Wow. Both of these songs sound really dated. They could’ve both been hits for either artist back in the 90s. Not that they are bad songs, but they just wouldn’t get any play.

I’m all for groups and artists from the 90s coming back and putting out good music (Blackstreet, SWV, Xscape, etc), but they need to stay current if they don’t want to look like has-beens trying to get paid so they can pay the rent and eat. Then again, I’d hate to see a 35 year old singer trying to be all soulja boi-ing (made that up) on their album, too, so it’s just a balance they need to find. Stay fresh but be grown. Unfortunately, this music right here is a not fresh and is unmarketable.

Its funny that soulja boy can have a platinum hit with no talent, but people are calling TGT lame? I dont get it. These are 3 talented and beautiful men making real music. Not beats with a stupid hook, but real R&B! I love it. I’ll be at the “shirts off tour” front and center!

Is it just me, or does EVERY R&B song by a male or male group sound EXACTLY the same? I am SO over R&B music… the same baseline, the same beats remixed, everybody trying to create a song that somebody can f#ck to.

SO not the good look for the state of GOOD African American music in males - this generic shyt is terrible! In ALL the men in music, we don’t have ONE person we can count on for some Luther-esque, Peabo Bryson-esque, Whitney Houston-esque, Aretha Franklin-esque type REAL music. Everybody usin a keyboard trying to figure out who can make the best f%ck song!

THATS why Beyonce’ stands out so much, not so much because she’s the baddest bytch, but because she dares to be DIFFERENT and totally go against the grain in her music, and even though her stuff is no Aretha type music… she’s in a league all her own.

If this shyt is any indication of THREE previous SOLO artist and the best they could come up with… I suggest they go back to the drawing board.

I know that for the most part, I’m alone in this thought process, but R&B really sucks to me. When you can put on a song by Tyrese, Tank, Genuwine, Jaheem, Omarion, Mario, etc and not know WHOSE song it is… it’s time for some reevaluation.

Good collabos…they are all really good friends and it was a good idea for them to hook-up. Imagine seeing all 3 of these gentleman on the same stage at once…oh damn!!! If you EVER seen one of them perform before you KNOW it well indeed be a treat lol…I can’t wait, the album needs to drop like today!!!

It amazing me that on that same day that “Concreteloop” post music from people with “REAL” vocal talent (TGT) and Ashanti you people gush over the latter (Ashanti) what is going on?!?!?!? Also to those that are calling Tyrese, 29; Tank, 31; and Ginuwine, 36 old are probably the same people that listen to Luda, 30; Kanye, 30 and Jay Z, 38!!!

I do believe that they are going to make a come back. The only thing that concerns me is that ADULTS dont by music anymore. The children are the ones that go out and by music and download. I can see MY son downloading it becuase he is musically inclined( he is in the enterainment business) but for another 14 year old to be blasting “SEX” i cant see it. Now on to TGT. Like I said I’m kind of young and I don’t think that there is anything wrong with putting a group together when your in your late 20’s and 30 as long as the music is solid. I think that TGT is trying to bring back that grown and sexy feel that a lot of R&B artist are missing today. These 2 tracks may not be the greatest two songs ever made but I do think that they are taking the right steps and its songs that you can just ride out to. Maybe as they continue to work on songs they will bring in some more update-to-date songs. In the mean time I wish them the best of luck and I am anxious to hear some more tracks from the album.

People keep talking about the music not being up to date. What do you consider up to date? The water down beats of today? That same track used by CB, Beyonce and that Rihanna & Neyo song? Ooh ooh! Although I’m 18, Its pretty clear to me that yesteryears music is a lot better than the present. These two tracks are like a steak to me, where as lot of rnb songs today are like a watercress salad.

Those of you calling these men has-beens need to slow your roll. We are all getting older everyday. If this is your mentality, you yourself will be a has been soon. I respect these men for still trying to put out good quality music at a time when r & b has been so disrespected. I am sick and tired of turning on the radio stations and hearing nothing but hip hop. These guys actually have talent. So lets support them as they prepare this album. And I hope this is the beginning of the return of R& B.

