Rihanna, Timbaland, and Ziggy Marley join H&M for Fashion Against Aids, which spreads awareness of the disease through a collection by some of the featured stars in the campaign.

The collection “Fashion Against AIDS” will be available in H&M’s Divided departments beginning February 2008 with some of the t-shirts you see on them above. The artists participate free of charge and 25 per cent of the proceeds from the collection will go to HIV/AIDS-prevention projects around the world.

Check out some of the designs over at nitrolicious.

THATS A GOOD LOOK…GOOD TO SEE THEM DOING THINGS TO HELP OUR BLACK COMMUNITY…

  2. LAY LAY

    Go ahead Rhianna!!!!

  3. Nothing But Love

Thats good, those t shirts look kinda dope i might have to cop one when they come out.

  4. JSCENE

Good look Rhi! It’s always good to see celebs use their fame and notoriety for worthy causes.

  5. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful cause.

I want all three shirts that they have on.

  6. People always tend to post their opinions about the hottest celebrities/stars/singers, etc, but where are they now???

THIS is one of the MAIN epidemics affecting our community…

    Wrap it Up

  7. JSCENE

    @8

I agree, and also, look at how few posts/comments this post is getting, opposed to the more superficial ones of “who’s the best dressed” and “style star”…..it’s a crying shame how sometimes blacks as a people can show where we feel our value is “in clothing and material things.” Over on those posts “big upping” them celebrities for wearing clothes or what not, but aint got shit to say here……

  8. #9

I totally agree. I keep checkin back and shaking my head. But when you still have ppl “going broke” for Christmas…………This thread right here means absolutely nothing to them.

  9. JSCENE

    @10

I know, me too, i keep checkin back, and still nothing…..but i’m done. But you’d think that we’d be all over this post since the mainstream media keep reporting black people, especially women, at the top of the list with AIDS…..so sad, sometimes i think our priorities are all in the wrong places…so busy worshipping folks for wearing shit they will never afford, but can’t stop by here for a second just to say, good cause, or good going to these celebs who are actually doing something noteworthy or worthy of praise……..and on this note, i’m out.

I am so on the fence about companies that create merchandise for HIV/AIDS (other diseases). One hand I like that I can buy a t-shirt (other merchandise) and support a cause. On the other hand if only a small percentage of the purchase cost goes to the charity or cause I feel like I should just take my money and make a donation in the amount of the merchandise.

  11. ROCAGIRL

GO RIHANNA!! do the damn thang. i’m proud of em all. Timberland and ZIGGY…GOOD STUFF!

  12. DEE

GET IT ZIGGY, MY JAMAICAN BROTHER.

  13. LaLaLaLa

Rihanna looks GREAT in this photo…Do it ma!

  14. People don’t give a damn! They just don’t. I just hate this immature mentality people walk around with thinking they are “invincible” to this stuff…this crap is REAL and it’s DEADLY….and it’s URGENT that we take better care of ourselves!

    It just is!

I’m not down for nobody coming thru infecting me with diddly squat! That just ain’t happening. I take very good care of myself and expect for others do to the same. I won’t be caught broke down on someone elses’ negligence

  15. FINE N MELLOW

I was thinking the same thing on how few posts on this topic which is so important, but yet like over 100 posts on who dresses the best. That’s ridiculous, it just shows the mind frame of some peeps. Im glad these artists are doing this. That’s a good Look.

  16. godoschild504

    Great Cause!!!!

  17. blackisbeautiful

    You know why you guys?

Because society is more and more obessesed with entertainemt than they are with real issues..SMH..it’s not just black people but all races are way too much obessesed with celebs..anyways I think it’s a great cause and picking a nice T-shirt to donate to the HIV/AIDS prevention project is an even better cause for myself..HIV/AIDs is serious alot young people aren’t taking vare of themselves..got men and women out here whoring around and using unsterilzed needles. It’s crazy because the medicine is so expensive..and they say that they don’t have a cure..SMH..no rich folks have a cure..such as Magic Johnson..lol

  18. Nothing But Love

    @blk dds and jcsene

Yeah i bet if beyonce had something to do with this thread you would see everyone posting comments like there’s no tomorrow, its a crying shame.

  19. DejaVuModel

    Amen #21 …
Some ppl act like shes GOD

I forgot the Doctors name but he is the same Docotor that Left Eye went to go see for Healing / Cleansing in Honduras before she passed. He said that he has the cure for AIDS and that the Government was trying to hush him and make him go away years ago,Taking him to court to prove he’s a liar. He won that Case, he proved that he has a cure for AIDS. In fact he was on the radio saying that he has the cure for AIDS and alot of other diseases as well. Im sure the Government wanted him to go away mostly because this Cure is affordable for poor folks. I read somewhere that the reason why AIDS is so crazy has a lot to do with the Lack of Education and awareness. I Have to Agree. I know especially women need to be aware of who they choose to lay down with. Life is not a Game. Its Real.

