Reports are coming in that musician Ike Turner died today at the age of 76.
“He did pass away this morning” at his home in San Marcos, in northern San Diego County, said Scott M. Hanover of Thrill Entertainment Group, which managed Turner’s musical career.
There was no immediate word on the cause of death, which was first reported by celebrity website TMZ.com.
Turner managed to rehabilitate his image somewhat in his later years, touring around the globe with his band the Kings of Rhythm and drawing critical acclaim for his work. He won a Grammy in 2007 in the traditional blues album category for Risin’ With the Blues.
But his image is forever identified as the drug-addicted, wife-abusing husband of Tina Turner. He was hauntingly portrayed by Laurence Fishburne in the movie What’s Love Got To Do With It, based on Tina Turner’s autobiography. USA-TODAY/PHOTO: WIREIMAGE

@Jlewis, It always worked out better when I sold the books to fellow students my damn self. I even listed some on half.com. They sold pretty fast and I didnt feel raped when it was over. The whole textbook thing is a racket. I took A&P 1 to learn that by A&P 2 there would be a new textbook. Thank God my prof. said we could still get by with the same book. I would have hated to be the only one with the old version. But I sure would have gotten over it.

This is like really the first semester where I was like wtf…cause usually I might walk away with $150 on a good day but not this semester. Plus I took my books off campus thinking I’d get a better deal. I should have been like give me the damn books back. I still have one more to sell after my final tomorrow. Hope I can get 30 to 40 off of it but I doubt it. I’ve learned my lesson. Just 2 more semesters of this shit and I’m out!!!

Ike was a controlling cocky jerk who lived for tina turners spot light and he brutally beat his wife and trapped her in a prison he thought he made tina but he dident she made her self and he would have never made it without her and he treated her that way so may god have mercy on his soul.
