POLITICS: BET FOUNDER SLAMS OBAMA
Sunday, January 13, 2008

BET founder and Hillary Clinton supporter Bob Johnson, said Sunday he is “insulted” with the Obama campaign’s latest criticism of Clinton and appeared to take aim at the Illinois senator for his admitted drug use as a young man.
“As an African American, I’m frankly insulted that the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Bill and Hillary Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues when Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood that I won’t say what he was doing but he said it in his book,” Johnson said while campaigning with Clinton in Columbia, South Carolina.
Moments later, he added: “That kind of campaign behavior does not resonate with me, for a guy who says, ‘I want to be a reasonable, likable, Sidney Poitier ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.’ And I’m thinking, I’m thinking to myself, this ain’t a movie, Sidney. This is real life.”
At a rally for Clinton at Columbia College, Mr. Johnson was defending recent comments that Mrs. Clinton made regarding Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. She did not mean to take any credit away from him, Mr. Johnson said, when she said that it took President Johnson to sign the civil rights legislation he fought for.
Dr. King had led a “moral crusade,” Mr. Johnson said, but such crusades have to be “written into law.”
“That is the way the legislative process works in this nation and that takes political leadership,” he said. “That’s all Hillary was saying.”
In a statement released by Obama’s campaign Sunday afternoon, former South Carolina State Rep. “I.S.” Leevy Johnson, an Obama supporter, said he was offended Clinton did not condemn Johnson’s comments.
“It’s offensive that Senator Clinton literally stood by and said nothing as another one of her campaign’s top supporters launched a personal, divisive attack on Barack Obama,” he said. “For someone who decries the politics of personal destruction, she should’ve immediately denounced these attacks on the spot.”
Clinton’s campaign says Johnson was not referring to Obama’s past drug use, but rather his career as an organizer and state legislator. Meanwhile, Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, another African-American supporter of Clinton, said of the comments, “Sometimes people say things that aren’t sanctioned … I can’t speak for Bob.”
Later Sunday, Johnson maintained the comments were not in reference to Obama’s drug use: “My comments today were referring to Barack Obama’s time spent as a community organizer, and nothing else,” he said in an issued statement. “Any other suggestion is simply irresponsible and incorrect.”
In Obama’s 1995 book Dreams of My Father — a book that was little read at the time, but recently reprinted — the future presidential candidate writes he was once headed in the direction of a “junkie” and a “pothead.”
Referring to his emotional struggles as a young man, Obama writes, “Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though.”
Last month, Clinton New Hampshire co-chairman Bill Shaheen resigned his post after suggesting Republicans would likely raise the issue in a general election.
“The Republicans are not going to give up without a fight … and one of the things they’re certainly going to jump on is his drug use,” Shaheen said then. “It’ll be, ‘When was the last time? Did you ever give drugs to anyone? Did you sell them to anyone?’”
Both campaigns are locked in a heated back and forth over recent remarks from the New York Democrat and her husband that have touched off concerns among some African-American voters. Clinton has alleged Obama’s campaign is distorting the remarks — an accusation Obama has called “ludicrous.”

Bob needs to SDASTFU (sit down and stfu). BET is primarily at fault for how people view African-Americans, so now he can’t sit down and party with the Clintons while trying to defame another black man’s name for their own political agenda. He’s just too dumb enough to see what Hilary thinks she’ll accomplish by trying to garner the ‘black vote’ with black on black criticism.

Bob Johnson needs to shut the fuck up. He’s a two faced ass hole. He created BET also known as the bane of all black peoples existence.
He’s the same bitch ass nigga who funded the movie “Who’s Your Caddy?” the most cooning movie ever made. The movie has been ranked as the worst movie of all time by IMDB and other reputable sources.
Talk about someone who’s always looking to bring black people down.
Go to hell Bob Johnson. Go straight to hell. Do not collect $200.

