Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison today, stemming from his involvement in an underground dog fighting ring and initial failure to come forward.
During his sentencing the suspended football star apologized to the court and his family. However, Judge Henry Hudson told him, “You need to apologize to the millions of young people who looked up to you.”

When you make statements like “My husband is Black” it’s like saying “some of my best friends are black. Ok you take the stance of you do the crime you do the time but does that justify how people seem be trying destroy his entire life. Ok punish him and then let him move on. Look, I am inclined to agree with the judges sentence. Dogfighting is cruel, and since dogs are domesticated animals, we can not look at them the same as we do non-domesticated animals, simply because non-domesticated animals don’t kill or harm for no reason. Dog’s in a dog fight are going against their natural instincts (because they are domesticated) to harm one another. In order for that to be possible, they must endure a great deal of cruelty from the time that they are born. It’s sad, but Vick should have gotten the full 5 years.
He will be in great debt by the time he gets out of prison and at 30 years old, football may be out of the question.
BUT! THIS IS INTERESTING! In a related story to MV, there was a 5 year old boy that shot a bear and CNN reported the news as it were some glowing great accomplishment.

Ok, maybe that statement was worded in a way it shouldn’t have been. I do not consider myself a second class citizen and never will. From what I have seen, I wouldn’t want to be put through the criminal justice system. It’s flawed and racist.

So Vick had many a chance to get less time but his dumb ass and his actions even AFTER being caught up with the dog fighting…put him in this position. Now let him sit in a cell for a while and think about that bright future he just WASTED undoubtedly. what a dumb ass!

The point of this whole Michael Vick issue is not whether or not he was guilty or that he should be imprisoned. The white man’s legal system has already ascertained that. The crux is black people’s natural distrust for the white man (rightfully) and how he chooses to interpret and enforce his laws subjectively. Anyone can say that “it is against the law, so he should be thrown in jail”. The white man can pass a law tomorrow that says that it is illegal to wear red and certain negroes will not question it because it is “The Law”.
I notice that many black people have noticed that whites have an unnatural fascination with dogs. There is a spiritual justification for this. Caucasian people have always been infatuated with dogs because they trace their heritage to dogs, i.e. Romulus, Remus, the lupercalia, and the she-wolf. It’s highly unlikely Vick will be out in a year due to the fact that on a 23 month sentence he really only has to serve around 19 months due to the good conduct credit time off that he gets. He also has to be designated to an insitution, be deemed RDAP eligible, and then wait for a spot in an RDAP class. All that takes time. He may not even start a program for 2-3 months as the classes are usually booked up months in advance. So, by the time he hits an RDAP yard, he’ll be down to 16 months left, then the BOP will credit him for the month he’s already been in. The program itself takes 9 months to complete, that leaves 7 months, and he has to spend 6 months in custody at a halfway house as a program requirement. So maybe he’ll get all of a month off. BIG DEAL!
