America’s Next Top Model is over this season and could the winner be more obvious this go around? I didn’t even watch and I knew who the winner was (thanks to the internet).
Saliesha Stowers from L.A came out on top but, her win seems to be causing a bit of controversy already. It was discovered early on that she worked with Tyra at her T-Zone camp and became more obvious she won when she appeared on the Tyra Banks show this season working the runway. The winner also has appeared in a Wendy’s ad and on “Ugly Betty”, which IMO has nothing to do with modeling…but whatever.
Anyone who can rock a Tootie hairstyle for that long deserves a win. Congrats to her!
Speaking of finales, who watched the last episode of Keyshia Cole’s “The Way It Is”? Boy, they should never end that show. We need another few months footage of Frankie and Neffe. Matter of fact – Tyler Perry needs to call them for the next Madea movie.
I don’t think the show is going anywhere when a reported 2.9 million viewers and 2.0 million households watched the finale on Tuesday. Thanks to Keyshia and her hood family drama, it is now the #1 series telecast in BET history.
Now what is this I hear about a Blaque reality TV show? You all remember Blaque? The group discovered by the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez around 99/2000?
Well they are back together now, and were recently spotted over the weekend at Keri Hilson’s bday party (pictured above). Their upcoming show, reportedly titled Blaque by Pop Demand, will follow the trio as they make their comeback under their new mentor Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins. No word on what network it will be on…

I already knew who was going to win also. I honestly stopped watching the show after EVA won. I really wish a plus size model could win and break a barrier but thats me thinking its a perfect world again. Top Model has opened doors for lots of young women who really needed some exposure,but I start to think after a while is it really an oppty for women or just some drama filled show thats has record breaking ratings each season. I see yaya is still doing her thing but with her beauty and education it was disturbing to see her on a lotion commercial the other day.

Frankie & Neffe are wounded to their souls.
That whole bus and restuarant scene was disgraceful, but again, Frankie cannot do any better until she learns better. She has spent more than half of her life on crack, and while on crack, she did some terrible things to herself and her children — that pain is deep, and she needs some serious help.
If you saw the scene where she was laid up on Keyshia’s adopted mother crying like a baby you can see it. It seems that the best thing she could have done, is exactly what she did— giving her children up for someone to raise them better. Keyshia’s sister Elite and brother [with his cute smile] seem to be more mature than Frankie.
The one she kept, Neffe is in as much pain as she is, if not more.
I know people think they are so ghetto and ignorant to be putting to all out there – but it is what it is, and there are a lot more people who can relate, than does that don’t. That’s a sad thing to say, given the circumstances, but it is what it is.

Wht has happened to the Game? It was so on point with the realistic story lines and good drama. Now they seem as scattered as Girlfriends. It’s not a good look.

I know my mom hates Keyshia’s show. It is too personal for her being my aunt is in Frankie’s place and my mother and other aunt have been responsible for the three children (two were crack babies) born into this mess. I feel for Frankie and Neff. True, sometimes I am ashamed by the things they say and do on the show. But this is reality, truth. It’s happening to more and more of our Black families every day. Hopefully Frankie doesn’t relapse and Neff discovers birth control.

I feel out of the loop because I work swing shift and I have never seen an episode of The Game. Hopefully it comes out on DVD with HD. I’ve been missing out on a lot. I don’t care for Tyra and ANTM. She went from a positive to a negative in the last four cycles of the show. Exploitation, exploitation is her game. Keep the rhythm or Tyra, she will lose her fame.
love Keyshia Cole show b/c to me it’s the first real (hood) reality show that i have ever watched. I don’t think she should stop dealing with her mother and sister. All of they azz have been through alot and it’s just time for Frankie and Neffe to just heal. I went in at the age of 6 and all that matter to me was my momma coming to get me 1 day and u know what that day came and as a child that was 1 of the most happiest days of my life thus far. I only watched that show like twice and it was too much for me. It was like watching a bad accident — too much pain, anger, loudness and disarray. Watching her family actually weakened my spirit — real talk. They’re so sad. And what’s sadder is that they’re a true representation of a good majority of our black families with no men in them (other than to reproduce). SMH.

I love the Keyshia Cole show also. I admire how she just puts it all out there w/o shame or embarrassment. I couldn’t do it…but more power to the ones who can cause there are so many of us that can relate to some if not everything she’s been thru.
I love the Game! I think this episode was good…just not as drama filled as the previous shows this season, but I’m sure it’ll pick up.

The only reason I think some people are complaining about Saleisha winning is because they wanted HEATHER to win. Everybody was absolutely in love with Heather and they also did not like Saleisha because they felt like she picked on Heather. That is the only real reason because I been to those ANTM forums and all of them were absolutely in love with that girl and thought she was God’s gift to modeling. Personally I still think she will get a contract no matter what because she is pretty but I mean get over it gosh ANTM is not all that. The more seasons they have the weaker it gets so oh well.

#5 – I agree with you to the umpteenth degree cause I’ve witnessed way too many females my engage in unprotected sex just because they know abortion is available. On the other hand, there are PLENTY of reasons (i.e., rape, incest, medical) why people choose to have abortions, so making a law would not really solve any problems….people would just find clever ways to do it illegally.