I love all 3 of the artists work seperately and from what i’m listenin to it sounds like they’re doin well as a group. The ‘Please Don’t Go Remix’ was hot although i loved the original aswell.
Out of ‘Sex’ and ‘Girlfriend’ I’d say ‘Sex’ is better but i think we’re gonna hear something a lil better from them. They got the talent and experience to produce something to blow all R&B lovers minds away. They’re not has been’s, Tanks latest album was one of the best i heard last year and as for Tyrese and Ginuwine, they’ve both been successful at producing some real smooth, sexy sounds.

I’m feeling the song “Sex” I don’t care for the “girlfriend” track. Sex was suppose to be Tyrese’s album title before he done the Black Ty cd. R. Kelly was suppose to produced that album since R. Kelly decided not to use “Sex” as his 2005 album. TGT will do a successful album like the LSG first cd

I love these songs so much. I have loved Ginuwine since 1996, and he never fell off, so stop hatin on him! He has 5 successful albums and many dedicated fans that support him to the fullest. I am so excited for this project, and these 2 amazing songs prove that they can make some very hot songs. Do your thing TGT! I will go buy my 2 copies when this album drops.

I’m ready for any good music. they were good as solo artist during their time…so maybe now during a time when the industry isn’t at it’s best as far as the quality of music goes…I hope they can bring something good

As a unit they sound good together…but it’s sounds like their holding back too much…they need to get ugly with it…stupid ugly…especially Tyrese…I think that passion is missing. You know, Jodeci use to be ugly with it…the passion came up from the gut…it wasn’t always in that neat little package. The beats are nice…but I think they should carve out a different sound from everyone else…through some
p-funk in there….bring the guitars front and center and keep it there. Lastly sing about some edgier sh*t, like the ’sex’ and ‘girlfriend’ topic are extremely old….the group Silk’s “Tonight” album covered the topic’s from A-Z….and just about everyone else in R n’ B. My suggestion, you might ask? Go and pick up all the Bobby Womack albums/cd’s that you can find and study that sh*t….then check out some Issac Hayes…Barry White…Stevie Wonder…Donny Hathaway…Earth Wind & Fire…and Buddy Guy….and listen to the topics they discuss…how they discuss it through their music delivery….study the way they incorporate the sound, using ‘fresh’ instrumentation….live sets and raw emotion. I think TGT could be a wonderful thing that is needed in 2008, but don’t do it if you Not going to do it right…take a risk, after all…What do you have to lose? Or the other option, continue to fade to black in a abyss of mediocre musicians, who have no real talent or desire to grow and play with fire.

So clearly there are a million comments about these three, but I could not leave without putting in my two cents. Individually each one of them has had their shine; however, none of them were ever BIG BIG and forming a group called TGT does not help them in my opinion. First of all, Ginuwine, honestly I used to dig him back in the day, but I seriously feel his time is near. If he stopped being lazy and sleeping around with every chick tryna be GQ and actually put more focus into his music he could bang out another cool album. Tyrese, he fell way off as well. His album that came out with him rapping and singing is what messed him up. He needs to go back in the studio, rethink that idea, come back correct and I’m sure he’ll be fine. Tank is cool as hell he just gets no love in the streets like a lot of good artist (Tamia, Teedra Moses, etc), but that doesnt mean he should team up with these two he was better off by himself. So I think all three of them need to sit down and rethink this approach…asap.

i grew up listening to them… so i don’t care if they’re old or not and they finally got together to do a collaboration, look at LSG (gerald levert, keith sweat & johnny gill), they were big in the 80s, and they grouped together in the mid 90s to make “my body”. And whattt….. the main thing is, each and everyone of them did it big in r&b… it shouldn’t matter about the age.. like aaliyah says… age aint nothing but a number!

Its not about “hating”. I just do not like the sound or lyrics. Someone said they need to rethink the idea. Yes, I feel the same way too. Their sound and lyrics is a bit dated. As if someone sung this sound before…They need something to create a banger for the first single. And this is not a banger. They need to come harder than this, with their great voices….

As a lover of real MUSIC (not this crap thats out today) but real music (circa 1980’s and 1990’s)
I LOVE IT …thats why I’ll just keep listening to my oldies….
