We got like 20 emails asking what kind of shoes Beyonce was rocking backstage at the American Music Awards this weekend. They are actually “Closed Front Cage Sandals With Ankle Pads” from the Fall ‘07 line by Balenciaga. I remember this because Kanye West posted them on his blog last month.
Baller alert: They cost $4,175 a pair!

After Michael Vick turned himself in to U.S. Marshals, he was transported from the U.S. Courthouse in downtown Richmond, Virginia over to Northern Neck Regional Jail in Warsaw. Fox News quoted an order filed in U.S. District Court, which read,

Jay-Z grabs his 10th #1 selling album on The Billboard 200, as American Gangster debuts on top this week after selling 425,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This #1 album has tied him with Elvis in second place for the most #1 albums on the chart. The Beatles take the number one spot, with 19 #1 albums on the Billboard charts.
Jay-Z surpassed the Eagles (whose album is sold exclusively at Wal-Mart), who beat out Britney Spears last week. People were thinking that Chris Brown was going to be Jay-Z’s competition, but the teenage star debuted at #4 on the charts this Wednesday, selling just 294,000 copies.

Over the past year, Mya has been talking about Liberation and the tracks have been leaking left and right - I wasn’t sure what fresh material she was going to have to put on the album. And it seemed as though everything I was hearing was disappointing. She had a couple of failed singles (her camp attempted to release “Ayo” a while back, then came “Lock U Down,” which featured Lil’ Wayne - that didn’t even give it the push they needed). Now, here we are on single #3, “Ridin’” - which has gotten little media attention, much less, radio play.
