I find it strange some of us associate Europe with class? Is it because it is predominately white people? I don’t know if anyone has answered this yet, as I’ve not read all the comments…But I can tackle it… The reason people get upset over furs is because even if the animals aren’t treated with breathtaking cruelty (and they are, when they’re often skinned alive) there’s still the reality of wearing fur…it’s a wanton disregard of life…really, because you don’t “need” fur as one “needs” leather for sturdy, durable shoes or as one “needs” meat for nourishment.

I agree that Russel is a hypocrit, probably… But living a vegan lifestyle is not conducive to weight loss (although most lose weight when transitioning into veganism). You can still eat very fattening foods: french fries, spaghetti, a host of vegan desserts, apple pie, breads, oreos….I mean, there’s so many fattening things to choose from.
