Inside the issue, she address the issues of all the guys she’s been linked with including Josh Hartnett and Jay-Z. She also talks about her bad girl image.
On Josh Hartnett:
“This is what really happened,” the 19-year-old singer tells Allure magazine. “He and my management, they have each other’s contact information. I went to (the New York club) Pink Elephant, and he came by. All of a sudden, the next day, I’m seeing that we were kissing and hugging up each other.”
“You can’t even go out with a friend who’s a celebrity and have a good time without people making (bleep) up,” “Well, at least he’s good-looking, right?”
On Beyonce:
“She’s Beyonce, and I’m (his) new protegee. When we see each other we say hi. We’re not enemies, but we’re not `friends’ friends.”
On her look:
“The label didn’t want me to do this look,” she says. “But cutting my hair, it made me stand out as an artist. I don’t care who likes it this is me.”

I find it telling that Rihanna doesn’t use a title to describe Beyonce’s relationship with Jay-z, but finds it necessary to qualify herself as the “protegee.” What she DOESN’T say says a lot…i.e. “effin for tracks…” The fact that she feels she has to explain her relationship with both of them says a lot. Beyonce wouldn’t give Rihanna the time of day in an interview – and I’m sure she’s been asked.
In all likelihood, Jay hit that, but the reality of it is that Beyonce is the “wifey,” and Rihanna comes across as the biyatch scorned.
