So, Michelle Williams posted up a recent blog on her MySpace page, updating us on the status of her album and the leaking of the snippet of her new song “Stop This Car.”
“As you guys know a portion of ‘Stop This Car’ was ‘leaked’ on the internet and to my surprise the responses have been so positive! I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t leak, nor can I tell you who did even if my life depended on it! Thank y’all so much for embracing it! It’s truly a different song for me! I almost didn’t record it… I’ll get in to why a little later! So that being said… it looks like it will be my first single (I THINK!). This time around it’s time for you guys to know who I am and I’ll make sure of it! This album will not disappoint… I promise you!”

WILL.I.AM TO RERELEASE SONGS ABOUT GIRLS
Interscope is planning to rerelease Will.I.Am of Black Eyed Peas fame solo album, Songs About Girls. Due to horrible album sales, and a less than impressive run on the charts, the album will be rereleased sometime this year. It charted at No. 38 with 21,000 copies sold and to date has moved 47,108 units – and now has fallen completely off the Billboard charts.
“We went with the wrong single and it sold nothing,” a label insider admits. “We would’ve been in better shape if we had pulled the album, because to relaunch it is harder.”
The label plans to re-release the record in early 2008 with three new tracks. Personally, I don’t think that Will.I.Am needs to focus on being on an artist – he needs to stick to producing. I know Fergie is about to drop a new album, he needs to get cracking on that! I don’t see how a rerelease is going to pump the project up anymore. Looks like he’s pulling a Ms. Kelly.
ON THE SET WITH TIMBALAND, KERI & NICOLE
In December, Timbaland, Keri Hilson and Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls shot a video for the latest single from his Shock Value album, “Scream.” To your left, you will see exclusive video footage from Yahoo! Music of the three on the set of the video.
Everyone looks great. I am really excited to see what the outcome of the video will be, I think the concept looks pretty cool. The video for “Scream” will premiere on January 18th on Yahoo! Music, so be on the look out for that. “Scream” is the last single from Timbaland’s latest album. Also, be sure to watch out for Nicole’s album, Her Name Is Nicole and Keri’s In A Perfect World very soon.
I really wish the best for Michelle! She is talented and many people do not realize it. She better prove the haters wrong.
Will-I-Am’s CD was good, but it’s too late to try to go any further with it. The only successful solo member of BEP will be Fergie.
I’m looking forward to the Timbaland, Nicole and Keri Hilson collaboration, however, Nicole just doesn’t seem like herself at times. When she first came out, she seemed very down-to-earth and cool, but when she talks, she sounds like Paris Hilton. Don’t get me wrong, the woman is very talented and she has a strong voice ,but when she speaks, I want to cry.
Can’t wait to hear everbodies albums and songs.

GTFOH with that ‘Michelle Dump The Knowleses” shyt. Michelle has already had TWO number one solo albums with Mathew Knowles as her manager-ain”t a damn thing wrong with her promotion, hello? Its just that unlike some other Destiny’s Chirrun, people were digging her MATERIAL. She had strong MATERIAL, and it seems like with her new joint, its still strong. Tenitra found her NICHE, that’s all. Other folks just need to find theirs, regardless of who they managers are. (!!!) Anyhow, love Michelle, She’s truly talented, she has a great personality, and tons of drive and an affecting voice, and i wish the best of luck to her on her third go-round solo. I know i can’t wait to see her in The Color Purple now that its in Cali until March!

Michelle aint nobody responding positively to that breezy trash…if you come out with a secular CD, I mean a real one, not some pseudo-inspirational cd that’s “gospel enough” to fly in that genre, you will see that NOBODY wants to hear you…
I Know this will be a great look for michelle and be the start for something new she will be working hard on the color purple and she will have a great LP that would set her apart from all the rest in 2008 and stop this car is a great song to help start with she will be one of those artist to watch!!!! can’t wait to hear the new LP
michelle is going to be great this year she still has a freshness about her that make you interested in what she is doning unlike alot of stars that we know and heard from a thousand times and it seems to have more people loving the new single but they will always have haters michelle keep it up good job now lets work on making some more haters!!!!!!

Nobody’s checkin for Will, period. The Black Eyed Peas did not start really selling till Fergie came around so what makes Interscope think the same (white) people who bought “Fergie + some other guys” will buy “weird guy who produces songs for Fergie”?? He won’t sell period.
As for Michelle, I’m not really a fan (she puts me to sleep) but who knows, she may outsell Kelly. That would be interesting…

Ok, usually i don’t write on blogs but i have to. I was born and raised and still live in Houston and i can not believe that people are excited about MICHELLE’S album. WTH! She can’t sing and even on the DC cds she always got the the last liitle verse because she cannot sing at all!!! I would never buy anything she was on and I wouldn’t even consider the bootleg!! Good luck to her but I doubt it!
If you think “stop this car” is hot coming from michelle williams you need to get on her myspace and check out “Unexpected” and “Break The Dawn” she is really teasing people ! the songs are hot!! can’t wait for the album she got three hits on her hands already I’am feeling Unexpected right now at this moment!!!
