Will Smith proves once again he’s the million dollar man with a record breaking debut for his new film I Am Legend. The movie landed at #1, making $76.5 million dollars and is the seventh consecutive chart-topper for Mr. Smith. The film also ranks as the best December opening of all time despite all the crazy winter weather hitting the Mid West and North East over the weekend.
Did any of you happen to see the film? How did you like it? I say the best part of the film was this scene.
The Great Debaters has not even hit theaters yet and it is already receiving award nominations. The film has been nominated for Best Motion Picture Drama from the Golden Globe academy. Another Denzel film, American Gangster, was also nominated for a Golden Globe in the same category.

I saw the movie, the theatre was silent at the end because no one appeared to know how to take the ending. It was a little wierd driving home thinking that ish can happen with a drug for everything nowadays…anyway I do think its worth the support but I was not that impressed.

I plan to see the Great Debaters Christmas Day, so I hope that it also takes in GREAT numbers! Will needs a Oscar role next, we are finally getting our just due is Snow Bunny Land, its about time. IAL was a good ass movie! Will Smith is so sexy and ALL and i mean ALL my girls and the other women in the movie thearter SCREAMED when they saw Will Smith working out! They was like “Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh child!”

I saw the movie also and I enjoyed it. I didn’t know it was going to be that suspenseful. I had my head buried in my husband’s chest for most of the movie. It was a short movie though. When it ended I was like, is that it? Our showtime was at 7pm and we were out of there by 8:45.

Yes the movie was awesome, I enjoyed it even though I jump a few times and even left to go to the bathroom just to not see some of the freaky parts. Will did a good job in this movie CAN WE SAY OCAR like that is going to happen but it would be nice.

Alot of people have negative things to say about tyler perry. But he is giving GREAT black actors jobs. And you can bet nobody;s shooting each other up, females bending over, or all that other crap. I mean . When the last time you saw Sicily Tyson, Toni Morrison, Louis Gossett Jr, Angela Bassett, Lynn Whitfield etc… in a movie??

Yeah I saw I am legend. Will have some many ways of making you believe that stuff is true in them movies. It was good. Its was a Will type of movie. He is the type of person that makes me happy that I am from the same city!! Go see it if you didn’t. Will is the next Denzel!

My cousin teaches piano in her home and she is taking her students at her own expense, in fact some of us family members gave her money, though sh eonly has about 8 students,but she gives lessons free of charge. She is a retired high school music teacher.
By the way I don’t why people hate on Tyler Perry he had to start somewhere and its not how you start its how you finish and justy last week hear someone mentioned that another person who won an Oscar wa too good to be in a Tyler Perry movie well if they can play in the muffets christmas special on tv , then why not a Tyler Perry and Angela Basset, Cicily Tyson, Lynn Whitfield have all done excellent work just never gottn recognized for it and at least they are working and they are working as a team.

I ain’t hating Tyler. He’s giving people work that the industry would have sitting down and they are getting paid, and he gets the best for us to see perform in his movies and I applaud him for that.
The Great Debaters, its about time we had something thought provoking and motivational and portraying us in a better light, a must see for me and I can take my chidren and its something we can talk about, and help them to see how improtant an education is and what we had to go through.
I am going to the library to day and try to find a book on Mr.Tolson and read it with my children and discuss his legacy.

I wanted to see what that girl on the table in the basement was gonna look like when she was completely cured..i hate that will kiled himself in the end…..but Will did carry that movie all by himself..it made me thnk like damn what if it werereally noone around but you? he wuz bored outta his mind

Yeah that was my favorite part of the movie too! I swear Will’s on HGH! He was back on his Bad Boys 2 in this one. Overall the movie was ok… not bad but nothing to run to the theater for.

Damn is there anything Denzel CANT do!!!!! I mean the man is an AMAZING actor and I love the way he picks his roles. I heard that Denzel is creating Oscar buzz for his character in ‘American Gangsta’. Thats cool and all but come on Hollywood, Denzel has already received an Oscar for a similar role (Training Day). Isn’t it about time that he receives this honor for a more thought-provoking, positive role ….All of you out there U know what I’m talkin about….
And i hope Will Smith gets his Oscar this year cause he certainly deserves it……I thought he should have received one for his role in ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’…
I saw I Am Legend three times this weekend… I don’t know what was going through my mind. IMO it’s wasn’t worth seeing three times but I guess when you not paying for the movie ticket I guess it doesn’t matter. LOL

I just saw I AM LEGEND last night and i walked out in awe. The movie was FANTASTIC!! It was crazy and scary as shit. I didnt even know it was s scary movie. It was just an overall beautiful movie. I almost had like 9 anxiety attacks b/c the movie keeps you on your feet throughout the ENTIRE movie but it was still fab. Will Smith is a beautiful man and is a great actor. The movie reminds me a LITTLE of a whole bunch of end of the world movies that have been made but this one is wayyy different and has a lotta twists that I didnt expect. Whoever wrote this shit has a crazy ass imagination! Will smith is great and anyone who says this movie was bad has NO INTELLIGENCE. You do have to be a critical thinker to truly understand and enjoy the movie……NO DUMMIES ALLOWED! luv u will! =)
