I think Chrisette is hot!!! I love that video. I think she’s doing something different and bringing something different to the game right now. She’s young but she seems to have an old soul. While I saw Beyonce on EVERY FREAKIN THING, they should have done much more to promote Chrisette. It just goes to show the industry is not into good, quality music and we as consumers allow them to behave that way because we don’t support artist like Chrisette. Keep doin’ ya thing, girl. The gurl can Sing. Unfortunately, the songs don’t appeal to me. Not that that’s demeaning to her talent. I just feel like she could make songs that have a different feel to them. It’s just a bit bleh to me..She’s fly yes. And one thing: she needs to stop with the jazz faces, it’s not a good look, this is not a Madonna video and she isn’t exactly a size 2 knowmsayin. Still love her though, I’m rooting for her.

Love Chrisette, LOVE the song, I’m still a lil’ shaky on the video, I think they could have gone in a more youthful or colorful direction, the scheme is a lil’ drab and I like Will. I Am’s part so I think that should have stayed too but it could have been a number of reasons he wasn’t in the vid. Other than that she’s a fierce chick with talent.
*P.S.* To the person who made the comments about the jazz faces and her NOT being a size 2, how silly is that. She is a classically trained singer and she lists her musical influences as jazz standards…Ella, Billie, Natalie Cole…etc and if you watch any jazz singer, honey if you doing it right faces WILL be made. Even Beyonce and other people make faces when singing…oh and her size, shouldn’t even be an issue.

I didnt see Persia anywhere. Chrisette is cool but she’s so young and its gonna be hard for them to get young ppl to like her sound. They need to just market her to older ppl. It was nice to see her doing a song that related to ppl her age though.

I love Chrisette’s style. Real music is a breath of fresh air. I agree with everyone who said in order for people to go out and support an artist, we need to know who they are and what music they have to offer. Only promotions and presentations of some type can let consumers know an artist has arrived. Without that, an artist record sales would be dismal. Record companies tend to use prejudice in which artists they chose to promote. Not everything that looks sexy will sell. Raw talent can really go a long way. I hope the record execs get that through their thick skull
Chrisettes album is incredible. I can play it from beginning to end no interuption. Listening to her voice is PURE enjoyment. I have CL to thank for exposing me to her. I first heard of her earlier this year in one Brian’s music reviews, I’ve been hooked ever since. Even went and saw her live. It’s nice to read the rest of these comments and see I’m not the only one feeling her.

loved the song love the video Ive been playing this album since June bought 2 one for my parents and one for me… Ive put all my friends on to her everyone knows they are getting her album for xmas…been diggin her music since hs when a couple of my friends met her in bk and she was soo cool to them. She is a real artist with real music.
