We thought she was going to be half naked as always, but she shows up covered from head to toe with a Black catsuit. What the fuck do you think Janet was trying to say in the abstract video? Clearly she is showing you this as a demonstration” on how it’s supposed to be down as an entertainer who performs for the love of music and performing and not marketing and trying to sell you fucking lipgloss and Venus shaving razors. Don’t like it. Yes Janet is a legend and a living icon. You see how she has inspired all of there young females out here in the industry. But why can’t she see that and move onto something better than what she is serving us all right now? I’m digging the coffee-table-book/arthouse vibe of this album cover. Most of the aspiring pop/R&B princesses are too busy trying to just look “pretty” on their album covers to take an artistic risk like this. I like that Janet took it there. She’s showed us that EDGY can be BEAUTIFUL, too. This pic is so stylized that it would fit just as easily in an art gallery or a high fashion mag, as it does on the album cover. And the look goes perfectly with the name and concept of the album. If that album cover doesn’t say “Discipline,” I dunno what does! Get ‘em, Janet!
