Senator John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, embraced the presidential candidacy of Senator Barack Obama in Charleston, S.C., saying Mr. Obama “had the greatest potential to lead a transformation, not just a transition.”
“Who better than Barack Obama to bring new credibility to America’s role in the world and help restore our moral authority?” Mr. Kerry said, speaking at a rally at the College of Charleston. “Who better than Barack Obama to turn a new page in American politics, so that Democrats, independents and Republicans alike can look to the leadership that unites to find common ground.” [ Read the article in its entirety ].
Roseanne Sounds Off

Roseanne Barr has published a tirade attacking Barack (misspelled ‘Barak’) Obama as “corporately owned” and “great for young people who are naive and iconoclastic.” She also rips into “Oprah Winfrey, beloved of women,” for “[choosing] a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience.”
“Oprah has given us Swartzenegger [sic] and Dr. Phil,” Roseanne writes. “If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama.”
In a later entry, Roseanne apologizes for “sounding like I don’t like Oprah or Obama.” She explains that she “just got carried away with [her] preference for Hilary [sic] over Obama.” Check out her rant and apology.
Richardson Drops Out

Bill Richardson ended his long-shot bid for the Democratic presidential nomination yesterday after finishing fourth in the first two contests in Iowa and New Hampshire.
He praised all of his Democratic rivals but endorsed no one. He encouraged voters to “take a long and thoughtful look” and elect one of them president.
“Despite overwhelming financial and political odds, I am proud of the campaign we waged . . . and most importantly the influence we had on the issues that matter the most to the future of this country,” he said.
Richardson, 60, announced his decision at the state Capitol, saying he was returning to “the best job in the world,” as New Mexico’s governor – a post that term limits will force him from in 2010. With the New Mexico Legislature convening for its annual one-month regular session on Tuesday, he said with a grin, “I’m back.”

Please go somewhere with that ron paul stuff! he’s a racist!
Roseane has no baring on anyone elses life. Her words are meaningless. Since she’s so against the war, I wonder how she feels about her girl sending our troops to iraq.
i think that it is very ignorant of people to “bash” candidates without supporting their claims with valid reasons. how in the world can you in one breath say “obama is a puppet” and in the next say “hillary is the best” but not provide reasoning for either reasons? #58. you sound dumb as “SCUM” the end. i wish that i could vote because obama would surely have my vote. i am a 15 year old african american woman & i think that the simple fact that obama has faith and hope makes him a lot better than most candidates. statistics and facts can only get you so far. “statistically” we should have BEEN out of iraq. says who??? the people with “experience” the fact that obama is new makes him much more appealing because hsi opinions have not yet been completely tarnished by many things that can affect choices made by people who have “experience” i believe that barak obama would be a breath of fresh air to the united states and if he stands next to his beliefs of faith and hope he will surely win this election.

Roseann is a has been , who cares what she thinks. But I do think that Mrs. Clinton got votes because she cried! If she wants to play with the big dogs she better get tuff. She is wimp. Is that what she will do when they meetings at the WHITE HOUSE; CRY
Here are the reasons why Roseanne”s “opinions” have no validity:
1. Being married to the president does not equal experience: Hillary Rodham Clinton has no bearing on running this country during the Clinton Administration because she was not the president, Bill was. Now rather or not she advised him is neither here or there, but at the same time we voted for BILL not Hillary. The only experience Hillary has is being a Senator which last time I checked was the exact position that Barack Obama has. She graduated from law school, so did Obama. So, correct me if Im wrong, but for as Im concerned they are on the exact same level for as experience. The only time you are in an presidential election and have had experience, chances are, you have already been elected in one term.
2. Oprah Winfrey can vote or endorse anyone she chooses, not because she is billionaire, but because she is just like any other American citizen who has the right to vote for anyone he or she chooses. . If she has voted or endorsed republicans in the past, so what? its her choose. She has publicly said she has voted across all political lines (democratic, republican, and independent. She is also not the be all and end all of all American women. I think women can and I know some who have made their decision on who they are going to vote for without Oprah’s assistance.
If she wants to vote for Obama just because he is black, whats the problem with that? White people do it all the time. Oh I forgot, many white people forget that they are also a RACE. So when they vote for someone of their skin color, its like whatever, but when black folks do, its a race issues. Whatever. If Oprah was going to endorse and vote for hillary clinton, people would have said “Oh, she is pulling the gender card” So what is she suppose to do, vote for an animal.
So Roseanne once upon a time, you had a great sitcom, I even like to look at the reruns, but pls sit down and shut up. Also, spare us your apologies, if anything own up to them, dont go backing down now. Woman up!
wow thats good news for Obama! im excited for him.
rosanne fat nasty trashy ass need to shut up thats all i hafta say….lolololololol white trash at its best
