MARY J. BLIGE’S GROWING PAINS
Saturday, December 15, 2007

Mary J. Blige - Roses
Mary J. Blige definitely did her thing on the new joint, Growing Pains, which hits stores this Tuesday, December 18th. I’m definitely going to pick up my copy. This time around, Mary worked with a plethora of producers, some that she’s done tracks with before. The album includes productions from The Neptunes, Bryan-Michael Cox (with whom Mary has excellent chemistry), The Dream & Tricky Stewart, Jazze Pha and Stargate. I think this album was a good melting pot of huge name producers, coming together to make a cohesive album for an established artist.
Mary J. Blige feat. Ludacris - Grown Woman
It’s hard to choose a favorite on Mary’s album because I actually like a lot of it. She really gave a solid effort - not that I was surprised, because The Breakthrough was a hugely successful and impressive effort from her. I’m proud of Mary.
Go visit Mary on MySpace and show her some love. Also, make sure you pick up your copy of Growing Pains next Tuesday, December 18th.

I have to say that I’m loving Mary right now. I am the opposite of a lot of people in that I wasn’t a huge fan at the beginning of her career, don’t get me wrong I dug ALL the singles and her vibe, but I just wasn’t in to her that much. But with the Breakthrough she got me and I haven’t let go, she really can’t do wrong to me. When you go through a Breakthrough in your own life you can really start to feel where she’s coming from.
GO MARY!!!

I like his CD and all bUt there is nothin “grown folks” about it. This is her most commercial CD to date.
I do like the album though. The ballas like “Hurt Again” an “Stay Down” are hot. And her vocals have stepped up. Most of all jsut admire her trying to to improve as a person.

MARY ROCKS. Now THIS is how you do a grown woman’s album, JANET!
It’s so nice to see a grown woman singing grown woman thangs, not Janet’s ridiculous “heavier than the first day of a period” lyrics and her mumbling, groaning and giggling her way through a song at the age of 41+. UGH! Thank you Mary for saving us from such unbecoming nonsense!!!!
It’s obvious that Mary is gonna milk the “How I Got Over” sentiment for the rest of her career and that is her marketing niche. It is becoming just a little bit burdensome and unauthentic, but she has cornered that market and she does it well. Plus she always works with great producers and songwriters that give her great beats, music and lyrics.
Now if she could just lose that blond hair (but that ain’t nevah gon happen).

Am I the ONLY person who is stuck with REALITY?? I’m not hating on Mary at all because the Breathrough was a great album.. but this time around Mary has FLOPPED. Just fine has got to be the worst/ most annoying song I’ve heard since Nicole’s “Baby Love” (no shade, i love nicole) I think that BRIAN is so damn BIAS and if you’re going to have a BLOG you need to be 100% “real” with what’s hot and what’s not. Has anyone seen Mary perform Just Fine??? She starts pop-and-locking and shit.. WHOAA MARY!! You’re NOT a dancer (see Love & Life (Mary J Album that flopped b/c she thought she was a dancer) for details)
And am I the ONLY one who thinks that when Mary gets on stage she starts SCREAMING out the lyrics??? Again, I like Mary.. Vocally She’s no Teedra Moses but hey, she’s been in the industry for a while. If you ask me, it’s all about who you team up with b/c Faith Evans can clearly out sing Mary blowing milk bubbles… haha, that was funny! …Anyways, I just thought I’d say what I felt since everyone else is doing it… Let the controversial debates begin!

#48…I couldn’t agree anymore…all that screaming and attempts at dancing drives me nuts. Every singer isn’t meant to be a dancer too. I’ve seen Mary in concert twice and wanted my money back both times. She tries too hard and it’s painful to watch and listen to.

Brian, Mary does not have “excellent” chemistry with Bryan-Michael Cox. They had one good song together, that does not mean that everything else they’ve done has been that great. If anything Mary and Chucky Thompson who produced “My Life” have excellent chemistry together.

Shut your fifth grader self up! “Vocally, shes no Teedra Moses”???? WHAT THE FUCK! Mary J. would stomp Teedra Moses out vocally, lyrically, artistically. Since when did after making one album make you worthy of even being compared to a legend.
Faith Evans can’t even hold a candle to Mary…for instance, a Faith Evans album came out nearly 4 years ago and we haven’t heard from her since, wanna know why? Cause Mary has ended her career just like Beyonce ended Ashanti’s.

