I’ve heard the CD and it’s doesn’t hold up to all the hype it’s getting to me. She has a few nice songs but not many, all her previous CD’s were better. Then again, what do I know, because Alicia Keys got a lot of hype for her release too and she only had 3 good songs on her CD to me. No one makes good music anymore!

You listed lots of stars but there’s the possibility that they weren’t invited…Mary is very competitive…maybe she didn’t want them there. As for “Umbrella” Rihanna never bragged and Mary was NEVER upset because Rihanna got the song…it wasn’t until she asked the 3457349759347584754835th time about missing the “hit” that she replied, basically: I’m Mary and my career doesn’t depend on some producer delivering a “hit”.

On Aretha’s new cd, ‘jewels in the crown,’ Mary is featured on two duets with her…on her previous cd, mary wrote and produced two songs for re re…so there is hardly any beef there…the deal with fantasia being ‘my child’ has to do with fantasia saying the #1 artist she wanted to meet after winning AI was Aretha…upon meeting Aretha it is said Fannie burst into tears and Aretha comforted her and told her how much she liked what she was doing in her music
