I got a chance to catch up with American’s Project Runway favorite, Mychael Knight the other day and got some insight into his new lingerie line, Kitty & Dick. Mychael has put together a group of performance artists called the Kitty’s Litter to brand and market the new line of intimate apparel. They are the faces of. Myke describes the girls as being The Pussycat Dolls, meets Victoria Secret’s Angels, meets The Fly Girls! And he’s absolutely right. I’ve had the opportunity to sit in on a couple of rehearsals, and these girls are super talented.
I promised Myke that I wouldn’t reveal too many secrets, so I won’t tell you too much. But the girls (from left-to-right in the top photo), Candis, Marcia, Rae, Maya, Kendre and Sonni, choreographed by Victor Jackson, will perform with a guest recording artist, entertainer, or personality each month at the Kitty & Dick Suite! So be on the look out, because it’s going to be hot!
Love the pictures… Dont know who the girl on top of the T’s are but she has a fly ass pose. Looking forward to seeing what they are about!

But i agree, the name is kind of risky and not respectful for a decent project, but hey don’t you think that PUSSY CAT DOLLS IS REALLY SEXUAL !!! So he should have found something more subtile but controversal!!
SERIOUSLY? I am not hating, I kinda like the colors and stuff but honestly? These designs were already done in 2005 for the David Banner video. What is so innovative about this? I mean I would wear a few pieces but that’s ONLY for wild summer parties.
Mychael did NOT deserve to win project runway…#74 is right…with the exception of the outfit he made from trash, all his other work was underwhelming. I do, however, think he’s talented but more in a helping-to-realize-another’s-idea than a design-my-own-collection kinda way. He’s just lacking in taste, I guess…he doesn’t really haven an aesthetic, really…his work is ALWAYS without artistic design. But, when he worked with Laura, he did well…he, basically, knows how to imbue another’s sophisticated design with an element of youth…but that’s not the same as creating a youthful, sophisticated design from jump.
Jeffrey deserved to win, his stuff was leaps and bounds ahead of the pack. Laura’s stuff always looks the richest, though…it looks timeless…I would love to get my Mom a few of her things.
The clothes would be cute on MyScene dolls….

I am a big fan of Project Runway. I am not surprised that Mycheal came up with this tacky name and over done marketing concept. I like the guy but he doesn’t have an original thought in his head.
I knew when they had that challenge on Project Runway where each designer had to come up with a 3-word slogan to describe their design and his was “Sexy-Sensual-Seductive” that he must read on a 6th grade level. He should get some help with that.

Yes, the names of the line and the group is risque and need revisions. However, *no* designer or their ideas automatically starts out on top. All of you haters keep referencing Victoria’s Secret, but how many of you would really wear their designs from the 70′, 80′s, and 90′s? Well? You hater’s need to stop counting Mychael out the second he leaves the gate. Instead, lend *constructive* criticism and support him so that he stays in the game long enough to improve on his designs and become a hit like Victoria’s Secret.
As for the models, these girls are very beautiful. Just because they aren’t tall, stick thin, and white/light-skinned doesn’t mean they don’t look like or can’t be models. It’s good to see something different, especially dark skinned sisters. And just because a Black person’s skin color shouldn’t be an issue doesn’t mean it isn’t. Yall know whether or not a light skinned sistah has less talent or looks she will be favored over a dark skinned sistah; e.g. Beyonce v. Kelly R. This is true in the Black community as well as American society.

It’s funny how people say negative things about this project but will watch and support all the ghetto mess on BET. What else are black people good at besides judging and hating. I Bet when Victoria Secret came out with their line, all the white people supported them helping it be successful.

I’m sorry but from what I’ve seen Mr. Knight’s enterouge at a few of their gatherings and they don’t appear to be the maturest group to help him succeed in this industry. They act like a bunch of college kids on spring break.
I like what I see and I think that the name Kitty and Dick is very creative! I’m not just saying that because he is my brother. Micheal is very talented in what he does. I really like Mychael Knight, I liked his designs on project runway and I think that this line is going to be really nice too. I also like the idea of the line being modeled by dancers, especially since the choreographer is Victor Jackson (I went to high school with him and he is a GREAT choreographer!). So the whole idea is great, but he messed up when it came to the name. The name alone would make people not want to wear it even though it looks great.
I love the name Kitty & Dick.. If you visit his website you’ll see it’s a line of Womens and MEN’S undies.. Boy short and Boxers… Hince.. Kitty&Dick.. Some people just have to complain about something.. ALWAYS LOVE…
