But you forgot one: Mr Blackwell lol He put Beyonce on his best dressed list lol And, of course, on his worst dressed list he emptied OK magazine and US weekly, giving every vapid celebrity a whirl (and that’s what he’s paid for…no press is bad press…and nobody would believe he thought them stylish, so he’s paid even for ripping them apart…he gets paid for it but I’ll explain that later).
People have criticized his recent lists for being, frankly, boring. And, others have said his choices for worst dressed are like shooting fish in a barrel now. And, do you know why that is? because he’s been ushered into the uber capitalistic fold. It’s a capitalistic machine with the investors choosing stars that will turn the greatest profits and designers/design houses pretending they so admire these celebrities that they asked them to endorse products as opposed to admitting that it was a staunchly capitalistic move AND lastly with fashion editors being paid off in huge advertisement fees to validate the whole process, to pretend these celebrities stylish and these items of clothing worth buying. It’s sheer capitalism. You’d probably never come across a reputable best dressed list you’d actually like because it’s likely you’ll hardly recognize any of the honorees.

Why all of the Rihanna hate, btw? She is talented, beautiful and successful. She may not have a huge voice, but she can sing well. If we got rid of everybody that doesn’t have an arena-sized voice, we’d only be left with Mariah, Mary, Xtina, Fantasia, J.Hud and perhaps a few others. There are so many types of music/songs that don’t require alot of belting.

I like Beyonce alot, but what is it with some of her fans? You guys turn people against her more than you convince anyone of her greatness. If you have to list her accomplishments in order to prove her credibility, that just proves how insecure you are about her status and how threatened you are of other female artists.

It also annoys the hell out of me how her fans put down the vocals of almost every female attist. I don’t get that because she ain’t no Whitney her ownself. We are talkin about the chick whose biggest and best vocal number is “Listen,” right? Beyonce can definitely sing, but she’s not toppin no “Greatest of All Time” lists-unless the list is pretty long. lol. She’s not even the best singer of her generation because Jennifer H. and Christina A. will blow her lacefront clean off. Until Bey is the hands down best singer in the industry, please quit doggin every chick that is trying to make a name for herself.

And everyone please stop rattling off those industry awards because they do not certify substance. The best singers, writers and albums hardly receive the recognition they deserve. Mediocre projects, with good sales, attached to popular names are primarily what gets noted-and it’s not much to brag about. Albums that only received 3-3.5 stars have won “Album of the Year” at the Grammys while cds that got 5 stars didn’t even get nominated. Those shows rarely select the best music and musicians of the year, so don’t set too much store by those golden statuettes. Besides, they are voted on mostly by industry employees-not music experts.

Is there really a debate about rather people think Rihanna is talented or not…does it matter…some people will like her and some won’t…it’s that simple…there’s no need to write a report and compare her to other artists. There’s no need to diss her and call her names…she’s just not your cup of tea. The comparisons to Mary J., Alicia K, Mariah, or Beyonce are not needed.