Just the fact that Obama is willing to air out hs past and admit his mistakes makes him ideal in my opinion. So often, politicians want to give us B.S images of themselves and sell us the “I’m free of sin” act. People gravitate towards those they can relate to and who can relate to them. Obama put himself out there about his past and he’s giving people the option to jump on the bandwagon with him or not, which I can appreciate. I rather get the truth before hand and not after I’ve already supported you and a year later after your in the White House all your skeletons fall out the closet.
Oh Yeah, BTW…..BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!

Agree with #5. And in addition to that, if anyone remembers the BET going away party for him, when Beyonce was shaking her tail feather all over the stage, he as a senior citizen and supposedly a “role model” stood right on that stage and said, if Beyonce would lap dance him like that, he would stay at BET and not retire. I was appalled, that he made such a comment and especially in the presence of Beyonce’s parents who are probably younger then him. So, he is in NO position to ever judge another Black man’s impression on others.

How about a nice big cup of stfu for Bob Johnson?? I don’t understand why one intelligent, educated, black man would support another. But instead supports a white woman who hasn’t done a damn thing for black people, but who riding on the coatail of her husband in the black community. Bob Johnson’s created the monster BET which has helped fuel this grostuque distortment of how others view the black race. But I say all that to say this is I respect Obama for being man enough to admit his past indiscretions and moving past them. Obama ‘08.

How low can you go? I am sorry, is this the same guy who exploits Black people for a living? Suddently he is trying to stand up and say that as an “African-American” he does not like Obama. Since when has he cared for Black people? Clinton and him are basically next door neighbors…so I guess Bob felt he should be loyal to the Clintons. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE,PEOPLE! This is all a publicity stunt! Hilary is a mess!..She is creating dirt because she’s mad that Obama is actual competition…soo she hires Sambo in hopes of him to disenfranchise Black community…Don’t yah know she is just trying to cover her dirt she said about Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy? According to Hilary, MLK and John Kennedy was not relevant to civil rights legislations….President Lyndon B. Johnson did! Just in case yah don’t know…Mr. President Johnson turned on MLK and did not support him after King said he was against the Vietnam War. BTW, so Hilary comparing herself to Johnson proves to me that she should not be in office?!?! This is bullish!…She is making women in politics look real bad , like we can’t handle the pressure! I say…Obama’08….anything less is irrelevant!

Ah…I love politics. Dont u?
Some of ya’ll need to lay off of Bob. The guy was in no way referring to Obama’s past drug use. That’s ludicrous and he’s right; it is incorrect and irresponsible. The man already said what he was referring to, which was Obama’s past as a community organizer. Why waste time attacking Obama’s past discrepancies when he’s already been so transparent about them?
So please, i understand you don’t like Bob Johnson b/c of BET and his selling of the channel to white corporations, but hey, it’s business and he didnt want to be in charge of such a huge establishment anymore. But yeah, the guy is at fault with some of the immoral viewings we saw on BET.
But Bob has a point. Obama, great guy, but y would his campaign try to make Hillary out to be a racist of some sort when she’s clearly not? Hillary was right in saying that it took legislation from a president (Lyndon Johnson) to allow Dr. King’s dream to come to pass. It DOES take the law to create equality. And didn’t King become an advocate for Lyndon Johnson’s own presidential campaign?
I wish we could have honest campaigning, but its obvious that the situation is getting tense. I hope Obama and Hillary stop attacking each other so that things dont get too ugly and eventually the two will run together on the same ticket as Prez. and Vice Prez. I dont care which is which.

Great post.
I wonder the same thing too. African Americans are a strange breed of people. Stay bitching about being disrespected when they have zero love or respect for themselves. If I was a white person looking at the buffoonery of a so called “successful African American man” in that picture, I would also assume that African Americans are dumb as rocks and have my go at them. With the state of BET and everything that it showcases of the African American community, Bob Johnson is really in no state to discuss how he feels as a black man about Barack Obama. How can he sit down and see what his channel purports and make social commentary? He needs to step up to the plate and discuss the fact that BET is helping to kill the black community before he jumps down another man’s throat for his past indiscretions. Both candidates are strong, but Hillary’s comment were wrong (I am sure she didn’t mean it the way it sounded but I mean even before anyone said anything I took it the wrong way) and Barack isn’t perfect…but I mean lets be real Bob Johnson needs to look at the damage his channel is doing and focus on that before offering his opinions.