I agree with Be Real People. I’ve never understood the fascination with her. Like another poster said, My Life was her best album. I commend her for trying something new, but I disagree that it’s “fiyah” or “she does it again” or “better than her last CD” praises. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but she’s blah and I’ve only heard one song that’s worth listening to and that’s Stay Down.

LET ME SAY THIS. IF PEOPLE DO NOT FEEL MARY THEY ARE UNDER 25 AND DIDN’T GROW UP WITH THE QUEEN LIKE SOME OF US 1976 PEOPLE. SO GIVE IT A SHOT AND LISTEN TO THE WORDS AND THE BEATS ARE BANGING. LUDA VERSE HOT ….. HE SPIT….. I CAN UNDERSTAND THIS SONG GROWN WOMAN…. CUZ I AM GOING THROUGH JUST THAT. MARY SONGS ARE EMOTIONAL IN EVERY WAY. RIHANNA AKA ROBYN IS LAME AND WHACK AND WILL NOT HAVE ANOTHER NUMBER 1 SONG EVER AGAIN. SHE IS WHACK AND IS NOT ABLE TO CARRY A NOTE AND SHE SUCKS SAUSAGE FOR BEATS. I KNOW THIS FIRST HAND… CUZ SHE DID THAT IN THE STUDIO TO A PERSONAL FRIEND OF MINES. SO WHATEVER. U WON’T NEVER HEAR OF MARY J BEIN ON HER KNEES FOR BEATS.
RECOGNIZE ROYALTY AND RECOGNIZE PEASANTS. BOW DOWN TO THE QUEEN.

ALSO—- AS AS SIDE NOTE…. I AM NOT TRYIN TO DISS NOBODY BUT UNDERSTAND THAT AN ARTIST THAT HAS BEEN IN THE GAME AS LONG AS MARY …. SHE IS LIKE THE ARETHA FRANKLIN OF OUR TIME. ARETHA HAD SO MANY CHANGES AND SO MANY POWER RECORDS …. MARY IS ON HER WAY TO THAT. IN MY BOOK SHE STILL GOT IT AND ALWAYS WILL. I LOVE HER ENERGY ON EVERY ALBUM… KENDU NEEDED TO GO SIT DOWN FOR AMINUTE AND LET HER GET IT CRACKIN. BUT I KNOW MARY AND I KNOW THAT SHE HAS CHANGED SO MUCH AND GROWING EVERY DAY AND GROWING INTO HER PERSON THAT SHE IS NOW. U MUST LEARN TO RESPECT THE ARTISTS THAT ARE RESPECTABLE.
JUST CUZ RIHANNA WIG IS CUTE DOESN’T MAKE HER THE BEST ARTIST EVER. NOW I AM GLAD SHE TOOK THE AWARDS OUT FROM UNDER PHONY A$$ BEYONCE BUT SHE WILL NOT HAVE THAT SPOTLIGHT NO MORE.
SHE NEEDS TO BE ORIGINAL
FURTHER MORE… MARY J PASSED ON UMBRELLA CUZ SHE WANTED RIHANNA TO ROCK THAT. SHE IS A QUEEN AND A QUEEN DOES AS SHE SEE FIT. SHE IS NOT A HOG LIKE BEYONCE. SHE IS GENEROUS YO.
SO CHECK THE FACTS BEFORE YOU YOUNG KIDS GO OFF THE DEEP END BIGGING UP ALL THESE OTHER ARTISTS. MARY IS AND ALWAYS WLL BE ALL ABOUT REAL TALK AND GROWTH FOR EVERYONE…. ESPECIALLY HER TALKIN REAL ABOUT US WOMEN. SO IF U CAN’T LOVE IT LEAVE IT ALONE. LISTEN TO RIHANNA BUT THAT WON’T HELP U GROW OR MOLD ANY EXPERIENCES FOR YOU…. MARY IS FOR THE PEOPLE MAN. SHE GOT THAT
ON LOCK. SHE WILL DO GOOD NUMBERS.
A KEYS IS ALSO VERY REAL WHEN IT COMES TO THE MUSIC. I’M SORRY BUT THE BUBBLE GUM CELL PHONE RINGING SINGERS WHO JUST GOT KNOWN RECENTLY… LACK TALENT. THEY IN IT FOR THE MONEY NOT FOR THE PEOPLE.

