When (NOT IF) you vote this November, Concrete Loop wants you to decide who to choose based on what you feel, not what the media tells you. Vote for who best reflects your personal beliefs on the issues that matter most to you.
I’ll use the results of the following poll in an upcoming entry outlining the most important issues to the CL community and where the major candidates (both Democrats and Republicans) lie on those issues.

I really dont understand why education is such a huge topic….IMO we already have a good eductional system in the US but what I dont see is a lot of parental/community involvment…we arent holding our children up to the right kind of standards….
Education is one of the last things on my list that I care about…
What about immigration..?? Do u guys think that if we kick the illegals out our ecnomy would get better???
Wow. Must not be too many teachers or former teachers in our CL world. The children must be properly educated & taken care of. With a good education, crime would decrease, children would grow up and contribute to a growing economy, not put a drain on it, children will be wise and not vote for or participate in war…GOOD education would put this country in an upward spiral
As critical as this issue is, I can’t believe you would leave off civil rights for the gay and lesbian community.
I’m torn and couldn’t pick just one.
President Bush will address the economy today in a speech.
@48
Pardon; I meant cloned animals, fruits, and vegetables.
I really like what Obama has been saying. I think its definitely time for a change. Time to break the Clinton/Bush trend we’ve been having for the last 2 decades.
Health care is a very important issue for me since I plan on working in the medical field. The United States is 37th in the world for health care. We have one of the highest infant mortality rates. This just doesn’t make sense to me. People in cuba are paying a dollar for their medications and we pay hundreds for our medications here. Our country is run by lobbyists for insurance companies and many people fail to recognize it. To improve our health care system, we need universal health care….I recommend that everyone watch Michael Moore’s film “Sicko”. It’s a really good documentary that opens your eyes to the issues going on around us.
Obama 2008!All those issues matter to me.But little by little we can improve those issues together.I think I would place healthcare first.
It’s so hard to pick just one…so I chose Healthcare. But don’t get me wrong all of the issues are equally important. Since pretty much everyone before me said what I wanted to say plus more, I won’t waste space for someone else to say something with being repetitive.
One more thing…it’s feels good to be on here (CL) on a Friday and us Blacks people are coming together for the same causes that are beneficial to us. It shows that we can congregate for something besides fooliness.
” … I really dont understand why education is such a huge topic….”
Huh? Are you serious? lol.
Maybe because all of this “good eductional system” is lost on students who are destined for failure when they can’t even get heat in their classrooms in the wintertime (DC public schools). How about teachers not gettting paid enough (NY) or having sufficient supplies to drive their curriculum (LA).
I’m not suggesting that there isn’t some level of importance with all the topics. Immigration, the economy, foregin affairs all play a major role in our daily lives. I’m just saying that there are more pressing issues on the table that have a greater long term affect. Just look at any country with a high illiteracy rate or poor educational system and see how their government runs or has run them into the ground.
ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NIETHER OF THEM ARE LESS OR MORE IMPORTANT THE COMPLETE EACH OTHER WE WONT THEM ALL TO BE INORDER OR WILL BE QUICK TO LOOK 4 ANOTHER CANIDID 4 YEARS 4M NOW BECAUSE WE ONLY FOCUSED ON ONE ISSUE
ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL OF THEM
I see ur point Ms_Mac but I think the failure of our schools has more to do @ the local and state level and the community than the federal gov’t.
ECONOMY!!!
It really sickens me that people care more about the economy than the health and livelihood of people… That is crazy!!! We should be more concerned about the rate of crime and drugs than anything… Wow, the Bible wasn’t lying about the love of money being the root of all evil…

Without a solid economic system you can’t have a solid health care system, educational system etc. because someone has to pay for it.
Did anyone care to research why the economy is the way that it is and why the U.S. is yes, headed toward a recession.
Ever heard of the FED or Federal Reserve, the people who actually create the money that is supplied to the government and ultimately your pockets, who aren’t federal at all but privately owned banks, who keeps the government in debt by loaning them more money and charging the people in income taxes to pay it back.
Look it up! People please do your research! Why is the information as clear as day on white based blogs and not addressed at all on black blogs.
The president looking to expose/abolish the Federal Reserve is the president you should care about voting for. That’s why the money is where it is. The government needs to regain control of the dollar.
Believe it or not, its happening before your very eyes and is directly effecting you, yet many people have no idea what it going on because no one cares to research it.
It’s time that we all wake up! I’ve attached a video link where more info can be obtained. Please educate yourselves or you have no right to complain.
healthcare, healthcare, healthcare……I was surprised that more people voted for the economy over healthcare…..but now that I think about it……if the economy is stable and doing very well, the more backing for healthcare, but I still would of voted for healthcare
I am glad too see that immigration is not at the top of this poll, so people like Tucker Carlson can stop talking about the black v.s brown war, it is a fabrication to break up and seperate people of color.
rere have you ever heard of the great depression?
DAKAR: The voting for this poll may be kind of skewed considering the fact that anyone in the world (non Americans included) can vote. Still, I look forward to the results anyway.
What we all need to be concerned about it the AMERO. If you don’t know about it, you need to know It’s serious.

And by the way, the rest of the world already confirms that the US IS in recession, not heading for, not trying to avert, we are in it. So much so that world markets are tumbling, it has been said that the US ecomomic slide has triggered a global recession. Our dollars are not guaranteed by gold any longer…worthless pcs of paper. Be sure to check out the AMERO, google it or something – its’ real people.

Your blog is pretty interesting to me and your subject matter is very relevant. I was browsing around and came across something you might find interesting. I was guilty of 3 of them with my sites. “99% of website managers are committing these five errors”. http://is.gd/ay65xf You will be suprised how simple they are to fix.
