THE ROUND UP: AKON TO FACE CHARGES / DON IMUS IS BACK / SNOOP COMING TO T.V.

Infamous video of the incident
Akon has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor criminal charges for throwing a teenage boy off stage during a performance in Fishkill, New York earlier this year. The 14 year-old that Akon tossed landed on a fan named Abby Rosa, who suffered a concussion as a result.
“It was never Akon’s intention to violate the law,” Akon’s manager Benjamin Brafman said in a written statement. “This unfortunate incident was a spontaneous reaction during a live concert that Akon deeply regrets.”
I thought the whole incident was staged, I guess I was wrong!
DON IMUS BACK ON RADIO

Is he blowing hot air?
Just 8 months after called the Rutgers Women’s Basketball Team “nappy headed hos”, Shock Jock Don Imus is back on the airwaves.
As he did several times in the days after the episode, Imus condemned his controversial remark last spring and said he had learned his lesson. He even included two black commentators, Comedians Tony Powell and Karith Foster for the show; both will discuss race relations. Imus spoke on her second chance:
“I will never say anything in my lifetime that will make any of these young women at Rutgers regret or feel foolish that they accepted my apology and forgave me. And no one else will say anything on my program that will make anyone think I did not deserve a second chance.” [READ MORE]
SNOOP DOGG & FAMILY GET REAL
As we mentioned earlier this year, Snoop Dogg and his family will have their own reality show on E! Make sure you check out the first episode on Dec. 9 @ 10:30/9:30c. Until then visit the official website. Should be entertaining.

Akon- I smell a “Sorry, Blame It On Me” Pt 2 coming soon
Imus-They never wanted to take him off the air, execs just buckeled under the pressure of backlash and ads being pulled.
Snoop-He’s a funny dude. He had me cracking up on the Foxxhole Radio show with Jamie Foxx.

Celebs that get in trouble with the law should not be glarmorized. Snoop should not be on TV.. and Akon should be in jail for doing something so stupid with his little azz.. he know he couldn’t throw a grown azz man.. it had to be someone his size.. a teen…. Both Akon and Snoop are pathetic roll models for the younger generation. The grown and zexy like me they’re fools.. but the younger kids really don’t know any better….Sad

Why am I not surprised that Imus back- he never really left. They just let the dust settle. Racism will always be around until God straighten all this mess out. Akon was just dumb and took a real risk throwing that child. Someone could have gotten killed because of his foolishness- totally uncalled for. Snoop- I have no words for this lofty brother- NEXT!!!!

even though i agree with you that what AKON did was wrong. I sincerely think “I just have ah few things to say to AKORN, YO i just heard you say that it took you time to get use to this country…..
Well i dont know what tribe your from where ever you were raised ” is uncalled for. It smells racism, bigotry and a little zest of self-hate. Yes sister, the same racism u cry about everyday. If i was white and I said something like ” i don’t what ghetto u from but…”, u will be crying for racism. So sister do not have double standard.
second, even if it took him long time to get used to this country. I think he got used to it way faster than you did. He came, he saw and he conquered, while you who was raised here did not do squat.
Stop hating!!
The man is wrong but insulting his people and his origin is uncalled for. We cry about racism all day but we need to stop racism in our everyday life too!!

There are too many incidents surrounding Akon that he “didn’t mean to happen”. I know that with the underage girl in the club, he probably didn’t know she was that young, but with THROWING A PERSON, he meant to do that. There was nothing but intent in that action. He probably didn’t mean to hurt the female victim, but he knows that the type of action he committed could lead to an injury. He didn’t throw the male into an empty space, he threw him into a crowd of people…
AKON PLEASE, GO PLAY IN TRAFFIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET IT TOGETHER

Oh yea, and whats the point of having security if you’re gonna take everything into your own hands? Security should be another protection between you (AKON) and legal liability b/c they “should be” professional and just remove the person from the situation rather than getting on their level.
Ugh!

I couldn’t have said it better ^^^^
But at the same time, I don’t think his show should have been cancelled in the first place. I’m not condoning what he said about the women of Rutgers, but there have been worse situations thin this which is probably the reason why he is back on the air so soon. Black people say worse things about each other, but I guess its better to come from our own race right?
I also agree that the black women who are working for him are some sellouts, black folk will do anything for money. Such a sad shame. ****sighs in disbelief****

Lmaoooo @ Akon pleading not guilty! I seen this sh*t coming a mile away. smdh
Don Imus, good for him. I mean he made a terrible joke, which I heard isn’t rare for him, the world found out, he apologized for it to the young womens face for it. The end. I felt like the only people he owed an apoligy to were those girls, because he did take away their moment, now everyone remembers them as the girls Don Imus called “nappy headed hoes”, instead of basketball champs. Thats what annoyed me. I didn’t even know who Don Imus was before this happen, I don’t think a lot of black people did. I feel like this helped him out because now he is even more popular then what he was. How can you be mad at someone you didn’t even know existed in the first place? That would be like him being mad at me for saying something out of line. I wish a motherf*cka would. lmao! Thats just my opinion though.
And I also vote YES on Mr. Doggs reality show. This is going to be some funny ish right here. Runs House is already funny, but snoop is going to take that to whole other level because he really don’t give a damn.

