LeToya Luckett – Killa Kyleon, Slim Thug & Bun B. – Swagger
Remember back in the music news round-up when I said that LeToya, former Destiny’s Child member, was soon to drop a new record entitled “Swagger?” Well, here it is. Honestly, I have to say that I was hoping that LeToya would have matured a little more, as far as her lyrics. I understand that she wants to rep Houston to the fullest, but it just seems like this song would have gone on her first album, and I was hoping to see a little more progression and a bit of evolution.
But who knows. This song may not be representative of all the material on the new album, tentatively titled Lady Love. It’s just that “Torn” was a really good single for her, and I hope she has more material like that. I’m in LeToya’s corner. I hope she makes us proud!

Toya can do better than this. I own serveral copies of her first album and I LOVED it. Went to a few Mary J shows to catch her as the opening act and she did a good job. So I ride hard for Toy. This song is weak. She needs to be talking about more than this mess. Yeah this is gonna bump hard in the club but that’s about it. I know she will pull through with a good album. Let’s hope this is just a buzz cut.
The beat is on-point-spinning. And all the appearances are hot to def. Only thing I would have liked is for the song to feature Letoya more than the rap artists; because at the end of the day, that’s who I was checkin’ for in this song. On another note, the more and more that I see Toya, the more and more she reminds me of the wondertful Aaliyah. Whether this resemblance is geniune or contrived by Letoya’s fashion squad, its pretty striking. All in all, tight song.

Like someone above mentioned, this is a nice song for the clubs, but I hope she doesn’t expect a #1 hit from this. It’s not a “Oooh, that’s my jam” kinda song, which is what she’ll need if she wants to sell more records this time around. It has a nice beat though.

Wowwwwwwwwww, LETOYA kilt that shit. Her voice has gotten so much better. I remember in the beginning her voice was not nearly as controlled and disciplined as it is now. I really like the song. I am glad she has a nice uptempo that we can rock to.

i thought it was all good except for that part…she’s just as bad as kelly rowland and solange..branch out from beyonce. she’s going on her 2nd album..that beyonce “feud” is old news. hopefully this is the only song that she does that

I realize she wasn’t dissing beyonce, but at the same time, it’s time for her to make a name for herself without even referencing beyonce…move on, ya know?
