I was so proud of her Sunday night when I saw her up on that stage during the AMA’s, she was really giving it her all, and she looked absolutely beautiful. Mary J. Blige is doing her thing again on Growing Pains and it’s shaping up to be just as big of a project as The Breakthrough was. Good look, Mary.

I was very disappointed with Lil’ Kim on “Chillin’ Tonight,” but this was probably the outlandish Kim that I was looking for. I thoroughly enjoy this remix to “Gimme More,” because I don’t even remember that Britney’s on it and Kim just really makes it her song, with all of her adlibs, speaking parts, and her two verses at the beginning and end of the song. It kinda make me want Kim to work with Danjahandz on her new project. Apparently, this is an “official” remix.
Nicole Scherzinger – Who’s Gonna Love You (snippet) – listen
Even though Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls fame’s album has been pushed back, she is still searching for a single that the fans wanna hear at her official site, hernameisnicole.com. Polow Da Don produced this, and in all honesty, even though it’s just a snippet, I’ve liked this more than anything else that I’ve heard. I think Nicole needs to go back in the studio and just rework the entire project to cater to her audience, because the songs she gave were not up to the hype that they brought along with her.
Akon – Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ (full) – listen
Michael Jackson is putting together an anniversary edition of his smash, Thriller. According to Roger Friedman of FOX 411, four of the original Thriller tracks are being remixed by Kanye West, Akon, and Will.I.am for the CD. To say the least, that should be completely interesting. Honestly, Akon’s remake is not that bad. The production is a little corny, but I can’t even hate.
Lil’ Kim can make some hot msuic when she puts her mind to it. I think she should totally reinvent herself and come back hard. Same goes for Brit-Brit.

“Work That” is an ok song. I agree with #5…Mary sends a good message thru song. I stil feel that Mary could do a lot better. I’m going to give her a break since she’s getting old.
