It’s cool - i wont lie i don’t like michelle, but honestly never really gave her a chance either. so this is a good effort

Michelle’s voice is so pure - you can tell that she’s trying to “pull back” on this track, so it’s not strong vocally.

Michelle’s voice is made for gospel, where it will be encouraged to rise and soar - she won’t fair well as a solo R&B Artist. This was probably Daddy Knowles’ (bad) idea.

I seriously loathe the fact that they jump so easily from genre to genre…it’s insincere, it’s opportunistic…ugh! They always find markets they think they can dominate: Kelly’s first CD was “alternative” and Michelle’s “gospel” because they thought there was an opening for them. And, for Michelle, it was…but now with KeKe Sheard and the Mandisa, Michelle can neither do the Gospel nor Inspirational thing. So, she’s hopping back into R&B…wow? Is that because Beyonce is doing “dance”? And, Solange “soul”? Man, these people kill me. GO AWAY, MICHELLE YOU ARE WEAK AND WE KNOW IT!

I come on here to be supportive of black owned site. It is constructive criticism. Asking them to chill with the spam which is spyware is not being mean. C’mon if they want to be taken seriously then maybe should listen to the people. This is not your site so the only one who can speak on the constrictive criticism is Angel. The problem with her jumping across genres, IMO is that it shows a lack of sincerity and how can you be even remotely artistic if you aren’t sincere? The situation that leaves you in is either having A. either so distinctive or phenomenal a voice that people don’t mind that you’re indifferent or B. falling into the seen-before-heard category, in which it’s all basically retinal…you look good, who cares what you’re singing…
And, Michelle falls into neither category IMO…So, she’s basically the insincere, Machiavel, loping across genres and casting the blanket of “Destiny’s Child” over serious, struggling *stars*.

i love this song, it’s nice to hear michelle do something completely contemporary…and stargate has been around a long time..i’ve always like their production…

“Stop this car” by Michelle Williams is original, clean, and rythmic. The key players who produced this cut did an excellent job. Of course, Michelle’s performance was superb. Looking forward to the CD.

First off, as Brian mentioned, the media player is not working properly and the song is off beat and way too slow. That’s why Michelle’s voice sounds way off and sort of deep. You need to hear the real snippet to get a better feel for it.

Second, it doesn’t sound like a Stargate production at all. Other than that repetitive tapping in the background, it sounds way different then the “Irreplaceable” beat they’ve been overusing.

I really like Michelle’s voice. Its has a nice smooth yet raspy sound to it. I can’t judge this song from just a snippet, but so far I’m liking it. Sounds much better than some of the material Kelly has been releasing.

I’m hoping her first single… which was produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, will be hot!

Its funny how people are talking about this young woman’s sincerity in reference to her Spiritually . How would you know? Better Yet How Dare you? She has her own relationship with Christ and should be allowed to do so. I get tired of “Power Christians” thinking they have the right to speak on or take away someone’s right to Praise God. Life, relationships, events happens around us why can’t she sing about that? The truth of the matter is that Gospel Music is filled with the same snakes the same judgmental assholes as Secular music yet she has still remained who she is. Plus, I am sure if she wanted to be that way, she could point out a few of your flaws too.

I don’t know why people say Michelle cannot sing man, I remmebr the first time i rreally heard her was in the “survivor ” song and she has a soulful voice, Me lovey that.
