First off im not even going to rant about all four guys being arrested are black because honestly im not surprised! I love my black people but i have very little faith in some of them and cases like this prove me right…

but my real question is why are 17 and 18 year old boys not in school doing something with ther lifes instead of getting caught up in this mess!

As for Rodney King its sad he got shot…but part of me wanted to laugh because i never thought he would be in the news again!

One is Latino. But anyway they have to pay the price for what they did. I will have no sorrow for them because when you do wrong you have to pay the price. Young people taking young people life. When will it ever stop??? (In general not just Black people but all young people).

I have been holding my breath to see what the suspects looked like. I was so fearful that they would be black. It breaks my heart to see this same story time and time again.
My sympathies to all 5 families involved because not only did the Taylors loose a son but also the families of the young boys who committed this horrible crime.

Last time I checked the stats, the jails are already overrunning with Black males. What can we do to prevent this sort of thing from happening?? I honestly wish I had the answer.
I do believe that the children are our future, but will they even be around?

People see young kids doing wrong, and say nothing at all, thinking it’s not my responsibility they aint my kids. When in fact that what’s these kids want is some boundries. All this blaming white folks has gotta stop, yes as a culture they have some f’d up ideas and ways of thinking be we as a culture of people need to start taking responsibility for our own. If you see a kid doing wrong say something, if you have kids start keeping tabs on who your kids hang with. Yeah these dudes need to be put under the jail, but the travesty is the fact that I can guarantee you when someone saw these kids getting off track they didn’t give them any guidance. There’s nothing scarier than a black man who don’t love or car about himself, and aint got nothing to loose. Forget the death penalty with these kids, they need to feel pain, years of pain. Death would be the easy way out for them.

The really sad thing about this situation is the fact that his parents have to outlive their son, the fact that a child has to grow up without her father who loved her. These kids found themselves in a situation they didn’t plan on getthing themselves into, and killed someone. Why because they didn’t think they needed to work for anything, so they would just take it from someone. So Black people wake up start looking out the kids in your neighborhoods, if you have kids start paying attention to them. So they end up in the same situation these young black men ended up in.

Well, now that I know the back story I can comment; Our people are f*cked up.

Another episode of the neverending ignorance of black on black crime. Self love and repect for others has to begin in the home.

Someone described one of the suspects as latino and he does have a latin name, however the latin stations here in Miami described him as “de la raza negra” or black. I was surprised because they always described latin violators, no matter how dark skin as “de la raza blanca” or white.

Anyway to some of those earlier posts pointing the finger to his”wife” or girlfriend of seven years(and some were downright nasty, and disrespectful to him and her, even called her a ho), I hope they would now expresss some appology for their rush to judgment.

This is horrible, to lose your life becaues people don’t want to work and get their own things. Too bad there wasn’t an alarm. This is why I don’t like a whole lot of people in my home or tell people what I got because some people you talk to or the people that do visit you go around talking about your stuff and people with theivery on the brain want to go shopping at your expense. This happened to a co worker of mine, she said her daughter had visitors alot and she was telling them they would be out of town one weekend, and guess what, the house was broken into through the garage. My cousin liked to have parties and quess what somebody broke into her house when she was at work and knew exactly where to go in her house to steal items. Another friend said that she suspected a guy from the neighborhood that she let cut her grass robbed her. She was telling him that the people stole out of her baby’s room and he slipped and said, you mean that piggy bank. And that’s exactly what was taken!!! I learned to watch who come into my house and especially door to door salesman. The dodr to door solicitors love to ask “Is your husband home”

In my neighborhood, I see a lot of young black boys that are just walking around at night in a group. Idleness is the devils playground. I hate to see that, they should be at home or at work somewhere. People should teach their kids, especially their sons to work, work, work. If they work hard, they will appreciate the value of earning what you have and will have a greater respect for the fact that other people that have more than them have done the same. It should help them to see the relationship between them, work, and getting the things you want.

Most of our sons are lazy and don’t want to work, if they got time to walk around, they got time to work in the house or at a local grocery or any store. Some of these single parents need to let the “man of the house” get a job and help out at home instead of sitting around being lazy and spoiled. That’s what my father and his brother did back in the day. I’ll be dog gone if I’ll be working 2 and 3 jobs and I got sons at home. Everybody in the house gonna have job!, even if its on the weekend. If they too young to work, they too young to be in the street. Parents need to start getting arrested along with them bad kids. No body wants to listen to Cosby and others because they get “offended” but we are offended you won’t raise your kids better so they can stop killing and robbing US!!!

