2007 was full of new sounds from artists. With Kanye & Daft Punk’s Stronger being one of the years hottest songs, it opened the door for a new international sound for Hip Hop.
With that international party sound comes international party fashion that made its way down some of Spring 2008 runway shows. Bright colors, fun patterns, and techno shoes shows what New Wave is all about. As this sound evolves more in music this year (with upcoming albums from Janet and Beyonce to name a few), this style trend will definitely evolve as well.

I am so ready. 80′s baby for real. Flourescent shoelace hair ribbons and patent leather shoes with ribbon laces, and tights and socks with those damn jumpers with the shorts already attached. MAN I’m having a fashion flash back.
Ok those REEBOK and BALENCIAGA shoes are UGLY as all get out.Sorry but that’s type of fashion is played out. I’m all for bringing fashion back, but dag nabbit it better be FLY and wearable.

The Christopher Kane dress, of course everyone remembers Eve in it in that video but I saw it in a layout months before she wore it and it’s stunning on the model. If you’re willowy, it’s really a good look. It’s one of those pieces that’s really for the lithe girl.
Also, The House of Holland (I guess. New one for me!) t-shirt dress reminds me of the Stella McCartney “Slippery When Wet” dress from a few years back. There’s a couple of really nice ones on Patricia Field’s site, too.

well, it’s right on time cause Paula is a singer again (at least for Randy’s new CD). You haven’t heard her new song? It’s actually hot. It’s a dance track and it’s a very good song. She’ll be performing at the super bowl pre-game party.
R&B star Toni Braxton will release a brand new album around the Spring or Summer of 2008. The new album will be “classic, old-school, Toni’s style”. Always love the fashion postsI copped those 25th Anni. Reebok joints in neon pink this summer, and as a fashionista, have been rocking them very nicely if I must say so myself. The rainbow laces let you do sooo much regardless the color of the shoe. I like to mix it up! Love the the jackets. Colored denim never goes out of style!
