Angie Martinez hosted a Hair Show & Beauty Expo over the Thanksgiving holiday with celebrity guests Missy Elliott, Pepa, and Lil Mama. Other guests included Julissa Bermudez, Nina Sky, and Juelz Santana.

Also over the holiday, was the 34th Bayou Classic NCAA Football Game between Grambling State University and Southern University in New Orleans. Lauren London, Ray J, Dr. Ian Smith, and Soulja Boy were spotted at the game.
I LOVE the way Lauren London looks in here, the way she did in ATL. For some reason, I’m not feeling her nearly as much in that damn Sean John campaign…I like her more natural. She’s beautiful.
Glad to see Pepa was there cause her weaves are a bit much. she should go and hang with Lauren London her hair is always correct.
L Squared looks nice but all the negroes look blah. And somebody get those booty ass individuals out of Hurricane Chris’ hair.
Forgot to mention Lauren (why is she always playing a character at Spelman. It was like New New part 2, lol) did a nice job in “This Christmas” (aka “Soul Food at Christmas Time”) and I’m just glad Sharon Leal is getting some acting roles now…Dreamgirls, Why Did I get Married, and now This Christmas. I’m happy her career didn’t end with Boston Public (btw I loved that show).
Also big ups to the major play HBCU’s are getting! Morehouse got a nice little blurb at the dinner table during the movie! I might be attending an Ivy, but I still love my black peoples, lol. Get ‘em!

You are by far not the only one. With all the black star power it had it fell flat. I was completely underwhelmed. Maybe I’m use to Tyler Perry films now, which have the right amount of “unsuspected drama” with well timed comedy. The parts that were supposed to be funny weren’t delivered correctly and all of the “drama” was completely foreseeable. I mean they’re lucky they had a very beautiful and talented cast because the script and direction was mediocre at best. The best part was the soul train line during the credits… ::smh::. Okay I’m done posting for now, lol.

Everyone looks great. Lil Mama is cute for her age, although she looks a little older than i thought, but at least she dresses and acts age appropriate.
Haven’t gone to see this christmas bc from the previews it looked just like Soulf Food – right down to the two makin whoopee in the bathroom. I’ll catch it when it comes to HBO though.

Southern University is in Baton Rouge, LA. Home of the Mighty, Mighty Jaguars and the infamous Human Jukebox Southern Marching Band – Many times imitated, but never duplicated.

my favorite parts were: 1. the bath scene with regina king and her husband where she put baby oil on the floor and beat his ass with the belt, and 2. the soul train line at the end. “Dude” was working it.
