You may remember Tyra B. from her 2005 single, “Country Boy.” Now she’s back, inking a new deal with Warner Bros. This is the video for her new single, “Givin’ Me A Rush.” Her debut album, Introducing Tyra, is set to release early ’08.

I like the song, the video was okay. Like many, I get the Aaliyah vibe, then at the end, Ciara.
To those saying Aaliyah didn’t “invent” baggy pants, like someone said, it was her signature. I never think of TLC or any other groups when I see the ‘tom boy’ style. If you beg to differ, so be it. That’s just how I feel.

I like the song. Her and Ciara are on completely different pages. She can sing, Ciara can’t. Ciara can dance her ass off Tyra can move a little to the beat. Unfortunately Tyra is like a million other girls out there and doesn’t stand out it seems like she swagger jacked a lot of people but it seems like everyone has to swagger jack to make their own unique style eg. Rihanna (She copied a whole lot of people), Ciara (She immitates Aaliyah and has a lil TLC vibe to her), ect.
Ok, I see Aaliyah all over it which means: no originality. Tyra B is just like so many others who are not memorable and indistinguishable from her counterparts. While I like her song, it would not be something that I would rush out and buy. It is nice, but have heard the same vibes over and over again…

Yes…some dance moves can be compared to whoever you want to compare it to, our body’s can only contort(Definition for thoes who need “Contort – To twist, wrench, or bend severely out of shape”) in so many ways so whats the odds of a move not being done before.
Its funny though, how people say how much music has suffered but when they do things that resemble the past…cause this is very 90′s…people complain.
This song had me since the “Human Nature” sample was on it but the words are nicely formed so big ups to her. The video, however, doesnt make too much sense…mainly the cut scenes and the fact that she was singing to a dude yet all her scenes, theres no one in sight. Yea, i know hes seeing her on the internet but shit…have a scene with the dude atleast….
One thing for sure I agree with VODORUN! But in my opinion she can’t top Ciara.
It kind of look like she was stealing Ciara moves from GOODIES and the belly dance form GET UP! I don’t know Ciara was the one that had everybody following her moves so to me all Tyra’s doing is repeating her dance moves.
Oh. and to add Tyra’s more of a dude than Ciara. she wears boy jeans… Ciara doesn’t go all the way out like she does! There’s really NO comparison between them, Tyra even sounds like a guy when she talks yet along she can pass off as one more than Ciara probably could.

Tyra B. is cool. I don’t see a problem with her, but I do think she probably should have came out with a song more uptempo. She’d probably get her name out there more than it already is. Once again how is she jacking Aaliyah’s style? Why is Aaliyah the owner of the tomboy title? Tomboys were around way before her and even wore the same shit she wore before her too.