  21. itzzzkimmm

omg I love the campaign. I will definitely support them. An H&M just opened in one of my favorite malls so I am definitely gonna get me one of those t-shirts!

  22. Dame

I am always happy to see celebs supporting a good cause.

  23. Tyra

H & M is the shit!!!! Every girl should shop there!!!!

  24. The Truth

    * @ NUMBER 1.i always come ON here and everyones always saying how the black community doing this and that.Fair enough,im happy. But they are also white people in the campaign, regardless of the colour anyway. It is more about who you are from the inside then What you are on the outside, aids isnt only amongst black people, dont imply your ignorant.change your ways.
no offence, but you came across abit idoitic…

    I agree number 5 !!!

  25. Lette

I agree #9 and #10 how something as serious and vital as AIDs is getting ignored but people are more focused on Beyonce’s outfits and Remy Ma’s legal issues.

I absoulutley love Timbaland and that picture. I like how’s he giving back. Along with Rhi whom I’m suprised to see giving back. Mad props to Ziggy as well

  26. My TrUTH

I personally think this fashion campaign is an amazing way to bring attention to communities, however i feel like they need to have better role models people who actually stand for something. I mean we see Rihanna with no clothes on 100% of the time. Same when they do other ads trying to promote aids & hiv, they always use the celebrities that are hot but are not good role models. People really get on my nerves sometimes because everyone thinks well if a celebrity is doing it then why not go along with it, when you really do not need anyone else to help you think. Thats why you have a mind of your own, do something with it… its there for a reason.

  27. bklyn-bella

call me stupid..but I don’t think rihanna should be giving sexual looks in an AIDS awareness campaign

  28. Missez

wowzers i luv fashion for a great cause this is most def shirts i must get!!

  29. Missez

wow again i started reading comments and i guess haters find anyway to bring someone down it really is unfair to the artist i wouldnt care if kim k wanted to do the awareness against aids campaign at least she doing somethings productive with her life instead of hating on other at blog sites ….. when will people just get along

  30. emma v;s great-granddaugher

    I agree # 25.

    Great cause !

  31. Movin_On_Up

Wow.. this is great. I’m glad these celebs took the time to do something like this…. wonderful!

  32. GEM

People don’t respond to serious issues on this board because it’s just not the forum…honestly… There’s nothing direspectful in this, but it’s true: serious topics on CL always seem pseudo-intellectual and contrived. Maybe it’s more the bloggers than the editors…I don’t know…it’s quite difficult to imagine that one of the “stans” could be blogging about Obama after hissing at you about dying and Beyonce’s ominpotence. It’s just weird… It’s why I stay away from serious topics…but I’m in yahoo constantly talking with friends about more serious issues… It’s just misplaced, transferring the same grave talk here…

  33. NotImpressed

NOW, I’d like to see Rihanna do something for her community that she constantly disowns. Wearing a t-shirt isn’t directly helping anyone. She’s helping to promote herself and in turn, the cause. Where’s her charitable contributions to Aids, Schools and Inner City Kids or her help at Thanksgiving and Christmas? She’s on tour and not even doing anything in the countries she’s visiting. She’s instead making demands on how the people there are in her way and wanting police escorts. And she wonders why they’re not giving it to her and she’s not selling.

On the episode of Punk’d she could’ve helped the street person and instead cursed them and told them to get a job. She felt stupid when she realized she was on t.v. being filmed because it showed her true colors. She’s a one trick pony that can’t sing or dance.

    Not impressed.

  34. Missez

    @ not impressed
wow is all i have to say rihanna is contrbuting to the aids foundation by just wearing the shirt do you think people in society would actually give a crap if some plain jane had it on they would just look pass the billboard and when rihanna was punk’d i hate to make you feel stupid but rihanna obviously didnt think she acted out of order like anyone else would act thats why on punk’d the artist have to sign a release form and if she was ashmed or felt stupid my guess is you would have never so it duh and p.s. while so many people hate on rihanna and talk about her to the world she doing a damn good job at it good or bad she has the entire media hyped up about her i really dont want you to take this as an arguement but just a way to open and realise she is human too and you dont have to hear about every effort a celeb makes(alot do it under the radar) in charity for them to be a saint some people donate just so they can promote themselves and clear their gulity conscience

  35. bambino

rihanna looks stunning in that pic she could afll back on modelling if the music thing don’t work out. timbo’s tee is dope as well.
props 2 them all for supporting a worthy cause.

  36. Nothing But Love