I like the song. I am tired of everyone comparing Mary to fucking no talent Rihanna. Why are they even compared. They are not even in the same genre of music. Mary is R&B soul, Rihanna is Pop. You don’t hear shut up and drive or stop the music on your hip hop/r&b soul radio stations, so what’s the point. The only thing they have in common is that both are black. I take that back, Mary is black. Rihanna is getting whiter and whiter by the minute and is a wannabe a rocker chick. She has no identity. First she wants to represent Barbados with dancehall, then be edgy. Mary knows whos she is! She is a grown ass woman who has clout and respect not only in r&b, but the whole music industry.

@#50 YO U CAN GO BY THE NUMBERS BUT ALSO REALIZE THAT UHHH EVERY RECORD COMPANY HAS A “BUDGET” FOR RECORD SALES …. EVERY ARTIST HAS A “BUDGET” AND THEY DO NOT UTILIZE ALL FOR THE MAKING AND COMPLETION OF THE ALBUM… SO GUESS WHAT: THAT MEANS THAT THEY HAVE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ TO BUY THEY OWN RECORDS! EVERY ARTIST DOES IT…. THEY HAVE A “STREET TEAM” THAT WILL GO TO EVERY STORE AND BUY OUT THE RECORDS MAN….
WOW…. U REALLY THINK EVERYONE LOVES RIHANNA? lol!!!! WOOOOOW
YEAH…. I THINK ALICIA KEYS RECORD IS FIRE AND CLASSIC AND TIMELESS AND ACTUALLY DID NUMBERS THAT ARE “FOREAL” UNLIKE RIHANNA NON SINGING A$$. SHE CANNOT SING FAM. U CAN SIT THERE AND ARGUE ME DOWN… BUT GUESS WHO HER BOSS IS : JAY MFN Z AND GUESS WHAT? HE GOT DOWN THE SAME WAY: NO BODY I KNOW BOUGHT HIS CD…. SO HE BOUGHT WHAT HE COULD AFFORD IE: HIS SALES HE PURCHASED.
THEY ARE DONE. JAY Z AND RIHANNA AND BEYONCE…. PEOPLE NEED SOME NEW ENERGY YO. THESE PEOPLE ARE FAKE AS I DON’T KNOW WHAT.
REAL MUSIC IS COMING BACK BECAUSE REALNESS ALWAYS KILLS FAKE ISHT SO RECOGNIZE I AM ON THE INSIDE. I AM TALKIN REAL TALK. U CAN CHOOSE TO BELIEVE OR NOT TO BELIEVE.

Alicia Keys’ album is not “classic” that had to have been her worst album to date (but it still was good) but to say it was classic is just asinine.
And record sales don’t exactly determine greatness…..Example: Fergie sold 3,000,000 copies does that mean her album was great? Didn’t think so!

Whoooooa to those who say Mary can’t sing live. She can sing her ass off live. I’ve seen her in concert too so I don’t know what to tell ya. Maybe she wasn’t feeling the crowd or maybe ya’ll weren’t never fans of Mary in the beginin, but here in Bmore she was incredible when she came down. As far as her dancing, she does a pretty good job for someone who isn’t practicing with a choreagrapher (spelled wrong, I know). I mean she a vet so she don’t have to sweat out her weave anymore. LOL. Back in her early days u betta believe she was in the dance studio puttin in work like all the wanna be R&B girls today tho. Just look at her videos from the 90’s.
Anywho Mary always have a “I’ll cut ya ass” song on her cds. LOL. Gotta love it though. She speaks the truth in her songs for all women. I’m not taking anything from Alicia Keys but I’m not feeling her new cd. Its waaay too sad and drab for me. My friend who is a depressant loves it to death tho. LOL. I haven’t heard the whole thing but I wasn’t impressed with what I did hear. Alicia’s singles so far are okay but…. I will be getting Mary’s cd bright and early on Tuesday!

