I admit I’m a hater when it comes to Angela and Vanessa. I cannot stand nepotism. Nepotism is a beetch to all the hardworking people who have to grind to get theirs. The average person has to work 100 times harder just to get any luv. Everything they got was becuz of their family name from the magazine stuff, to the shoes, to the guiding light role. There are many, many people who are doing the damn thing trying to get theirs and all they have to do is walk into their uncles office and BAM! No degree in fashion or acting ability (I saw Vanessa she needs a few more classes with an acting coach), shes not bad but not great either. Anybody else would probably have to have a long resume and go through many, many auditions just to get in the acting biz.

I only saw one pair of the shoes thats even cute, the others look like trash to me, thats just me opinion. I haven’t seen the clothing line yet, I’m going to check it out, hell, it may even be cute. But nepotism is a slap in the face for all hard-working people.

I’ve been reading the comments about Gabrielle Union and how she feels the black blogs are too negative. And she made the comment about them not “checking facts” and it’s not responsible journalism, etc.

No offense, but when I think about journalists or “responsible” journalism, I do not think about these celebrity blogs. I think about The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The LA Times or the Chicago Tribune. The people that write for those publications are professional and experienced JOURNALISTS. ANYBODY can start a blog. You can get a crackhead off the street to start a blog. (no offense CL)

I think Gabrielle may be expecting too much of these blogs. I know her main complaint is about the comments made and they can get pretty harsh. But unfortunately, when you have a place where people can anonymously comment about people and things, you are bound to get some negative ones. And sometimes they are not so much negative as they are brutally honest opinions.

I am sorry that the comments hurt Gaby’s feelings but unless they are hurting her career…she is going to have to develop thicker skin and keep it moving. I’m sure she has heard harsher things from people in the industry (black and white) and she’s had to deal with it.