Nomosoul, i hear but your logic as well as Bob Johnson’s doesn’t add up. It’s apparent he was speaking of something negative in reference to Barack, what could be negative about community service and organizing? How is Obama’s campaign behind these attacks? These statements have come from Hilary’s mouth as well as Bill’s mouth as well as Bob Johnson’s mouth. I haven’t heard the Obama camp respond at all prior to today. I think it is unfortunate that we as a people talk about wanting change and then when we have someonet that can offer that change we tear them down. I’m all for people choosing a candidate, but come on Bill Clinton was President not his wife. Just look at each candidate objectively and not have some silly allegiance to either of them based on nonsense (i.e. color, gender, affiliations). I think Barack Is a formidable candidate and at the very least we should take a closer look at him and decide from there. All in all Bob Johnson was full of SH**!!!! They are all backpeddling now.

But…this isnt just about black people and their own suffering b/c guess what? America is a MELTING POT and EVERYONE is SUFFERING!! Especially with this “Bush nigga” that we got in the White House destroying the morals upon which this country was built. Now, sure Obama will look out for everyone’s interest and he’s a good honest blk man.
However, i just get this vibe that Hillary would be a better executor, despite the claims that she is too divisive. Hillary is strong woman (one tear dont mean shit), she has dozens of accomplishments, she’s punctual, she’s focused. It means that Edwards knows he is losing, just like everyone else knows he is losing and wont win this campaign. And b/c of that he’s hoping to at least get on Barack’s good side so that Obama will nominate him as his running mate for VP.

But if they keep attacking each other blindly, then it wont happen.
Shit, all of this just from something Hillary Clinton said? Sure she could have said it with more tact, but damn, she was not in any way trying to offend Dr. King or his dream or JFK.

First off, Mr, Johnson, the impetus to get everything signed into law was directly because of MLK. What kind of ignorant crap is “moral vs political” crusade? Check your Lincoln history about that.
Second, umm, it is Bill Clinton, not his wife, that has the great realtionship with the black community. When Chris Tucker made that famous statement that there already was a black Pres, Hilary wasn’t there. Bill’s office was in Harlem…and I am convinced there are some sisters in his past but they are too damn smart to open their mouths…lol

To all of you who think just cause someone is black that they’re going to take care of us - think again. I work at a company with a Black HR person who is simply a house nigga. She’s getting rid of everybody they tell her to - and they’re mostly black. NoONE trusts her! And they don’t really give a rats ass about law suits. So, I’m waiting on the person who stands up for everyone. Seriously, people need to think about shit. Barack seems like a very good candidate, but so does Hillary and I don’t think she’s racist.

First off, Hillary is playing games. SHe is the one who has been going on and on about being the first Woman president, and how that will be about a change. Now she sees that no other blacks besides Magic Bob Johnson black are supporting Barack she is trying to say that he is playing the race and making it racial. I have not ONCE heard Barack say that he would make the best president because he’d the first black prez. He knows his ish that’s why he would b the best. And don’t get me started on Bob Johnson-we already know he’s a sell out-he sold BET to Viacom/MTV and now it’s gone to hell. they prob paid him who respects him anyway. Back in the early nineties BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION had not one,but two programs(BET NEWS&OUR VOICES W/BEV SMITH)that gave it’s viewers so much information about what was going on with black people, not just here in the states, but around the world. How many of you remember Madeline Woods,Tavis Smiley,ED Gordon,Sabrina Dames….Bob Johnson is the modern day George Washinton Carver in that,he has no idea what he gave away.Viacom gave him a half cash half stock deal worth 3.5billion back in 2000.Now if Vitimin Water was sold to Coca-Cola last year for 4billion,what is BARELY ENTERTAINING TELEVISION worth today….I can see light years ahead of the b.s. team-clinton is trying to pull, this is full-tilt DAMAGE CONTROL,why else whould you have a so-called black business from the neighboring state of your next primary vote Tommin’ and trying discredit Brotha O for something he put on the table from day one i.e. his PAST drug use.MRS.Tubbs-Jones was wise to keep her mouth shut, here in Cleveland we led the state in foreclosed properties and she has done NOTHING to assist on any level and we are talking 6000-7500 black homeowners that have lost or are about to lose all that they have worked for.I hope that Brotha O keeps his cool and doesn’t go negative against team-clinton because it will only hurt him with whites that support him.Brotha J,the OHIO primary is in march, and it is my hope that you and CL can get the word out as to when each remaining state will have theirs so we can get registered to vote. Here in OHIO you can go to your local library….. Thanks Bro J

