NE-YO DROPPED FROM R.KELLY TOUR

Ne-Yo was dropped unexpectedly from R. Kelly’s “Double Up” tour on Monday:

Yesterday, Shaffer Smith aka Ne-Yo was informed that he was being dropped from the rest of the R Kelly tour after delivering two sensational performances. Entertainment reporters, music critics, bloggers, fans, and concert goers all agreed that Ne-Yo’s performances brought the heat; but maybe it brought too much heat.

“I don’t understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing, said Ne-Yo. In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success. I love being on stage in front of fans because of the immediate feedback you get. You know right away if they are feeling you; and they were really feeling our show.”

Ne-Yo expressed genuine concern regarding not having the opportunity to complete the tour. He wanted all of his fans and supporters to be able to see him live. “To my fans and ticket holders – I apologize if you are disappointed.” [ SOURCE: SOHH ]

Could it be because of the Keyshia Cole rumor? Who knows.

This edition of who GQ’d it features two hit makers in R&B at the AMAs. Ne-yo arrived in an all black Ralph Lauren tuxedo but, for his performance went for this gray tuxedo jacket. Usher brought a little old school flavor in his grey two buttoned suit, and topped it off with a newspaper boy hat. Which singer GQ’d?

Mary J. has done it again with the second single from her upcoming album, Growing Pains. I was so proud of her Sunday night when I saw her up on that stage during the AMA’s, she was really giving it her all, and she looked absolutely beautiful. Mary J. Blige is doing her thing again on Growing Pains and it’s shaping up to be just as big of a project as The Breakthrough was. Good look, Mary.

Britney Spears feat. Lil’ Kim - Gimme More (Remix) (full) - listen
I was very disappointed with Lil’ Kim on “Chillin’ Tonight,” but this was probably the outlandish Kim that I was looking for. I thoroughly enjoy this remix to “Gimme More,” because I don’t even remember that Britney’s on it and Kim just really makes it her song, with all of her adlibs, speaking parts, and her two verses at the beginning and end of the song. It kinda make me want Kim to work with Danjahandz on her new project. Apparently, this is an “official” remix.

Kanye West spoke on stage in Brussels, Belgium on Sunday (11/18/07). The rapper talked about the passing of his mother, his emotions, and the media. He also dedicated the song ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ [by Journey] to his mother. I typed up most of what he said since some of you asked.