I hope they bury those killers under the jail…murder in a commission of a home invasion robbery/burglary…oh hell yeah…that’s a wrap for them and I don’t care how old they are. I feel that there are simple rules in life-don’t kill, don’t rob, don’t rape and unfortunately there are people that cannot follow these simple rules and they are not hard rules to follow.

I’m not quick to believe that hose 4 guys are the ones involved with shooting sean. Early reports suggested that it was one person job (possibly a hitman), who worked for the mob. The person who shot him had been making threats (i.e. they left a knife in his bed a week before and had other violent dealings with sean prior to the shooting), due to some bad deals that he made. They kill me always rounding up random black folks as the suspects, when this is clearly an organized crime-related murder.
these reporters need to stop changing their story. at first they said it was a planned murder, and now they’re saying : “The suspects weren’t expecting Taylor to be home.” Whoever shot him KNEW he would be home, b/c this was NOT a robbery; this is was an execution.

Its amazing that even though its reported that some of these youngsters confessed to this crime, some people still want to believe that his “white girlfriend” had something to do with it. I for one find it hard to believe that a couple who developed a bond in their teen years would have this much distrust among them.
I , for one, am not surprised that blacks are involved with this, I know what us black people can do to each, being also the victim of a home invasion while my family were asleep - and no whites lived within miles of my home. At least one of the suspects is connected to Taylor’s sister: his cousin dates her and he attended her party at the house. They targeted his money but they didn’t expect him to be there. What is suspicious is why his alarm or even his phone failed to work and that he had been robbed before.

Oh, and the fiancee is Latina, the niece of actor Andy Garcia. Regarding any conspiracy theories: Let’s say she or her family decided to kill Sean. Why the hell would they select these dumbass punks? C’mon now. Let’s leave it at what it is: this man died saving his family’s life.

I don’t know what is wrong with some of these black men. Why do they feel it’s okay for their mother, sisters and aunts to go to work everyday but they can’t get of their lazy butt. I’m a black woman and I’m completely ashamed of some black men. Not to mention what is up with the justice system. Why is it everytime someone commits a crime they already have a record. These men already had records why weren’t they in jail? I don’t care how young you are if you do the crime you need to do the time. They need to start giving out harder prison terms. If Mike Vick co- defendents can get 18-20 months for killing some dogs the ones that sell drugs and carjack should get at least double.

Florida is not the place for using guns for criminal purposes. Florida has the death penalty as well as automatic sentences for use of a gun in a criminal offences( 10-20-30 rule). I believe if someone is injured in a crime such as robbery the sentence is an automatic 30 years - not to mention if some one is killed. Oh well………

Okay, Jackie Garcia “thought” the phone lines were cut off because she said when she picked up the phone there was no dial tone so she used her cell phone then the cops said the phone lines were not cut off but the intruders had took one of the phones off the hook so no one could use any of the phones. But anyways if the phones line were cut or not or if the phone was off the hook or not….someone came into that house to make sure no one will be able to call the police because the killer knew Sean was home..he wanted him dead…….I think these four guys wanted to rob the place and I think there is someone else was going to kill sean before those four boys broke into his house and shot him. Those four boys are not the same ones who broke into his house 8 days earlier and left that knife on his bed….it had to be someone else. I think them kids just got in the way of the REAL killer ….I could be wrong. But this was all a set up…someone wanted Sean dead…I do feel his baby mama is a suspect and there something about her that is not right. I also feel that maybe someone in her family is racist and didn’t like the fact that her and Sean were together so the only way to END in what they have was by trying to get him kill. His fiance isn’t white she is CUBAN.

I guarantee this is going to take a very long ass time to know in what really happen I do believe a hitman was hired to kill him and I do believe that those four boys got in the way of the hitman’s job by breaking into his house and shooting him the leg. We agree it definitely smells like a set up but I don’t think his fiancee’ was behind it…. she is from a wealthy family herself….. so kill him, the father of her child for what? So on the Sean Taylor case, it seems all too suspect to me. He gets robbed in his home which has a gate and alarm system which is conveniently off. Telephone lines are cut on the outside of the house. He gets shot in the leg and dies a day later.

I hate to play devils advocate but I have had the pleasure of meeting Sean a time or two seeing how my brother is in the NFL…GO TEXANS! Great guy! I can’t see why anyone would want to hurt him, but women have done stranger things because they have felt less than secure in their relationship.