Biggest Mary J. fan but hate Just Fine. Overall, she has a message and she’s the queen of R&B because she addresses real issues. She’s not a down and out type of woman. She hits on real things that have happened, but you can also hear the transformation and joy in her songs now. Her big hit that brought her into the light last year was about the love she has for her man (Be Without You and We Ride). Not to mention her uplifting Run Away Love to help young girls. I think people just like to focus on the negative, but if you like it you like it, if not then you don’t. Can’t force anyone to like her style. Again, she is one of my favorite artists, but I think Rhianna does her thing for her market. I also love what Keyshia Cole puts out. Yes she has been through a lot in love and relationships and it shows, but she is going to be around and we’ll probably see her growth as she finds happiness too.

Mary got too much love last time around, IMO…She only got those Grammy nods because the CD produced a monster hit, just as Rihanna has several nominations because she had a hit…If it had been closer to an easily respectable vein, like “R&B” as opposed to bubblegum pop, Rihanna would have gotten as many as Mary, herself. The truth is, the Grammy is no longer what it was…they’ve gone downhill BIG TIME…several years ago they began awarding not the most deserving artists but the MOST POPULAR…and why is that? Because if this person can sell 3 million records and draw hundreds of thousands to a concert, this person can also draw MILIONS to my television production (the award show). People in this country are shameless opportunistic rats, really… For instance, there was NO REASON Beyonce should have been nominated for a Golden Globe…and of course she didn’t win but they did so many closeups on her that night it was ridiculous. She meant higher ratings…It was the same when they knocked Minnie Driver, WHO WAS IN THE FILM “PHANTOM OF THE OPERA,” out so Beyonce could perform the song: “Let’s just face it,” they said, “Beyonce is a bigger draw.” And, in shameless fashion, they pushed Beyonce onto the stage not one but what…4 times??? It was, essentially, a watch-the-Oscars-and-get-a-free-Beyonce-concert type thing…I wonder how many companies ran spots?
Many musicians are basically disillusioned…they scoff at the Grammy awards, these days… It’s silly that they’re awarding TPain, Jay Z, Soulja Boy, Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye (sure, he deserved it in years past and this year he deserved a nod in rap categories BUT NOT 8 nominations…this CD was NOT like his other CD’s); Mary J Blige (for Just Fine? lol Are you serious?); Fergie…
The list goes on and on but it’s crap, seriously…NONE of those people should be nominated for ANYTHING this year… It’s lame and if Amy Winehouse doesn’t at least tie the record for most wins in one night, I will start a freaking petition!!! Sure, she can lose to a more worthy opponent, but NOT Rihanna or Beyonce or Kanye..COME ON!

I have been down with Mary since I saw You Remind Me on Video Soul and all I have to say is I am 27 and I love Mary’s music. I have grown up listening to her struggles and her happieness. I love seeing what hairstyle Mary is going to Rock what her clothing game is like. She has stayed true to the RnB game since 411. For me you dont have to dance around all on stage to put a show. She doesnt have to be a songwriter to be the best singer out either. She does what she does and she does it well. So yeah she may struggle to hit some notes but she has come a long way and her new outlook is great. All I have to say is GO HEAD MARY. DO YOU!! You cant live your life trying to please everyone and not everyone will like her just like not everyone likes RiRi~ Altho I did buy her cd and its okay. No she not Mary nor do I put her in a category with her she is young and has a way to go. She still has a lot to figure out too. So what if she did the dancehall or punk rock thing~ that someone previsously stated life is about change.

This is about Mary’s new CD - how is the world is almost every other artist being discussed in a review for her CD? Why can’t people just like who they like, enjoy the music they enjoy without all of the nonsense about other artists.
Not everything has to be contentious -

Mary has grown on me ,but at my core I still think she is a pretty unimpressive singer. In fact, there is an interview somewhere on the internet-I read it a few years ago-where Mary talks about Faith Evans and actually sates that Faith is a great siner and that she wishes that she could sing like her.
Mary is all image and good marketing. Bottom line. She also appeals to a audience that didn’t have much of a voice or image in the entertainment industry until she arrived.
Her material is decent, all of her material is decent.

well me being mary’s bigest fan i have to say there is no to many artist that came out in the early 90’s still making relevant music. Mary will always be the QUEEN and thats, that. Growing Pains is the best follow-up album I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s like a Sequel and a really good one.

