No one needs an inlay card or need a physical CD anymore. Just give us the music and we will pay for the download and play it on our mp3 players. I mean, we read and here so much about the musicians online via their myspace page or on the blogs by the time the CD comes out, whoever they said thank you to in their “thanks yous” might be an enemy/frenemy/dead whatever……

And on the internet you can have worldwide one time releases and CA$H in.

And all you ned to do is stop spending money on manufacturing and spend the money on advertising (such as banners on CL / Crunk and Disorderly /allhiphop etc) and marketing sending mastered material to radio stations via your own production/label.

I’m excited for JHud’s album…Clive Davis is indeed a very smart man and known for bringing out hit albums…so I wont’ be surprised at a chart topping album coming from her. I agree that everyone was looking at her as a young Aretha and he needed to change that…as far as Kelly goes…I wish her the best and I knew that Mathew Knowles didn’t promote her CD nearly as much as Beyonce’s…I wish KElly would realize she needs new management that wouldn’t mind pushing the extremes for her.

So glad we didn’t end up with an album that sounded as if she was 40. I’ll wait to hear some quality music. I know she has a very strong mature voice, but she’s young and I’d hate to be completely bored by her album.

I have heard many things about JHuds album over the last few months, heard she needed vocal training did not do well in studio recording movie soundtracks are recorded differently, this slant about her being the next Aretha new to me she never sounded like Aretha to me never thought there was much soul in her style, nice church sound or lounge sound. Unless they were waiting on the possible movie role and then promote an album, I even heard, Clive was not pleased with her live performances either to promote an album. Thank God she has that Oscar, hopefully that and all the other awrards keep her employed in this industry.

I’m really not all that excited to hear an album from J-Hud. According, to this message board, I guess I’m the only one, lol. I’m just really not a big fan of her vocals. She sounds a bit too over the top when she sings, and it just ruins songs. For instance, like that duet she did w/ Neyo, she completely killed it! And, not in a good way! What people aren’t getting about J.Hud is that her style of singing is more along the Whitney, Areatha lines which is too old for the audience of today that their gearing her music towards. Clive knew this and knew it wouldn’t sell. Concrete leaked a single as well as what she had on Ne-Yo’s album - yeah she can sing, but you need more than that today. I think she’ll sell ONLY if she has a BANGER like “I Will Always Love You”, etc. A BIG SONG; otherwise, anything fast or mid-tempo is going to flop because her image isn’t sexy and I DO NOT want to see her dancing with those knocked knee’d legs. So I knew it was true.

It is very unrealistic to think that J Hud will be the next Aretha Franklin. That shit just sounds stupid. There will never be another Aretha and I doubt that J Hud even comes close. Kelly might could be mad at her label, but ultimately? She shouldn’t be upset with nobody but herself for putting out less-than-strong material that people didn’t connect to.

I love her to pieces, but it seems like ya’ll people that stay hollering about how she needs to dump her manager because they don’t play her out like her sister have FINALLY gotten into Kelly’s head and made her talk stupid shyt. She’s NOT as driven and polished and accepted as her sister yet, hence the differences. But its nobody’s fault but hers people weren’t feeling the music. She took so damn long putting out Ms. Kelly the first time, she should’ve took a little longer and got that shyt right. Can’t go blaming er’body else now.

I hope she succeeds with her rerelease, but i’m not holding my breath, lest i lose it.

Matter fact, speaking of losing my breath: if her CD can’t make me say OOH, like them Destiny ones? Why Kelly ask for some? She don’t really WANT none.

I like J hud I really do, but they are taking to damn long with her CD. We are growing uninterested and dag nabit they better get on the good foot with it.

Kelly poor thing. I like her music but the label isn’t pushing her cd like it deserves to be pushed. I won’t say she’s no good without DC3 because we all know how Latoya did in terms of her success. It’s just her label realy needs to give her music and album some much needed attention or ever better go INDEPENDENT Kelly!

All you have to do is look it up, she keeps her supporters informed!

She’s been so busy since Dreamgirls! Just because someone is not constantly on magazine covers, in the media, or promoting fake relationships, does not mean that they’re not working, because clearly she’s laughing at you haters all the way to the bank!

From the tracks i’ve heard from her album…..i can gaurantee that she will go platinum, and Clive knows it (he LOVES her)!

I am soooo hyped about Kim’s official return to the music scene. Hip-Hop defintely misses the Queen Bee’s presence and I’m sooooo excited to see what hot sh1t he is gonne deliver this time…because K.I.M. always drops hot albums, DON’T HATE!

when i heard Jennifer Hudson was working with the production duo THE UNDERDOGS (Mario,Tyrese, Rueben Studdard, Fantasia,Monica) on material on that scapped album, I knew her material would be mediocre. I have yet to hear any REAL “fire” from her as a recording artist. Sometimes BIG voices don’t always translate into hit CD’s, just ask Jennifer Holiday (the oringinal Effie from Dreamgirls) her solo career didn’t really produce anything exceptional. Neither did Tonya Blount for Sister Act 2.

word to Clive Davis: you need to stop pairing your artist with the medicore production the Underdogs, they are sole reason Ruben Studdard and Tyrese (and others) on your label had horrible album reviews and sales. Drop them like you did Olivia (after you used her top 10 hit Bizzoune to launch your label)

It’s really unfortunate and quite hilarious that The Rickey Smiley Morning Show just announced in their celebrity gossip report that Jennifer Hudson’s debut C.D. will not be coming out because Clive scrapped every song that she recorded and said that she “CAN’T SING”……..LMFAO (can’t sing?)! Then one of the correspondents went on to say that maybe he should have gotten Kimberley Locke….are you kidding me lol. The good thing is Ricky Smiley was in shock and i don’t think he believed this garbage, at least i hope not! Kelly needs to leave her management and her label….only then will people become interested in her and respect her more.Work with a whole new team, get some people that are excited about your success and potential, and new image and direction. A departure from Beyonce’s “cuttin room floor ” material would be just what Kelly needs. Michelle has wised up this time around and trying to get HER own sound, Kelly should follow suit.

As for myself………I shouldn’t be saying this AT ALL lol, but since you asked……i’m related to a producer (i want name him, but he is a very well known producer in hip hop and r&b) that has worked with Jennifer in his recording studio penning tracks for her c.d., and i had the opportunity of being their! She is nothing short of AMAZING in person….so i know first hand and personally that this girl can sing ANYTHING, and hearing her voice LIVE is like WOW (truely OUT OF THIS WORLD)! When she would sing everyone would sit in awe….mouth to the floor lol. I’m dedicted because i hate when people talk about shyt, and they really don’t know what the hell they’re talking about LOL! It’s all a bunch of garbage…..I just can’t wait for the public to hear her music!

Kelly Rowland’s second CD is the sh*t! The world slept on it, and Kelly has every reason to feel a little dissapointed - it’s a strong album - far better than her first and many other big albums of 2007, but it seems that’s not all you need in the music industry today, which is sad but true!

Hopefully the re-release won’t see them scrap the great songs on the original CD, and she’ll finally get recognition for the great album she made.

Kelly Rowland has a very good voice i think she needs to work with people like clive davis to get her in the front lines. Her album MS. kelly was one of the best albums that came out in 2007 whoever pick out her single should be fired because the song still in love with my ex and better without you are hot song her love always are like bad habit that she wrote herself. she is way a better of a singer then people like rihhana or ciara leytoa luckett, chris brown because the singer standard really has gone down but her voice is very nice and beyonce’ maybe bigger becuase she is manged by her father but she is a nasty bitch and her vocal training maybe but her she cant sing all like that and she would be nothing without jayz and she knows that.
