Detectives on Tuesday arrested a man suspected of killing a New York woman who was last seen more than seven months ago, authorities said.
Kendrick Williams, 32, was arrested in New York City after forensic tests on his car linked him to the victim, police said.
Williams was expected to be charged with second-degree murder in the death of Stepha Henry, who disappeared in May, authorities said. No body has been found.
No details are being released on the exact nature of the evidence found in the car, Miami-Dade County police spokesman Robert Williams said.
Henry, who would have turned 23 in September, and her 16-year-old sister, Shola, came to Florida just before Memorial Day to celebrate Shola’s birthday. They stayed with relatives, who last saw Henry on May 29 getting into a black sedan driven by a man. [ READ MORE HERE ]

This is truly sad. I hope he get what he deserves.
Now atleast her family can have a sigh of relief because the murder is behind bars. This happend so close to home. I hope more young ladies will learn a lesson from this and don’t leave with a guy no matter how trusting he may loook or act.It took the authorities way too long to figue out that he was the killer when he was a suspect all along. I hope her body will be found soon so she may have a proper burial. R.I.P.

This is too sad. The unfortunate thing is that her body has not been found. This is so sad. This goes back to the fact that we need to teach our youth to not get friendly around strangers. Even if you meet someone and they find you attractive, don’t get in their car. I see it here in ATL all the time. Young women see nice men and their fancy tricked out cars, and they try to “holla” at the young women, and almost 60-70% of the time, these young women, get into their cars.

Women/Men need to be espeically mindful of their surroundings and the company they keep. It seems like people don’t value life anymore. you are not the giver of life and you should not have the right to take it away. Only in self defense. I think personally when people take a life for no reason at all they should get some of the torcher they placed upon their prey. You can’t trust anyone anymore. You have parents killing the kids, siblings killing one another. All a sign of the end times. The bible states this is what’s going to happen in the last days. this is really sad to hear. i thought about her and wondered what happened bc i hadnt heard anything else about her story. my prayers go out to her family during this difficult time. there are so many domestic stories i read and hear about in the news that just break my heart. you really have to be careful out there.

I’m sure this has been going on all along with black women and the media just hasn’t been reporting on it, but I am not going to lie, this recent insurgence of Black Women being reported dead and missing is really making me afraid to date! My line sister was just recently attacked by her ex-boyfriend, whom she had not been with in 7 months. He burned her over her body with an iron, stabbed her all over, tried to slit her throat but the knife was too dull, slammed her through her dining room table, among so many other things. We thank God everyday that she lived and that the psycho is in prison. But that didn’t even get out in the media. Everyone, please be careful. Take self defense classes, get a taser or a gun. We have to fight back with this and let these psychotic bastards know that we are not going to continue to take this abuse lying down! We have not only got to ban together but we also have to individually be able to take care of ourselves. This new “Trend” has got to end.
I pray that Kendrick gets a fair trial, and if he is proven guilty beyond a doubt, I pray that God will deal him the same way the he dealt with Stepha!

Prayers for her family – at least this will give them some comfort, not knowing is sometimes worst than knowing.
Since they don’t yet have the body, I hope that they do recover her, to aid in the case and to give her family some solace.
People – crazy is real… and there seems to be much more of it lately. You need to be real cognizant of the people you trust and keep company with. Young ladies when you go out, try not to go alone, and tell somebody where you are going and who you are going with. Get details. And ain’t nobody named their son “Big Pookie”, or “Lil Man” so if that’s all the name you got — don’t go.

There are things you can do to protect yourself and have a safe date! I’m always concerned about get-aways to big cities like Florida, New York and even Mexico!
The key to trusting someone is to establish a relationship with them! Before you go out with someone, get to know them, where they work and live and “who’s their people!” One person said you should also google them! Not a bad idea!

And I’ve been called everything but a child of God because I got a bad vibe from a dude and didn’t want to go home or chill with him after knowing him for less than a day. What makes me so very ANGRY is that she’s been missing for months, and her absence barely received national attention (with the exception of the Black blogs). We are bombarded with the missing white women on a daily basis! They bring in the National Guard and FBI. Then they interview mom, dad, first grade teacher, gardener, and any other random person they can find! But we can’t bring any attention and necessary resources to the Stepha Henry’s, Nailah Franklin’s, and Latasha Norman’s???