I love Mary J. Blige. I can relate to almost all of her songs. She is the truth, and her songs are about stuff that almost everyone from all walks of life can relate to and that’s what I love about her.
The Breakthrough is an amazing album and I am equally as impressed with this album ‘Growing Pains’. I will definitely be copping this album next week! :o)

Mary is the GREATEST SINGER of this generation, NO SINGER who “CANT” sing DO NOT last 17 years in the game and remain on top, NO singer who “CANT” sing DO NOT get on stage with the GREATS like Aretha, Chaka. Patti, Gladys, Stevie, Elton etc. NOBODY can outsing Mary, Mary has 4 octaves, her voice can go ANYWHERE, she can sound like a man, she can sound like a lil’ girl. Mary is versatile when she sings, jus’ because she not singing about Kitty Kats & Bubblegum you DUMB broke YOUNG idiots dont understand her, ONLY the normal successful people understand her, thats why she is now OPRAH’s NEW BESTFRIEND and is KNOWN all across the world as THE QUEEN & THE VOICE! And to the dumb fuck that said Mary wish she could sing like Faith, stop fucking LYING you dumb weirdo, Mary would NEVER EVER say no dumb shit like that, she has stated on several occassions that she is HAPPY with what she has…it’s raw, it’s raspy, it’s soulful, it’s high, it’s low, it’s deep, it’s all kind of things, at least she still has a voice for her LOYAL FANS and not some broke BITTER people who is mad because Mary is the ONLY REAL SINGER from the 90’s STILL standing, where is SHITney? Phoni Broketon? Trandy? DEADliyah? Coke Evans? NOWHERE! Mary will be the last and ONLY SINGER standing.

I’m a little nervous about you #77 - that was a foul thing to say about Aaliyah. She was a great artist in her own right and so were/are the others you mentioned. I love Mary, too, but many of the things that make Mary so great is because she overcame so many things. However, her struggles almost parallel Whitney Houston’s who you so callously put down. Abusive men, drugs, etc…and we should be praying for Whitney’s full and total recovery so she, too can regain her whole life, the same as Mary was able to. Agree or disagree, you need to check yourself joking about someone being taken from this world so soon.

People mustn’t have anything better to do on a saturday night
@65 Fergie is disgusting. Her records are tailored to reach a certain “demographic”. Ms. Keys, makes music for older crowds I think.
Mary J Blige is certainly a favorite. She deserves the best cause she is a great voice for those who like that. Not everyone likes that voice. Just like folks were discussing rianna. Not everyone likes that voice either.
At the end of the day, these folks do this for money.

Why do black people have to always “pit against one another”? First off, Mary is not the same music genre as Rihanna..SO JUST STOP IT!! Secondly, Mary J. has to stay relevant to the game and the music industry, because she is aging and she has to still be able to connect, unlike Janet Jackson and others, who simply don’t know how to stay relevant and cross music genre and age groups. So for this, I give Mary J. Mad props..I was at my daugthers 6th grade Winter Ball this past Friday, and they were all jamming still to Be Without You and Runaway Love (with Luda)…so on that note, Mary is still relevant to what is still missing in the game of Hip-Hop and R & B, and no one has taken her crown as yet…Not even Ashanti’s behind as well!!! So please stop comparing Mary to Beyonce, Rihanna and others…I love Faith Evans, unfortunately she would be Mary’s only other comparison, and unfortunately, Faith has not gotten the right Record Label and Producers behind her to stay in game, and Lauren Hill would be the other competition, and even Lauren has fallen off….Erkayah Badu is coming out with a new joint, but even she is a different genre as well..SO LEAVE MARY ALONE AND LET DO HER THANG! Coping the Joint on Dec 18th…”Love it or Hate it”…”All Hail Mary”, The undisputed Queen or Hip-Hop/R&B!

#56 you have lost your damn mind! Teedra Moses can sing her ass off. And she has soul! I love Mary she is the shit she has soul and class I love her. I’ve always been a big fan since What’s the 411!!! Faith Evans voice is beautiful as well. Faith Evans wrote most of Mary’s music and she’s sung background on the majority of Mary J’s My Life album. So please don’t sleep on Faith. She’s married with children. Mary still thinks she’s young and she can do that b/c she’s the QUEEN! I love her and I will be purchasing her new cd and I don’t even buy cd’s anymore. And that Beyonce/Ashanti comment. We all know Beyonce is more talented than Ashanti but that’s not much competition. Ashanti can’t sing. Beyonce is overrated and someone had the nerve to compare Beyonce to the old Mary J who used to have 5 songs playing in heavy rotation over the radio. To me there’s no comparison. Beyonce is a pop singer who does the same dance moves and flinging swinging the hair looking dizzy as fuck. Mary is a soulful singer who doesn’t have the best voice in the world but she hits the spot for me. I can feel her. With Beyonce you can only hear her and she has no soul in her voice. We don’t have real singers anymore. Bottomline!

