2007 was full of new sounds from artists. With Kanye & Daft Punk’s Stronger being one of the years hottest songs, it opened the door for a new international sound for Hip Hop.
With that international party sound comes international party fashion that made its way down some of Spring 2008 runway shows. Bright colors, fun patterns, and techno shoes shows what New Wave is all about. As this sound evolves more in music this year (with upcoming albums from Janet and Beyonce to name a few), this style trend will definitely evolve as well.

I think that the sound Kanye and them French boys r bringing, is definitely a breath of fresh air after all the ‘Laffy Taffys’ and whatnot. LOVE the Herve Leger and YSL dresses! The 80′s are making a comeback but I kinda think if you’re old enough to remember wearing clothes like this back in the 80′s you’re probably TOO OLD to rock them now…sorry- jus sayin’. Leave this fashion to us ( anyone born after ’83 )- we love 80′s fashion- it’s our turn now! lol.

Alot of this REALLY HOT gear reminds me of things from one of my favourite movies of all time “The Fifth Element” I’ve actually been rocking many of these colours for a minute already & love the style, the vibe, the colour & the flare!!!
i’ve already been considering changing up my style… now it’s official. the new wave style has been around for awhile… it isn’t fashionable when you’re out and see 2 or more people with your same outfit, or carbon copies of it…
I would wear the hell out of that limegreen/yellow dress on top…if I actually had a body. lol

i heard the DAFT PUNK song “Stronger” back in 06 at a volleyball tournament b/4 i heard the Kanye version… and this new style transcends genre… like if u go to the mall u cud see and emo-looking girl, a cheerleader, and hollyweerdo chick fighting over the same pair of skinnys… the new loud colors isn’t really my style but i’d rock crazy sneaks any day.

everyone does dress like this now… it so easy to find and buy target got hella teez like those… and every party i go to everyone may think they dress different but it all looks the same.
it usta be just a few of my friends at school who dreessed in loud colors with weird shoes… but now it’s everyone EVERYONE… it’s whatevv tho. lol… it’s better than tha D-Boy look

Co-Sign: #30 & #40. I’m surprised everyone is getting excited about this post. I actually consider it 3 years late lol. This whole look is kinda retired now that every Tom, Dick & Harry is doing it. I remember when I was laughed at for doing it, now its a “trend”. This look is too ‘Myspace’ if u get my drift, u’ll know what I mean lol
