♫ Rihanna – Umbrella (Acoustic Version)
So, after two other artist took a stab at an acoustic version of her pop hit, Rihanna decided it was time to work her voice out on an ultra-mellow acoustic version of “Umbrella.” This more mellow version was also recorded by Marie Digby (it could be heard playing on MTV’s popular reality hit, “The Hills”) and also by Mandy Moore. So even though Rihanna gave an excellent delivery on her dancefloor version of the song, what do you guys think of Rihanna crooning over this acoustic guitar? Hot or not?

I love Rih Rih so anything that this chic does is A-OK in my book! I love her style and new persona!! I will definately peep Rih in the futue on any product she puts out acoustic or not!!!

This was nothing official, right? Wasn’t it merely an in-studio performance she did for radio? I think there are pictures of her making the appearance (in the UK, I think). It’s not like she’s recorded this song to release it, officially… When I first heard this last week, I thought she was milking the Umbrella thing, too…but nah…it’s merely a performance… Sounds good, though!

BTW: I like Mandy Moore’s acoustic version better. She really made it sound completely new and fresh. Rihannas still sounds somewhat like the origional (probably has to do with the fact that she sang the origional).

Well Luckily for me I did not allow the radio to dictate to me how many times I have to hear this song in rotation. However it is a nice Song,and it sounds pretty cool and laidback cuz as urban as I am, I do like to enjoy acoustic/jazz/latino jazz. But she is a beautiful girl and I’m proud of her and she’s come a long way from Pon De Replay!
However, If Jay-Z asked me if he could hit me (sexually), I’d say hell yes too, he signs al lthe checks! And men can basically do what they want is this world, just trying to fit in and stay in the mix, keep self happy and prosperous like the next man/woman.

The “dance” version had so many distracting sounds that it sort of drowned out her voice. With this acoustic version, her true voice is so much clearer. I won’t say that it was horrible, but there were parts that made me cringe. So yeah, to sum it up, this girl must have been sucking some major dick to get that record deal. I still like the song though, no matter who sings it.
