My e-mail was being lit up about this song from Usher, so I had to see what all the hype was about. Usher, according to his cameo in the “Same Girl” video with R. Kelly was supposed to be dropping a new album in November. Guess what month it is? Then news sprung of Usher being kept on a short leash – no album for him, just spending time with his wife, because he has a child on the way. But here’s new material. I think I know what it is – Usher is a little afraid. How is he going to top what he did with Confessions?
Alicia Keys feat. Kanye West – No One (Remix) (full) – listen
Another “No One” remix – and I’m not even mad. I love Kanye’s verse, it’s so much fun. Like I said, I’m in love with “No One” right now, so adding Kanye to it just does it for me. I hope that all these remixes of “No One” though, don’t stop Alicia’s new single, “Like You’ll Never See Me Again” from getting spins because I am absolutely loving that song too. Make sure you go pick up Alicia’s new album, As I Am, in stores next Tuesday!
Chris Brown feat. T-Pain & Nelly – Kiss Kiss (Remix) (full) – listen
This song is fun already, but Nelly adds a playfulness to it that it I really like. I always said that a remix should improve on a song, not take away from it, and this remix does that for me. “Kiss Kiss” is #1 on the Billboard charts, and the last time I checked, it was #1 on the iTunes charts as well, and the video is getting so many spins on MTV that it’s making me sick. Maybe it’s not as much as a slump as we thought it was.
Mya – Give A Chick A Hand (full) – listen
Mya for me hasn’t delivered on Liberation, with the material that has leaked so far. However, even though “Give A Chick A Hand” isn’t the best song in the world, there’s something about it that I love. It just makes me want to bounce in my seat while it plays. As a matter of fact – I’m doing it right now. I’m not even sure what’s going on with Mya’s release date, I kind of just gave up on Liberation a while ago.

I quite like the Mya track. I’ve always liked this girl. Got more talent than ppl give her credit for. Shes a better singer than Cassie, Rihanna, Teairra Mari, etc.
the first voice is usher but the other voices are too thin to be his. maybe it’s a one chance song. or maybe someone’s impersonating usher to get attention. i know for sure though that the second voice isn’t him b/c that’s not his vocal style

Usher – leaked album trrack more than likely….i hated Same Girl and this does nothing for me. He has let his heat simmer for too long. People almost like forgot about him. See like how he had 2004 and Mariah dominated 2005….how come shes about to release another album before him….cause shes smart.
Alicia and Kanye – Some songs just dont need corny remixes. If its a remix what happened to new beats…is Mariah the only person that does that anymore….And im sorry those rhymes were LAME ASS!!

A lot of the postings and comments that have been made, further let me know how important it is for an artist to be *seen* and not *heard*. An artist can fall off the scene for a little while, but lawd forbid they try to comeback, because suddenly there’s a roast about how bad his/her music is. But allow an artist like Beyonce to drop a song and/or album, and people are willing to sacrifice their first child for a copy of the album. Mya’s song may not be the best song out there, but the song is hot. The subject matter is new and fun. And she’s hot. Give a little credit where credit is due – “give a chick a hand”!!!!

That’s not Usher. The song was written for him and intended for him to record, but that’s the studio version by an unknown singer. The plan was to pass this on to Usher to see what he thought of the track and how it might sound if he did it (which is why it starts with ‘Usher, Usher…’ at the opening).

Ok, Mya’s song is good not the best off Liberation but it is. Very different way to look at a cheating situation.
By now ya’ll should know ALL 13 tracks from Liberation have leaked. Makes me feel bad knowing the CD is being pushed back ’til eternity comes, because the CD is actually quite good!!
“Give A Chick A Hand” is a fun track, but there are other standout tracks on the CD. Have a listen guys and Brian you could’ve posted “Switch It Up”, “Still A Woman”, “Life’s Too Short” or “Nothin’ At All”. So do me a favor and listen to the CD. Liberation is good, nice writing from and production.

That’s not Usher’s voice. sounds nothing like him. It’s either someone from his label or he’s featured on the song, but that definately isn’t him singing the lead.

Liberation was released in japan. i got a copy. it aint all that bad. if u hear the album in its entirety it makes sense. it was less than i expected i must admit. i have a feeling her label ‘censored’ some of the material Mya may have wanted on there because the content is not worthy of the title ‘Liberation’ – its still so restrained.
i’m hoping the smoke and mirrors rumors are true and she gives us something good and new to bump too.

Oh my fault!!!! That is NOT Usher singing at all. That is Ne-Yo though!!! I am positive that is Ne-Yo. This is probably the song Ne-Yo wrote for Usher for him and an example of how the arrangement is going to go!!! But that is Ne-Yo though!!! You can tell by the Ad-libs!!!!
