♫ N.E.R.D. – Everyone Nose
Remember in the music news posts when we revealed that N.E.R.D. was working on new material for their upcoming album and that Pharrell was trying to conceptualize a new sound for the record? Well, here it is. “Everyone Nose” is a brand new track that’s leaked from the band, consisting of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of The Neptunes, as well as Shae. At first listen, I was slightly confused, but I actually love it. It’s loud, rude and brassy. I love the sample of the horns, the claps, the warped voice and the yelling. I think this is a great new direction for the band, which has dabbled in rap, rock, punk, R&B and alternative on their previous albums, In Search Of… and Fly or Die. Good looking, N.E.R.D. No One Every Really Dies…
Even though their MySpage isn’t as up to date as it should be, you can check them out, add them as a friend and listen to some of their old tracks from previous albums.

I think it is funny that as a producer NERD have produced some of the best selling and creative stuff for other people turning them into stars. From Mystical, to Jay Z from Beyonce to even Britney. But as artists they are too advanced for audiences they produce tracks for other people for.
They are to advanced for the average pop culture obsessed American.
Only true audiophiles will get it.
If you adore Chris Brown, Soulja Boy, Alicia Key and Mary J Blige and are not openminded musically chances are you won’t get this.

In Search Of… was before it’s time. I mean Brain, Tape You, Run To The Sun, Babydoll, Am I High, Stay Together, hell all of those songs are classic and groundbreaking. What the fuck is this? Shit Chris Brown could do this shit.

On second listen I think this may be about snorting MDMA (powdered xtacsy) because of the lapse of time, towel needed for your face line and jut euphoric natire of the song. Plus Pharrell spends a lot of time in Europe especially London where that is one of the major drugs of choice.

Like someone said the B-more sound is all over the drums. Of course there not going to do a straight up club song, they had to mainstream it and put their spin on it, but it’s enough to get heads onto that real ish.
ok…so i was a little tipsy or drunk when i heard this last night…and i had to come back to listen to it again. It’s about 110 bpm, so, being from Bmore and all, I like the fast-paced rhythm. But I don’t like it as much as I claimed to have liked it last night.
#45 and #58 are oblivious to what Bmore club really is. Bmore club spinners that are actually in BAltimore no longer play Percolator. Yall are ignorant. Get your music knowledge up. Songs like percolator and Frank Ski songs were soooooo early nineties. Modern Bmore club is completely different.
The drum machine in this song slightly reflects bmore club…but this song is NOT bmore club. You need to actually come to Baltimore to know what it is.
ps. I am a hardcord NErd fan…i bought Fly or Die twice because I broke the first one in half because i played it so much . I really thought NERD would do some “Queen”-type stuff on their next album. I liked the 70s rock influence on that last album. I liked the live instruments…i don’t think computer music works for them.

I love it. The breakdowns are amazing. Pretty complex. I don’t think they are promoting the use of “the white pony” though.
The title is “Everyone Nose”, so to me it seems like they are putting the girls who do it on front street by saying “who do you think you’re fooling?”, rather than saying it’s cool to do so. Now when you see a girl standing in a bathroom line, waiting to do the Ya-yo,her body moving like the breakdown “jungle-esque” beat in the song, and looking for a spot to cool down from being in 6th gear all night, you might just think to yourself, “She’s on some shiz and everyone knows!”
i do like the hidden somewhat hidden message and after the second spin, im kinda diggin it….Pharrell is Rockin that Princess Anne HS letterman….VA Beach Stand Up!

i agree. i think its ok. and they are really trying to re establish themselves in a really hard market. they are not young anymore, so they are tryin to find their new sound and i think folks will eventually dig this when we hear it more. who knows.. maybe they have better stuff on the actual album. i wish them all the luck, and ill go to the concert when they preform. nerd, come to seattle!!
