Love it and it does take you back to another time. It reminds me of the more appreciable music from back in the old days. I remember when I was a little girl, my mother use to play the oldies and I though it sucked. I never wanted to listen to the songs, because of the music playing behind the lyrics. I thought that I needed to hear a more upbeat sound. However, as I got older I ended up falling in love with the oldies. This song reminds me of the oldies. It puts me in relax mode.

I have her CD, but haven’t taken the time out to actually listen to all of her songs. I’m stuck on Jill Scott’s CD right now. But I will check Alicia’s CD out tonight.

I have so much respect for Alicia because she has been able to stay true to her musical roots and not let the hype of music mainstream interfere with her creativity and artistic abilities. There is so much pressure for everyone to look and sound the same and she hasn’t fallen to these preconceived ideas about what a superstar is. She is a SUPERSTAR without jeopardizing her musical integrity. I love her. I don’t have her CD yet but I do plan on copin that.

I agree wholeheartedly…I love Raheem and the fact that some people are saying who is he lets you further know some people know NOTHING about real music.
I can listen to Alicia if I’m in a car and it’s playing yet I wont go out to purchase her album…I just can’t get into her like that and no I’m not saying I don’t like her because I do, she’s just not my taste and I have her last album.
