First, she modeled down the Dsquared runway show, and now Marc Jacobs has added her to his list of celebrity named handbags. The Rihanna bag that premiered from his Spring line, is roomy in size with a large twist-lock closure front flap pocket and aged silver metal hardware.
The purse comes in two styles available on eluxury – a silver leather/suede version ($2,075) and a distressed metallic version ($1,650). Lets see how many versions Rihanna will be carrying herself.

I think that the one that cost 1650 is cute, I would buy it, pictures do not do some bags justice and I am a huge Marc Jacobs fan I have two of his stam handbags, which I love to death because they are so stylish and chic. He is what you call a true designer because he actually sits down and sketches his designs. I am really sick and tired of all these want to be celebrity designers who call themselves designers. Having some one sketch and create a design for you does not qualify you to be a designer I wish that all these tacky celeb lines would go away and leave it to the true designers except Gwen Stefani because her line is super cute

That bag is not all that. If someone gave it to me, I’b probably use it, but I wouldn’t spend any money on it. We’ll see it in Marshalls pretty soon anyway, for $69.99. Just give it about 6 months. Rihanna is making leaps as far as fashion is concerned and seeing a fresh face is so refreshing, compared to being bombarded with Beyonce’s overexposed image. Whenever I see Beyonce do her Direct TV commercials, I feel like jumping out the window screaming. To say “she is annoying” is a gross understatement. To Rihanna I say, YOU GO GIRL and don’t come back.
Please I’d much rather see Beyonce’s 50/11 commercials then hear one more word about this Rihanna chick. At least Beyonce has talent so people can tolerate her a lot more. All celebs have stylists. Some of them are just better than others. The stylists only do so much they have to incorporate the personal style of their client with their own that is why some celebs can never quite pull their look together.

the silver leather/suede version is hot but I don’t wear leather…but I will say it’s one of those bags that’s worth the money because it really does look like you could carry it forever. Now, would I buy it even if I did wear leather? No. It’s for the woman with no penchant for buyer’s remorse.

I am not a Bey fan so I am not hating. Sometimes in this industry and marketing you can move to fast. the purses are over priced and the people who could truly afford them are not that into Rhiannas music. You have to have a strategy to be around for the long haul and not just be trendy because you all know trends change everyday.
