Mary J. Blige has definitely been doing her thing the past couple of years. She’s set to release her new album, Growing Pains on the 18th of December. She’s got a nice, fashionable video for the first single, “Just Fine,” written by The Dream. Here’s some new material from Mary’s album, titled “Shake Down.” It’s a duet with Usher, who is supposedly coming out with a new album as well (no word on the status of that project). It’s not a bad duet, but it sounds almost identical to the duet that she did with Jamie Foxx on his album, Unpredictable. The production almost seems like it’s the exact same song.
Mary’s album leaked, but it’s a low quality web-rip, so I’m definitely waiting on the real thing to feast my ears. So, if you’re a fan, make sure you get your copy of Growing Pains when it drops in two weeks.
Angel Lola Luv seems to be the hottest chick of the video dancing game - at least XXL and Black Men Magazine seem to think so. Black Men Magazine decided to dedicate a whole issue with pictures of just Angel and she was named XXL’s eyecandy of the year.
You may remember CL’s Angel posted on that questionable butt of the model - I mean you just don’t see proportions like that too often. But she’s a pretty girl…
The Dream is finally set to release his debut album, Love (Me All Summer)/Hate (Me All Winter). The songwriter, who is responsible for Rihanna’s hit, “Umbrella” and “Bed,” the song that put J. Holiday on the map, describes this album as a musical that is very visual and appeals to all the senses. “All of my records are singles,” claims The Dream. And that’s not too far from the truth. Love/Hate actually is a fun album. Even though it gets sort of repetitive (with all the “ella’s” and “eh’s”) and the voice can get a tad obnoxious, the records are solid and Dream lays it on thick for fans.
Even with all the controversy that the media has tried to start about The Dream - there have been rumors swarming of him filing a divorce from his wife, R&B songstress Nivea, and they’ve even gone as far to leak photos of Dream and the leading lady for his latest video, the second single, “Falsetto” - the focus remains on his music, and his skill as a writer and producer. He’s not a tabloid artist, people don’t care about the shock value. But he’s definitely put out hits this year.
Looks like for 2008’s Grammy’s, Kanye West and the troubled Amy Winehouse will lead the pack with multiple nominations. Kanye’s Graduation album, after much publicity and marketing, beat out 50 Cent’s Curtis, and released three huge singles (”Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” and the anthem, “Stronger” and party favorite, “Good Life”). The critically acclaimed disc had the year’s biggest debut, selling nearly 1 million copies in its first week, an amazing feat during the industry’s current struggles.
Although Winehouse has been in the media recently for her erratic behavior and alleged substance abuse, Grammy hopefuls are thinking that Amy’s nominations this year will take the heat off of her personal life, and put focus back onto her music. Here’s what Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and Grammy-winning producer John Shanks had to say:
“Amy Winehouse is incredible. I think she should have got a little more positive recognition,” said singer-songwriter Ne-Yo. Grammy-winning producer John Shanks called Winehouse’s album Back to Black, which included the telling hit “Rehab,” “an important record.”
“I don’t think her troubles are really going to hurt her. I think the sound of that album made an impact,” Shanks added.
Other Grammy nominees include Beyonce, for top single of the year with her R&B acoustic jam, “Irreplaceable,” Fergie, who’s debut album The Dutchess rolled out a few #1 singles, as well as Rihanna, who broke as a crossover artist this year with her smash, “Umbrella.” I think the show should be pretty interesting this year, considering all the music that’s been pouring out. Let’s hope ‘08 is just as good a year.
On the court, he is one of the best in the game. Off the court, when he has a couple of drinks, he likes to expose his private parts which are allegedly covered in blisters.
He’s also considered a violent drunk. He likes to destroy property and he’s verbally and sometimes physically abusive to those in his inner circle.
This baller is so sleazy, we are getting dual reports that he transmits chlamydia and herpes. He is a walking health epidemic and doesn’t give a damn.
Recently, away from the public and behind closed doors, he’s booking escorts because of their promiscuity, this way, if they ever try to sue him for transmitting one of his STD’s, he has a built in defense: With her background, she may have infected me and she was probably infected by one of her numerous clients.
Despite his wealth and fame, a few escorts won’t see him because after he drinks from his silver flask, he becomes argumentative and violent.
We reported in a prior blind item that a celebrity likes to have sex in the dark because of his under-endowment but this baller is having sex in the dark so women won’t notice his blisters.
Hints: It’s “not” Allen Iverson and you don’t have to be a basketball fan to know who he is.
NOTE: All blind items are written by Myra Panache or her staff. No, we do not know what the answer is - after all it is called a ‘Blind Item’. These items are posted for entertainment purposes. If you do not like blind items, please refrain from commenting on this post - just simply ignore or skip it. If you have anymore questions about Blind Items on CL, please use the form on the contact page. Thank you.
The blog world is going crazy with rumors that 50 Cent and crew were caught doing drugs before a performance in Zagreb, Croatia. A recent YouTube video shows a Croatian journalist walking into the dressing room of the rapper while 50 and crew are gathered around a table in a “suspicious” manner. Watch the video above to draw your own conclusion.
According to Miss Info:
“From what I know 50 does not do any drugs. He’s doesn’t even drink. When I asked my insiders at G-unit, they laughed it off and said they were counting money, that’s why they were hunched over like that. And the reporter came in without permission.” [SOURCE]
