ummm maybe i will go see both just to support…i hate the whole end of the world type movies, but Will is the king of sci-fi acting and i know he killed this role! so it should be interesting.

Oprah movie…booo. looks boring. I think because I didn’t like debate class when I was in school.Oprah can’t produce a movie…her team can though. I might sound like an Oprah hater right now, but her show is so “white” this season. I haven’t seen one black person on her show… I was pissed when she did that youtube episode. And not one black video was featured on her show. There was a girl named Enus or something, grant it, she is talented. I seen her videos, but what about some of the other black talented kids you on youtube that can use some of “Oprah’s touch”. You know once you go on Oprah, you get like a million hits, sell a million records, books….I’m just mad that Oprah is blatently not showing her own people some love…

my bad ya’ll. I’m just disappointed in Oprah forreal! It’s like she said fuck ya’ll black people! I’m rich bitch!

I digress…The Will movie looks good. I like action, sci-fi type movies anyway! This looks like it’s gonna be good.

Oh yeah…Oprah set the tone when her season premire had Lisa Marie Presley, I think Bonno or Elton John or somebody like that, and some other random person? She could of mixed it up!

ITs hard to get a feel as to what I am Legend is all about, but I will def check it out. WIll Smith is great.

#17 the everyone on earth dies from some kind of man made infection which Will Smith’s character is immune. Everyone else turns into Vampire like creatures. He’s the only human left to survive.

by producing it oprah is just funding it, its not likes she was there putting creative input. i love my oprah but this season of oprah is just boring. IM DEF. Can’t wait for I Am Legend. For people not familiar with this, it was based on a book from the ’50’s, and this actually the 3rd remake of the story. The first, “The Last Man on Earth” was made in the 60’s and starred Vincent Price. The second, “The Omega Man” starred Charlton Heston and was made in the 70’s. I’ve seen the previous two, and loved them.

The Great Debaters

That movie seems so phenomenal. I don’t know if I want to go see it at the movies. I pirate like crazy so I guess I’ll just download it.

Ive seen snips of I AM Legend. And well, I don’t know how great this film will be. He’s of course the main star and appears to be the only star of this film. But Ive seen him in action as the main star and co star of films and he’s brought exciting work to the table. I don’t know, I may end up paying to watch this.

I cant wait that Denzel movie looks wonderful and I know people are gonna be mad at it…I’ll support both…I like scifi too

I really don’t like the experience of watching most movies on bootleg, so it isn’t much of a sacrifice to say I won’t pirate these movies. But I can’t front: I will get down with free cable or pirated pay per view. However, every once in awhile we have to kick out some dough to the box office to send a message that we support (and want more of) this type of positive black entertainment. Generally, studios will produce whatever will make them the most money.

There is a place for “Soul Plane” and “The Great Debaters”, “Akela and the Bee” and “Who’s your Caddy?” as long as we have balance.

I can’t wait to see these movies. Always love movies like The Great Debaters showing black people are capable of doing many things, and that academics is one of many.

The Will Smith movie is derived from a book by the same name. You can tell from the trailer that it is LOOSELY based on the book. Hmmmm….not sure how i feel about that.

The Great Debaters looks like an awesome movie! I love it when my black people rep to the fullest, and this feels like a good look all the way around. So much black star power involved—Oprah, Denzel, Forrest, not to mention the up and comers, like Ms. Jurnee Smollet. I have always been a fan of her. Eve’s Bayou is one of my favorite movies to this day. The era that the movie is set in is one of my favorites, because despite all the opposition and oppression black people faced, they overcame. We were better because of all the obstacles we faced. I literally got tears in my eyes and chills watching that trailer. Seems like a powerful movie and I can’t wait to take my little sisters to see it. I think we can learn a lot and move farther if we looked back to move foward.

And I will be supporting will as well, with his fine self! LOL!

I’M JUST GLAD THAT THERE ARE BLACK MOVIES BEING MADE THAT ARE WORTH WATCHING SO I’M GONNA SUPPORT.

The Great Debaters will be a good movie - but is a better true story. This is some of that Black History that somehow get no real shine..

It is wonderful that Oprah is producing it, Denzel directing it, and 2 of the last 3 Brothers who won Oscars are starring.

This project is shining even before it hits theatres.

I am legend looks insane!

I am Legend IS based on the book and htere was a movie about it called Omega Man , now they are doing one with the same name of the book. People were complaining because the main character in the book Neville is White. It’s Will Smith who the f cares.

I can’t wait to see both, I will also be seeing This Christmas. I will skip the perfect Holiday.

Denzel is sooooo hott and so is Will so i will support their films. But what annoys me is how Will plays similar roles (world saver/ human robot blah blah blah) hes like the black Arnold Schwartenger, i loved him in Pursuit of Happiness and think he should switch it up a bit and be more varied in role choices.

The debating film looks good, and its one of my interests so i will definately be watching that film if it hits the UK

The two best actors of out time. Denzel is doing his thang this year. I love movies that tells stories from back in the day. Big ups to both of them. Looks like they will be good movies.
