Cheryl “Salt” Wray and Sandra “Pepa” Denton partied it up all weekend at various events over in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Pepa turned 43 (yep, you read that right) on Friday (Nov. 2nd) so I’m assuming that’s why they were down there. Other celebs there: Gabrielle Union, Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo, and Joumana Kidd.

#36 I think I heard somewhere (don’t quote me) that even “low income” folks in the ghetto are finding ways to get breast implants and nose jobs. Of course these have to be people who probably slang rocks and stuff like that but Black folks are just into plastic surgery as anyone else. It isn’t a race thing. Plus many Black folks have intense self hate problems, and if they have a few thousand to throw too a new nose they would.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Pepas’ nose. The Rhinoplasty actually looks good, especially for a black woman who has such a round nose which is hard to shape out at times. ie; Janet Jackson.

That can’t be true or those stats must represent a very young/well-to-do demographic. Blacks in general don’t even visit doctors for routine checkups regularly, however, the trend is changing, Our fear or lack of concern for health in general is one reason why we’re lagging behind in terms of health in our community compared to other communities. Don’t let the recent boom and exposure of video chicks skew your opinion. Plastic surgery is still a taboo subject for cash-strapped blacks and minorities in general.

I’m a BIG Salt-N-Pepa fan + there VH1 show is soooooooooooooooooooo good and funny!
I wish everyone would knock it off with comments about Pepa’s nose job. Clearly, she had work done. Prior to that, she looked angry all the time with bags under her eyes! Just because someone has plastic surgery doesn’t mean they have self hate.. maybe, she just wanted to change that one thing she felt is outta place.. And you don’t have to have thousands under the mattress to afford it… There are a few companies, ie Capital One, that will finance surgery in the same manner as a car loan… Figure a $6000 job over 5 years to repay.. it’s not that expensive. I don’t know why people think that all black folk are poor and don’t visit doctors on a regular basis! And to answer anyone who thinks that I’ve had work done…. the answer is NO, I haven’t!