Black people are some of the most foolish people on the face of the planet! We are so full of self hatred it’s a damn crying shame!!! Decade after decade white officials have been elected exclusively based on skin color and nepotism. Now after 200 years of existing as a country there is a fighting chance we finally might have a president who is not TOTALLY of white descent; Black people have a problem with it. Are we still that pig headed and ignorant to think that our fate always has to be in the hands of whites. There is theme of splitting the black vote between Clinton and Obama! Once again what in the hell are black people thinking. Ok black people wake up, Listen SHHH “white people are voting for Obama” its alright if we vote for our brother too, the master gave him a stamp of approval.

These people just flat out lie in our faces and think we are that stupid. And why the hell are they saying Obama is bringing up race as an issue? George Bush sr. 1980-92 ( Two terms of vice presidency and one term of president) Bill Clinton 1992-2000 (president) George Bush Jr. (2000-2008 President) Hilary Clinton 2008-2012 ? ) thats a possible 32 year span of political turmoil by two families! Bob does need to shut up and go to the back of the bus and shut up.
The Clinton’s have did nothing for black people but got them in trouble because of their own actions. Betty Curry and Vernon Jordon both knew that Bill Clinton was lying about him and the intern, but they lied for the Clinton’s.
Jessie Jackson knew Bill Clinton was guilty as hell during the Impeachment hearing, but that didn’t stop him for prading his pregnant Mistress on his arms to the White House to pray for his so call brother Bill who still can’t keep his zipper closed
When are blacks going to stop being used by these two racist pigs. Go to Hope Arkansas where Bill is from and has the big Library, and see how the poor people live.
Hillary is always popping off about her experience, what experience? For being a liar and enabler for Bill Clinton all these years while he tried to screw everything that wasn’t nail down?
By covering up all the deaths that her and Bill had a hand in from Arkansas all the way to the White House? Ron Brown and Vincient Forster ring any bell?

Nomosoul, of course He’s going to say that! Do some research into Bob’s business dealings and relationship with the Clintons. People at that economic level don’t do anything for free - or get to that level for free either. I’m not even mad because this sort of thing was bound to happen and as Obama picks up more delegates it will get dirtier. I’m still waiting for the candidates to offer a legit and feasible plan for the low income masses….you know…the ones they ignore until it’s voting time and they throw a few pennies. I just watched the old Eddie Murphy movie, “The Distinguished Gentleman” and I think some serious knowledge was being dropped in a film disguised as a comedy. It’s a miracle that anything gets done in this country for the benefit of its citizens versus the favoring of the few. While I do admire Obama for his intelligence it is wrong for his camp to attack Hillary just because she is white in regards to black issues. I mean the economy and the situation for blacks was at its best with her husband in office. I know this is politics but it should not border racism just to slur another’s campaign. If you win win on merit alone . The best man/woman will win in the end and it’s not a gender or race issue for me it’s an AMERICAN issue. Robert L. Johnson is simple a disgrace. Hillary..this is why America wants change. We are sick and tired of the politics of divide and conquer.
Bob Johnson stands for everything Hillary Clinton OUGHT to be against. This man single-handedly set the cause of African Americans back hundreds of years. His exploitation of Black women and girls is particularly morally repugnant.
Bob Johnson is a joke and his endorsement of Hillary is just his most recent choice that makes him an embarrassment. If Bob Johnson wants to vote for Hillary, that is his choice but to put Senator Obama down in the process is indicative of someone who would promote racial destruction, the degradation of black women and gangster culture. Bob made millions killing dreams and hope in the black community and now he seeks to do more damage by making negative remarks about a black man who obviously didn’t get his self image from watch BET (Black Embarrassing Television).