People who say they don’t “get Mary” are probably really young and have never experienced some of the things that she’s been through in her life
- everybody knows about Ki-Ci - if ANYONE who has ever been in love with the wrong man, and ALL the drama that comes from that…I know I’ve been there
- and then there’s the substance abuse to cope with the pressures of her career, and to escape (or keep up with) Ki-Ci ( My Life/Share My World)
- you kinda start figuring out what you gotta do to be a better you FOR you, and you get rid of all the drama (No More Drama)
- you’re coming into your own, and figuriing out what it takes to be YOU (Mary)
- And once you figure it out, you see the evolution of yourself, a woman (The Break Through)
- But then Breaking through is not the end, because maintaining that level of self-actualization you just reached takes WORK, and thus there will be “GROWING PAINS”
I have rode with Mary through the journey of her life, and every time I didn’t think I was ready to take the next step, Mary would drop a joint, and it would be what I needed to hear. I was dealing with an infidelity issue in my marriage, and I heard “Just Fine” for the first time - that became my anthem. And I was feeling “Work That” - work what you got! And now Roses - the QUEEN does it AGAIN! I can’t wait until Tuesday.
Mary’s story tell is a coming of age story for a lot of African American women. Cuz baaby, if you’re in your late 30’s, and you’r still stuck back there somewhere around “No More Drama,” you need to get it together.

i’ve heard growing pains in its entirety, and no, its NOWHERE NEAR one of marys best works, not even close. its not a classic album. its just ok. shes not goin to do “breakthrough” numbers this time out. “just fine” FLOPPED HARD. coming off of the success of “be without you” single wise so far, she has not delievered. “work that” SHITS on “fine”. ever since her label merged into geffen, she just has not been the same. they pick all the wrong singles to support the album.
what makes “pains” wack is the production. its not tight at all. it was a horrible decision to have the dream, and tricky stewart produce the bulk of the songs.
this is supposed to be the “queen of hip-hop soul” where the hell are the hip-hop songs? theres only 2 hip-hop tracks on the entire album. WTF?! she needs to stick with what originally got her to the plateau shes on. THE HIP-HOP!!!

First off, all you people on here talking about you don’t like Mary and she can’t sing. Please answer one simple question for me. Why in da f^ck did you click on a Mary J ablum review post? If you felt that way, why waste your time dumba$$? And the ones that are saying Mary does not do grow folk music are the same ones who are on Bey/Rih post praising songs like Kitty Kat, Greenlight, Freakum Dress, Umbrella, Shut Up and Drive. Are you kidding me? So your comment/opinions doesn’t even hold water. Mary IS and will always be considered the Queen. Get over it B!TCHES!! And deal with it.
Tomorrow, Dec 18 I will be in the stores buying 3 copies. One for home, one for the car and one for the job. Yes, it’s that serious. LOL

I’m not feeling this Mary J hate. She been in the game for years. A lot of people have fallen off. I laugh at folks who run behind the latest artist who is just a fad at the moment. Then when they dont do so well yall forget about them and go after the next person. I love Mary J music no matter what. Quite franklin she is doing great she keeps making music and she is currently happy. Alot of people don’t understand Mary J is being used to heal people through music she has a gift that a lot of singers dont have. Its nice to have a wonderful voice and thats all you have. Go to a Mary J show you will be enteratained and touched in a way you never been before.. Its not about the hype with Mary J and she will tell you that. . Yall can go crazy over ya Rhiannas and Beyonce’s this is a flashy world but do know they will get played out also.
Mary J is the bomb she has a great voice she brings a wonderful show. She always have a hit song and she is doing more than Music. And she dosen’t have to be hurt by a man to make a big hit. She proved that already.

Preach sis!
Its ironic because I didn’t like Mary’s music UNTIL I heard Breakthrough and that made me go back and buy everything. She grew up. Some sisters had mothers who are stuck in misery and aunties stuck in misery so all they expect is misery. Mary’s music does show the transformation and she makes me proud. I love this new album as well.
