But you ain’t done talking about Beyonce if you didn’t talk about how she looked. Knowles had to be one of the most talked about celebrities this year when it came to her style. Everyone wanted to know what she wore, how much it was, and where they could get it (or a copy at least).

Beyonce had a lot of different looks and I think the ones that looked the best were when she wore jeans with designer jackets. I also love all of her shoes.
I love me some Bee, however, I get tired of seeing her in the prom dresses and the Vegas showgirl gowns.

I totally disagree with this. I would give this honor to Rhianna. She stay looking fly and her style is way better than Beyonce. Rhianna is usally so well put together…something that really makes you pay attention. Beyonce dresses nice but there are so many others that shut it down more than her i.e. Halle, J-lo and Rhianna.
I think people are going overboard. with the Beyonce kudos. It’s at a point where her name is dropped just because.
The dress she wore at the BET awards was OFF DA CHAIN! Hands down the best red carpet look I have ever seen. Classic!

For the record, Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill are/were big superstars loved by all races. A few years ago, wasn’t Ashanti all over the place? I think so. There have been other female black supserstar since Diana and before Beyonce.

Anyway anyone who says Beyonce didn’t deserve this is crazy. In ’07 everyone watched what she wore to the award shows and wanted to copy it. Beyonce has a beauty body that she styles gracefully every time. In ’08 I’m sure Beyonce will do nothing but improve. Someone said that her shoe game is ridiculous. Honestly, I agree! Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys were loved but in no way were they in the spotlight as much as Beyonce is. Give her props damnit! She’s running the game …. I love Alicia & Lauryn but they never had as much clout at her. Beyonce is a phenomenal singer/performer, style icon and entrepreneur. She’s used her star power in so many ways that Lauryn and Alicia did not bother to!!!!!

I agree…..beyonce switched it up alot this year, but overall, i liked Rhi’s style better, and i loved nia long’s style as well…who decided who was the best? Just curious? Some black people act like every black person should treat beyonce like she’s the second coming of christ, and bottom line, while people appreciates what she brings to the table, she’s just not everyone’s favorite in terms of style or an entertainer…..she tries very hard though, but some of them wigs need to have a funeral held for them and then promptly burned…

I agree with #27 and everyone else who said Rihanna was better dressed this year than Beyonce. I think Rihanna switched it up more than Beyonce did. Rihanna had her casual moments, to her rockstar moments, all they way up to the glamorous look.
I can’t hate on Bee, but the only thing she did was wear expensive clothes and then switched up to jeans, a tee, and some heels. Rihanna touched all avenues of style IMO without going over the top like your girl Beyonce.