First and foremost, I need for everyone to understand this. The President of the US only has limited powers. He’s just a puppet for Congress; without the House and Senate, he’s only allowed to do so much. So, to whomever that get into the WH, they can only accomplish so much by themselves. If you think about it, and as far as I can recollect, Bush, Jr. is the ONLY President that has used his presidential vetoing power to do whatever he damn well pleased. This country needs change & these candidates can make all the promises that they want, but unless Congress approves, it’s not going to make a bit of difference.
Secondly, we need a President who has a strong domestic policy instead of a foreign policy. Bush, jr. has destroyed both!!! Right now what the US needs is a CHANGE!!! We’re tired of the BS!! Gas is too high, groceries are too high, healthcare is high, the mortgage & credit industry is out of control, it’s too damn much!! I’ve never seen an economy this worst off!! So, the incoming candidate sure better have his/her sleeves rolled up & ready to lock & load, b/c they sure have a big mess to clean up. While we’re on that subject, let me give it to you plain & simple. This incoming candidate is going to need 4yrs alone to clean up what BJr. has done and if he/she doesn’t get it right, everybody & their mother will be talking trash about how he/she hasn’t done anything right, but dang, look at the kind of administration that they are coming into!!
All that to say, Brothers & Sisters, we need to stop backbiting & tearing each other down. Grow up and open your eyes. Open your eyes to the Game that the “other” folks play. It’s ridiculous the way they exploit us, but it is even more shameful & disgraceful the way that we exploit & tear down our own!! Stop buying into this materialistic society and looking up to these celebrities. Get YOUR mind, body & SOUL right!!! Don’t put all Your FAITH in man, but in HE that sustains you.

50 Cent, Mary J. Blige & others said to be named in steroid report

Mary J. Blige
A number of entertainers were named in connection with an Albany-based steroid investigation, but are not part of an ongoing criminal probe, according to a published report.
The Times Union of Albany cited unnamed sources in a Sunday report that R&B music star Mary J. Blige, rap musicians 50 Cent, Timbaland and Wyclef Jean, and award-winning author and producer Tyler Perry may have received or used performance enhancing drugs.
Albany District Attorney P. David Soares launched a Albany-based investigation into steroid trafficking last year. Law enforcement officials have said evidence does not indicate that the celebrities broke the law. Officials are focusing on the doctors, pharmacists and clinics that provide the drugs.
Ken Sunshine, a spokesman for Tyler Perry declined comment. Calls to representatives for the musicians were not immediately returned Sunday.
Soares has declined to comment on or confirm the identities of the stars mentioned in the report. His multistate investigation has focused on Signature Pharmacy of Orlando, Fla. So far 10 defendants have pleaded guilty and some professional athletes have been linked to the probe in news reports.
Soares has said Signature was at the center of a web of businesses and doctors that illegally wrote prescriptions for steroids. The investigation gained national attention almost a year ago when authorities raided Signature. The company’s owners and the pharmacy’s operators are awaiting trial in Albany on related charges.
Records shared with the Times Union and information from several cooperating witnesses on Long Island indicate the celebrities received prescribed human growth hormone or steroids. In some cases aliases were used for their delivery.
Former Sen. George Mitchell released his report last month on performance-enhancing drugs in baseball.
The report said former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski provided steroids and human growth hormone linked to several prominent players.
Radomski pleaded guilty last year to charges that he dealt steroids to players for a decade.
Hearings are set to begin this month in Congress on the Mitchell report.
Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., introduced legislation that would make possession of human growth hormone illegal without a current, valid prescription

