A new Faith Evans song has leaked, and I must admit, even though I’m lukewarm on the song, I am definitely excited about new material from Faith. I really enjoyed Faith’s last album, The First Lady, which was released via Capitol Records. This new song, “Maybe” was supposedly produced by The Neptunes – it has the same feel as 702′s “I Still Love You,” with the cowbells and what have you. Not surprising, either, because on her past two albums, Faith has worked with the duo.
Even though her MySpace is out of date, check her out on MySpace to listen some tracks from The First Lady.

Yeah I heard this song and thought that it would better off as an intro or interlude instead of a full length song it’s not trash but not strong enough to have people pay attention to Faith. I love Faith and though all her albums were the shit but “First Lady” was sub par to me, I’m going to support my girl..

Faith has a beautiful voice and she is not the typical R&B singer. I love this song it is reminiscent of Floetry for me.

I heard this song earlier today and I didn’t like it. I’ve never been a huge Faith fan but she puts out good music (except for that First Lady cd that was horrible to me) but if she come with that Faithfully music again I’m on it.

Faith is my chick. Her and Erykah get my money automatically when they come out. That said, this sounds like an interlude. Something about it doesn’t sound finished. The harmonies and the voice are there, so I’m happy.

Today’s music is futuristic with big electric beats.. or in the case of ballads… big voices… This doesn’t match either. This song also reminds me of something from Sade. Its nice for the mid 90′s… not now.
Come on Faith… I beleived in Janet and look at her new single “Feedback”.. its insane. Feedback is so ‘now’. I believe in Faith as well…. I want to see Faith do.. something current and fresh!

Faith can do NO WRONG in my book. By far, she is the most UNDERRATED R&B chick in the game. I love her, and I’m totally feeling this! I absolutely CAN NOT WAIT for new material from Faith. She is the real deal.

I like the song. Sounds melodic, mature and laid back.
I like her voice..but NOT on this song….the track sounds weak…the vocals are not strong..and the lyrics are average. To be a first single, she should’ve focused on somethign else!

I like this song. It’s soft and melodic and Faith flows on this Neptunes track. I’m glad she’s back. I missed her. I think R&B needs this sound now. Something simple and not always futuristic and robotic.
They need to rewrite the lyrics, it just doens’t flow to me. I agree that this should have been an intro.

Faith is, and will always be HOTNESS! From the first album”Faith” through “Keep the Faith” on to “Faithfully” and finally “The First Lady”(The only album without a “faith”title). This song is not what we are used to hearing from Faye, but I can dig it. Im hoping that this is just a leaked song, not the single, but being an original Faye fan, it’ll have to do for now to get my Faith fix. Anything she does is always classy, and her vocals and harmonies are always on, and this was no exception. Not my favorite joint, but I like it. And why yall gotta hate on Faye so much. I almost get offended because I love her so much. I agree, if she was the number one priority on her label, her efforts would get much more acclaim. I think Mary is good, and she works her voice out the best she can, cant hate, I love Mary too, but Faith is my ALLTIME favorite. I think I got more excited at the possibility of her touring again with a new album rather than just this song. Ill keep my eyes and ears peeled.
