She stands talented, beautiful and Black, wearing her crowning glory ala natur’al. She ain’t knockin no one for how they choose to wear theirs, weaved, wigged, etc…So why are some of you hatin, and why is her beauty dimished because she has choosen not to take the ( kink, curl, nap )out of her hair. We should marvel at the versatility of Black women, who else can carry off so many styles and be gorgeous.

I usually just read the comments and get my laugh on. I do have one serious question I’d like to ask all the black ladies here….when & do you ever think it will be “fashionably okay” for us to wear our own hair? Each year I’m amazed at the trends from weaves to wigs. I’ve heard many arguments why we won’t ever stop wearing the pieces, but I was just wondering why we feel the need to have hair down our asses…that’s not really ours. I think there’s nothing sexier than a black woman sporting the all natural (could be pressed, permed, etc. as long as it’s what God gave you) look from her hair to her body parts. After all we are the epitome of what REAL beauty is anyways. Most woman of other ethnicities are always trying to accentuate what we naturally have (from skin complexion to fake ass and titties)….everything except the hair??? I just don’t understand.

I’ve always had thick hair shoulder length not to long and not to short but I have always worn weaves, every since I was in the 7th grade to be exact, mainly because I like a differnt look, and because I am a hair dresser and hair and fashion is my passion. I feel like just because one wears a weave that dont mean that they dont like theirselves, maybe it just means that they like to look difernt and I dont feel like anything is wrong with that, I mean really our hair does not define, us and I love wearing weaves, because I like being verstile. HOWEVER I must say that the bangs and straight hair are not working for her. I like the color but she just needs to style it back like how she had it before curly. I just don’t like straight hair on her but she is far from ugly she still looks pretty in the face make-up or no make-up. I don’t know if she’s pregnant I doubt it b/c she’s on top of the game so why would she have a baby now it doesn’t make sense. I’m sure she’ll have it tight for when her album drops.

Neyo and Jay are both good artists even though Neyo always looks fruity but they are both cool so I’ll leave it at that.

Denzel is a really good actor and that’s about it.

Jurnee is okay looking it’s something weird about her face. It’s her bone structure or something but she’s not ugly.

India Arie is a good singer and that’s about it.

That’s all I have to say this is my opinion and whoever don’t like it, especially the Ciara stans, can kick rocks. Deuces!

I NEVER said Beyonce fans had no clue about fashion…I said anyone who thinks Beyonce is a trendsetter has no clue about fashion… It has nothing to do with her music.
As for needing a fashion magazine to tell you what is what…that’s why I wrote “get a self-concept” lol and the “or a Vogue magazine (that would pe the proverbial “clue”)” Was a facetious way of saying…if you think Beyonce’s a trendsetter you’ve probably got no self-concept (i.e. real sensibility) so you’re better of with a Vogue magazine…a clue lol It was really an insult to anyone who would have to rely on Vogue… (and that’s not to say it isn’t a good magazine…it very much is…if you have some idea of what you’re looking for…it facilitates things…but it could be better…too many people selling out for ad dollars. I agree that IF Beyonce is copying Rihanna they are about square since Rihanna DEFINITELY copied Beyonce when she first came out. I think Beyonce accepted it as a form of flattery, then, though…I think Jay Z basically chose rihanna and Tiara Marie because they both resemble Beyonce. I think Beyonce saw nothing threatening in Rihanna and encouraged it, early on (doing such things as writing little notes to Rihanna, encouraging her Beyonce-like performances). So, yeah Rihanna copied her…but I also think Beyonce was flattered by it..she saw it as paying homage to her, the way Tina Turner sees Beyonce (and Christina Aguilera for some reason) as paying homage to her. Anyway…yeah Rihanna was a total Beyonce facsimilie…so much so that I ignored her completely before “Umbrella”

Now…do I think Beyonce is copying Rihanna now…I don’t know. I certainly think the nail lacquer as an accessory is really really really a Rihanna thing (although Kelis boasted neon colors wayyyy before they became the in thing last year…fluorescents were perhaps Rihanna’s thing but Kelis was all about neon yellows, pinks, jade green, bright reds…nobody remembers or cares…SMH). And, honestly I do see Beyonce trying for some of the youthful edginess of darker palates like Rihanna’s but Ashlee Simpson’s got a black fetish too…and Rumor Willis…and Mary-Kate Olsen…so who knows?
