NEW MUSIC FROM N.E.R.D.

♫ N.E.R.D. - Everyone Nose
Remember in the music news posts when we revealed that N.E.R.D. was working on new material for their upcoming album and that Pharrell was trying to conceptualize a new sound for the record? Well, here it is. “Everyone Nose” is a brand new track that’s leaked from the band, consisting of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes, as well as Shae. At first listen, I was slightly confused, but I actually love it. It’s loud, rude and brassy. I love the sample of the horns, the claps, the warped voice and the yelling. I think this is a great new direction for the band, which has dabbled in rap, rock, punk, R&B and alternative on their previous albums, In Search Of… and Fly or Die. Good looking, N.E.R.D. No One Every Really Dies…
Even though their MySpage isn’t as up to date as it should be, you can check them out, add them as a friend and listen to some of their old tracks from previous albums.

Well damn. I liked it. I agree it is a new sound, not too different from what they normally do b/c NERDS like using different instruments to create a unique cacophony.
I like it. Definitely interested in what’s to come….
How do i get this song?

This song is a subliminal about snorting cocaine or whatever uppers people do in the club restrooms. That would explain the “achoo” sneezing, the “100 dollar bills rolled” statement, and of course the name of the song…”Everybody Nose”!!!! The reason it may have thrown you off is because its not dumbed down, or bluntly promoting drug use. Just listen to it a little bit harder. C’mon ya’ll, dont act so slow all the time.

most of ya’ll didn’t know just cuz ya’ll don’t pay attention
shae was in jail for like a few months…he went on tour for both previous albums In Search Of and Fly or Die..he was the only person on the cover of their first album and he was present throughout all of Fly or Die’s release and touring and he’s ALWAYS hanging with pharrell…even on pharrell’s solo touring shae was there as the hype man lol….so yeah he was only gone for like a few months out of the 5 or 6 years NERD has been present…ya’ll just haven’t been paying attention.
Secondly I love the song…they played it safe with the FOD…this is new and out there and left field like the good ol’ neptunes usually are. I’ve been listening to it all morning and all day and all last night…I love the fact that it’s about coke whores lol….the randomness not the actual music reminds me of the in search of days…when you didn’t know what they were gonna come with. go nerd can’t wait for the album to drop

WHO DA HELL IS THE OTHER GUY I THOUGHT NERD CONSIST OF PHARELL AND CHAD HE MUST BE NEW
—> ANSWER : No Brit, NERD consists of those 3 guys and the third guy isn’t somebody new, search for their old records he was there. Now THE NEPTUNES consist of Hugo Chad and Pharell Williams, which means without the third one!!!
As for the song I THINK IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!! GET OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!!

I heard some Baltimore drums in there, thats about all, I can hear his Baltimore club influence in the song..(I know and love my bmore club stuff) But I wouldnt go as far as calling it a rip off. I like the song alot but i am impartial because I have to admit I am an N*E*R*D stan. and to #1, you must have never heard of N*E*R*D before because you would know Mr. Haley been the group from jump.

I’ve seen them live and I have both albums. However, I’m not feeling their new song.. The “Ah-CHOO” is a bit annoying.
I do like the breakdown and the ending but most of it I couldn’t stand.. I hope they don’t put that in the new album, or if they do, then they need to change it up (add Andre 3 Stacks on the song, not too many “Ah - Choo’s”, etc.)

I think it is funny that as a producer NERD have produced some of the best selling and creative stuff for other people turning them into stars. From Mystical, to Jay Z from Beyonce to even Britney. But as artists they are too advanced for audiences they produce tracks for other people for.
They are to advanced for the average pop culture obsessed American.
Only true audiophiles will get it.
If you adore Chris Brown, Soulja Boy, Alicia Key and Mary J Blige and are not openminded musically chances are you won’t get this.
Not a criticism….just fact

too advanced, for who. it sounds like shit. I don’t care if the song is “subliminal” this sounds exactly like Twista “Lavish”, and Pharrell is rapping exactly like he did in “In my mind”.
In Search Of… was before it’s time. I mean Brain, Tape You, Run To The Sun, Babydoll, Am I High, Stay Together, hell all of those songs are classic and groundbreaking. What the fuck is this? Shit Chris Brown could do this shit.
I know Pharrell’s people are watching the site to see wassup. Hows bout this, TRY AGAIN!

On second listen I think this may be about snorting MDMA (powdered xtacsy) because of the lapse of time, towel needed for your face line and jut euphoric natire of the song. Plus Pharrell spends a lot of time in Europe especially London where that is one of the major drugs of choice.

Like someone said the B-more sound is all over the drums. Of course there not going to do a straight up club song, they had to mainstream it and put their spin on it, but it’s enough to get heads onto that real ish.

ok…so i was a little tipsy or drunk when i heard this last night…and i had to come back to listen to it again. It’s about 110 bpm, so, being from Bmore and all, I like the fast-paced rhythm. But I don’t like it as much as I claimed to have liked it last night.
#45 and #58 are oblivious to what Bmore club really is. Bmore club spinners that are actually in BAltimore no longer play Percolator. Yall are ignorant. Get your music knowledge up. Songs like percolator and Frank Ski songs were soooooo early nineties. Modern Bmore club is completely different.
The drum machine in this song slightly reflects bmore club…but this song is NOT bmore club. You need to actually come to Baltimore to know what it is.

ps. I am a hardcord NErd fan…i bought Fly or Die twice because I broke the first one in half because i played it so much . I really thought NERD would do some “Queen”-type stuff on their next album. I liked the 70s rock influence on that last album. I liked the live instruments…i don’t think computer music works for them.
