CONGRATS!!

I found this site awhile back, and have been hooked since! Like your posts and I love reading the comments they can be quite comical at times, sometimes not so much when all the uninvited rats come out and cause trouble. I use to visit perez hilton but grew tired of the posts and the comments are just not worth having a read and I have not visited that site for a whole 5months and counting! Congrats again, and btw LOOKING FIERCE!!!

I used to be ignorant like you cause I am light, bright, and damn near white with green eyes, but it took an African friend to point out that no matter what we look like on the outside, Black will tell. It’s B.M. I just wanted to point out a few clarifications for those who are interested. You were the first person I contacted for this feature, along with Fresh from Crunk + Disorderly (I’m very sad that I didn’t get to include Fresh, as she could not make the shoot - Much props to C+D!!) , Rod from Rod 2.0, Jam of HGM and Eskay of Nah, Right. The reason I decided to interview you guys is because individually, I feel that you all have a distinctive approach to your audiences, and will truly make a difference in, especially the younger readers’ lives. Why HGM? Because it was adapted into a TV show on BET and the result was controversial, of course, but it also opened up some much needed dialogue! Why Rod 2.0? because the brother covers not just issues that pertain to audience, but his extensive knowledge of politics is exhausting (check him out in the Huffington Post). And Eskay takes a more direct and simple no-nonsense appproach to his hip-hop audience that is a much-needed breath of fresh air.

As for the photo, it was not taken in terms of the importance of the subjects, but rather in terms of the photographer’s artistic vision, and of course, some people will have their own opinions on that matter! The readers here are also not aware that the interview consisted of the five of us chatting in a cafe for a couple of hours, covering a large array of topics, and at one point was joined by an ABC TV soap actress (who will remain nameless) who overheard our talk and was compelled to ask to sit in!

That being said, I would like to take the opportunity to give a shout to Brian and Tianna, I’m sorry I couldn’t include you for editorial reasons.

And Angel, it was truly an honor to get to meet and speak with a person whom I wholly admire and respect. I’ve been a fan of this site for a couple of years, and I know that life has many great gifts to bestow upon you in turn for bestowing us with the gift of entertainment! I wouldn’t take too much creedence in the negative remarks - I’m sure we both know that true power is in knowledge, knowlege is king, and nobody can take that away from you! Success is simply a by-product. And for you, it is assured.