#22 INTRIGUE
how can you say that imus should not have lost his job?
black people really need to understand what is happening here
since alot of us like to identify with whiteness, priveledge, and money lets understand one thing
a black man will never get on national radio and call the duke university womens basketball team a bunch of cracker whores
and if he does, he will lose his job
if any person, Jewish or not, got on the radio and called Jewish women kite sluts, he would lose his job
but to have the audacity for a black woman to go work for imus when he comes back on air is disgraceful
a pure embarasment
a clear sign of disloyalty
a clear sign of self exploitation- especially for a black woman, who was never working for imus before the contraversy- to get on board afterwards
and all of this is exactly why nobody takes us seriously
we sell each other out too quick
this is sadly becoming our legacy
a race full of verbal attacking, self hating, self sabatoging, racism crying, prideful, brothers and sisters
and enough with black people defending imus
traitor ass black men couldnt wait to join in on the action.
dl hugley sat his ass up on Jay Leno and vouched for what imus said. damon wayons also supported his statements. imus aint never in his life ran to defend a black man’s job but we got celebrities trying to rally in his support.
they’re defending a man who would call their mamas nappy headed hoes
and why did they do it?
for contravoversy so that they can generate some kind of financial revenue to get their shit back on board because nobody is thinking about dl or damon
so what do they do?
chime in on some bullshit
tom coon ass comedianes
hey it worked for imus
he probably made more money off of calling black women out than he ever made in his life
thats why he went and got TWO new black co hosts for his comeback
lesson learned:
there is big money in disgracing black people- particularly black women
fyi- imus was named shock jock of the year in this months King Magazine
and guess what?
a black woman wrote the story
and the traitors get richer

#34 what he did was wrong of course but theres a thing called freedom of speech and free market. you cant get mad at imus any more than you can get mad at the hundreds of rappers who call women ho’s in every other record. if you want him to lose his job you must want every rapper to too.

i mean think about it, what he said was OF COURSE wrong, but how is he disgracing women or black women anymore than soulja boy talking about super-manning a ho which means to cum on her back so that the sheets stick to her back making it look like superman (sorry to be graphic but thats what it means)? or milions of videos where black women do nothing more than drop to the floor and jiggle their fat asses? just as bad. personally i find it hypocritical when people get mad at imus for what he said but have no problem with pretty much the same thing or worse things said by rappers. im not for censoring rappers, therefore i cant really be for censoring imus either…

^^ Thats what that song means?!!! UGHHHHHHHH!!!! LMAOOOO!! I never could understand what he was saying, the only part I could ever make out was the chorus. This whole time I thought he was talking about slapping a woman if she don’t act right. Lmaoooo!! Thanks for that info Ms Dynomite, i’m going to pop my niece in the mouth the next time I hear her trying to sing that song. People just be singing that sh*t like it’s the thing to do. U ARE IGNORANT AND STUPID. THE MAN IS WRONG BUT SAYING STUPID REMARKS IS NOT NECESSARY. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND DON IMUS????
BLACK PEOPLE HAVE THAT IGNORANT AND STUPID DOUBLE STANDARD WHERE THEY THINK IT’S OK FOR THEM TO CALL ASIANS SMALL PENISES AND INSULT OTHER RACES WHILE IT’S A NO NO FOR SOMEONE TO INSULT THEM. WE CAN DO BETTER!!

the kind you described, which is why i dont listen to rap because they cant rhyme no way
we should be even more upset over black rappers disgracing black women than white men but we like to use the fact that black men do it to as an excuse to go light on white offenders
black people are in the business of destroying themselves and their women
blackness is overrated

I think that black people show their simplicity by wondering how Don Imus came back onto the air so soon. I think that those same black people should be thankful to their masters that they left him off the air as long as they did because everything that the white man does is to perpetuate his control over the masses of people’s perception in this distorted reality anyway. Big deal, he’s back. Any black person with a brain could see that this was going to happen after Imus was shrewd enough to shift the blame to black men and many black women, i.e. Oprah, were simple and bitter enough to believe and run with it. The mockery is not just that a black woman is working for him. Once again, any black person that knows the nature of the white man knew that he would hire a black person, preferably a black woman because a woman is not a threat to the sensibilities of America, i.e. Oprah and Condoleeza Rice. I’m surprised that he has hired a man, so this tells me that the man must not be shrewd in any way whatsoever. Their hiring equips Imus with more leverage because he can now bounce and reflect his ideologies off of those two simple-ass negroes under his employment and, if necessary, use them as interference or cannon fodder. Howard Stern has been doing it for years with Robin Quivers. Satan presides over misdirection and confusion.
I mean please; black people are, for the most part, pathetic and worship money anyway. Most of the black people that I’ve seen that tried to act like they cared about their people usually had a plan that revolved around economics anyway which is only continued servitude because the white man prints that monopoly money anyway. The actual money is the gold and precious medals and jewelry that he stole from our ancestors and is still used as the basis of his capitalism. The real insult is that he has hired two comedians to comment on race relations. In other words he’s saying that black people are a joke and that there is nothing that they can say or think that should be taken seriously whatsoever in juxtaposition to his jargon about politics and current events. It’ll be good entertainment for his listening audience; in the midst of the white man’s “real talk”, to have a negro say, “Who da hell is Mitt Romney!!”, as the white folk erupt in laughter at the cute ignorance. I wonder if either one of them, in the vein of comedy, will be bold enough to even joke about their hiring being based on their skin color and the role they’ve been chosen to play. If Imus chose to hire them, it is because he knows through thorough examination that those two black people are pure coons and cannot think clearly or seriously, even if forced to.

#34 what if that job was a means for the black woman to feed her family? What then? Come on people this is real simple. Not condoning what the idiot said but i don’t think she should not take a job that she is ,i’m sure ,well qualified for because some dumb ass made a racist comment that does not describe our whole race. That does not mean she is neglecting her culture or her people because she took a job with a white man who is clearly a bit racist. If that is the case then none of us should work in Corporate America because it is very clear it’s alot of racism going on there. Maybe she is the person GOD chose to show Imus that not all black women are indeed nappy headed hoes. Let’s get real here