I know that every ball player has at least 4 cellphones…iPhone, sidekick, Sprint, Blackberry. His girlfriend or wife has at least a cellphone or two…. if the phone lines were cut could you have at least grabbed a cellphone? It was said that he bled for sometime before the paramedics were called…why? I know we watch many crime shows on TV, but, these young thugs put together a perfect crime almost and must have been staking the place out for a while to know when he was gonna be there, know someone didn’t turn the alarm system on and scour over an iron gate which happens to be too tall to climb without a pole for pole vaulting. Sounds like someone wanted to scare him a bit, but didn’t know that a shot in the “LEG” would turn fatal.

Four suspects,and possibly a fifth,all the way from the opposite side of the state(Fort Myers) to do this.His half sister was said to be involved with one of the suspects uncle.It’s all crazy.In the end,it’s another black male dead OVER NOTHING.

The little girl has no father now! Just like most of the children where Im from, their fathers are dead or in jail. Just another statisti that could have been prevented. Oh well life does go on! Black men, I need your attention. This means you, Jimmy Rollins. Mr. Cosby, give me a minute. I’m talking both to Beasley Reece and the guy who drives the downtown
bus.

Will Smith and the electrician fixing the wiring at City Hall. The pastor at the Baptist church. The waiter at the Capital Grille. The pilot behind the stick of the USAirways flight this morning. The teacher in West Philly.

The barber in the first chair. Mayor-elect Nutter. The 14-year-old who thinks no one believes in him. The painter. The convict. The gay guy.
The sergeant just back from Iraq. The lieutenant who is going next week.

All of you. Listen up.

I’m tired of seeing young black men go into the ground.
Tired of seeing lives ruined by guns, and by drugs, and by bad choices,
and by people like me who sit idly by while it happens, because it isn’t happening to us.

Rich men, poor men, athletes, beggars, journalists, L.A., D.C., Detroit, Chicago, it doesn’t matter. We are dying. i’ve just spent two days with the Redskins, who are trying to deal with the fact that one of their best players and team leaders, a young,
complicated black man named Sean Taylor, is dead at 24, because someone
broke into his home at 1:30 in the morning Monday and murdered him.

There are those, including colleagues I respect, who say they’re not surprised, and infer that Taylor had it coming, because he had had a beef with some bad people two years ago that led to brandished guns andcars shot full of holes. And, thus, it was inevitable that he had todie, like life is a Shakespearean play or something. A Montague is dead; a Capulet must follow. It’s in the script.
No, no, no. That is wrong.

As black men, we cannot allow ourselves to be defined by anyone - by the
media or by ourselves - and accept the premise that one beginning means
only one possible ending. Sean Taylor, while no saint, was not a “thug.” He didn’t grow up in the ‘hood. He went to private schools before college. And even if he was a
thug - whatever that is - or embraced that culture during one part of his life, that doesn’t mean he deserved to die in front of his child and fiancée, in his home, bothering no one.

I’m angry that people cry about Sean Taylor’s death because he was an outstanding football player, as if his death has extra meaning because he had great closing speed. This is not about sports.

We have buried 200 Sean Taylors in this city this year. We don’t knowwhat would have come of their dreams and hopes. They deserve our tears,too, for they may have been anonymous to you, but they weren’t to their mothers and fathers, their best friends and lovers, their teachers and mentors.

I’m angry that, as of 2004, according to the Centers for Disease Control, homicide is the No. 1 cause of death among black men ages of 15to 34. I’m angry that the Justice Policy Institute found more black men in prison than in college.
I’m angry that young brothers who like school and want to learn are accused of “acting white,” and have to make the awful choice of sticking with their education or sticking with their boys.

It happened to me when I was 5. I’ve never gotten over it. How does one mend a heart brok en by those who look most like him? I’m tired of nodding in agreement as I did yesterday when Brian Westbrook talked about how he has to be extra careful these days, because he knows that, all-pro or not, he’s a target when he steps off
the field, and his celebrity provides no shield. “I feel as though everybody’s vulnerable, to a certain extent,” he said.

“You have to watch the company that you keep. You have to watch the situations that you put yourself in. . . . You can’t put yourself in a situation where your friends are doing dirt or bad things, and then youhang around those people. ‘Cause at some point, karma catches up with you.”

We can continue to throw our hands up and blame others or we can stop this genocide and deal with the recriminations later.
