MTV got the exclusive on J. Lo’s new video for her second single from her Brave album, “Hold It, Don’t Drop It.” This is the follow-up to “Do It Well.” Although Brave hasn’t been doing good numbers, and reportedly, her album’s photoshoot cost more than the album has pulled in with sales so far, she managed to get a second video out.
In any event, J. Lo looks good in the video.

This song is highly irratating and the video is almost painful to watch, especially compared to how she used to be in her heyday. She should settle down and have kids or go back the big screen because she is a much better actress than singer. She looked like she was on the verge of hurting herself in the video. Leave the “Big Band” sound to the Beyonce’s and Alicia Keys’ and Mary J Blige’s of the industry. J Lo your voice is just too soft for a song of this magnitude, please no more! Luv ya though
Well, this video is better than the one she had for “Do It Well” and she does look pretty as usual. However I’m not feeling the song and I doubt it’ll do much to increase her sales. I agree that she doesn’t have the voice to sustain the track, she’s never had the strongest voice.
J.LO’s last english album (“Rebirth”) was a commercial failure as well and this album. I just don’t think J.LO will last much longer in the game. There doesn’t seem to be much interest about her anymore. She may can stick with acting or atleast stick with singing in the spanish genre (she’s having more success with that lately).

I have to co-sign with #7. Despite how some might feel about Jennifer, she has that drive and work ethic game on lock! The woman got mad style and sex appeal, and it seems so effortless, something that not many woman in that business have. I feel like she set the blue print for that ‘multi-media darling’ type of thing. The woman is a mogal, got to give it up. Most important of all, I am happy to see that she seems to be so content in her personnal life. She finally has that balance in life: Family, Health and success. Imitation has always been the greatest form of flattery. And everyone in the entertainment industry has pretty much “copied” or imitated a style of someone else.
Most artists admit that they are “influenced’ or admire some other artists. I rarely have heard any artist proclaim…. I invented that — only the fand say that craziness.
It’s no different than people in everyday life, you see something you like, you go after that.
No matter how much people try and deny it – from a music perspective JLo was at her best when she was working with Diddy, and that was mostly because, for whatever reason, at that time whatever he touched was gold in music and entertainment. It probably had more to do with affiliation than anything else – she benefited and he benefited. Her music is no better, nor worse than most females artists out right now.

I’m sorry but you couldn’t be anymore wrong. While Beyonce is not a dancer, to say her dancing is “fully choreographed” is crazy. If anything it’s the other way around Beyonce’s dancing is alot more natural,rhythmic and free. While J.Lo, Janet, Ciaria and the rest are totally choreographed,technical, and mechanical. Any one that’s watched a Beyonce concert can see that she continually breaks away from the choreograhy and just does what comes naturally. Whether that’s jumping up and down, kneeling down on the floor or just standing still and making ugly faces. This is what makes her such a great performer. The other artist I mentioned stick solely to their overly choreograhed moves and when there not dancing don’t seem to have the same energy/command of the stage. Hell j.Lo just looks plain confused when she’s not busting a move(still love ya though lol). And to say Beyonce copies J.Lo artistically is silly as well. There style of dance is completely different( J.Lo is a dancer Beyonce is not) and as for there singing(Beyonce is a singer J.Lo is not) and all around musical style totally different.
Anyways on to the J.Lo video I like it, much much better that the first but I still don’t see this doing much to push the sales of her records, but I don’t think she cares much right about now she’s happily married and about to be a mommy and even if she never gets back to the top she can at least say she was once there.