I think Obama is very classy for not slinging Hilary’s name through the mud. There is so much he could say about her to ruin her credibility but he’s taking the high road. If you have to put someone else down to make yourself look better, then you’re probably not the right person for the job. I am sorry Mr. Bob Johnson but you are simply a pun to the Clintons. You have allowed them to use your name for political gain. Instead of concentrating on the American agenda and what is good for the American people, you are baffling about “media distorted rebuttals that Senator Obama never entertained. This in my opinion is the type of dirty politics that the American people are simply sick off. It is apparent that Sen. Clinton cannot run a clean campaign with integrity. She feels as if she cannot win without destroying Sen. Obama with personal attacks and taking responsibility for her comments. This election should not be about race politics, but the American people. What is good for the American people? Stay focus on true issues, like the war, education, health, and jobs…. Belittling Senator Obama does not help Sen. Clinton’s agenda.

And for the records, Sen Obama is true African and White. And also for the records he was raised by “White” grandparents. Hopefully, you are not AA, with that lame comment that you just gave. If so, that is probably why you will vote for Clinton. One fact that I do know, Sen Obama is running a clean campaign and repeatedly refuses to make personal attacks against any candidate. Now, for me Sen Obama is consistant. Sen Clinton will do anything to win; even if that means usng a pun like Mr. Bob Johnson to separate the masses.

It is a shame that Hillary Clinton has to stoop so low to win. Hillary and Bill has made some very stupid comments about Martin Luther King and about Obama. And yet they blame Obama for the ignorance that is coming out of there mouth. Then on top of that, they get a very respected black man to finish what they started. The Clintons have stooped to a new low. And Bob Johnson should be ashamed of himself. Black people have always talked about wanting a black president and now we might actually have one, black people dont support him and they stand with white people to bring him down. Since when did the Clintons become the moral authority. We all know what Bill did in his past, he did drugs too, cheated on his wife, and lied to the country. But do you hear the Obama campaign bringing that up. No you dont. I’m voting for Obama in 08.

I always wondered what happened to that episode i honestly thought I just simply missed it. So they just decided to not air it all huh? Nice to know
Anyhow now that I have said that. I AM just upset that the politics are just getting so grimmey. I mean I know that politics have never been a nice easy scroll down the yellow brick road, but it just seems like things are becoming an all time low! And to be between Hilary and Obama thats just krazy! I cant believe they are throwing these kind of blows at each other. Like some one stated earlier I just hope it doesnt affect people losing sight of what the real issues are and what people are voting for! And I dont think just cuz Bob is black he should automatically support Obama. but I do think that he should have the decency to have respect for the man and not make little snide comments. He doesnt have to be PRO Obama but he damn sure doesnt have to go out his way to be Con Obama

I totally understand what you are saying…What I am saying is that for Bob to get at Obama like that was wrong…I don’t care the fact that he supports Hilary in fact I figured he did since he literally lives right nextdoor to the Clintons…it would only make sense! But for him to act as if he is the spokeperson for Black people gets under my skin…especially considering how he lead BET. I am not saying that Black people in general need to vote for Obama because he is Black….Everyone has their right to vote accordingly to themselves…I just have a problem with people disfiguring Obama’s character just to win votes from the Black community…I guess I just need to have faith in Black people that they recognize game. Personally if I think if you don’t care for Obama, look at Edwards! You would think that he would be trying to discredit Obama’s character, especially since John Kerry endorsed Obama that he would be getting at Obama like that, BUT HE IS NOT! I respect that!
BTW, I just want to make clear about the Boondocks comment I made…I am suggested that it was pull because of politics and/or business(Viacom/BET)…I am not saying that it’s true…I am just theorizing because I just find that too wierd! BTW, yah know who I be….

I don’t believe that Barack Obama has ever given us, or anyone for that matter, any reason to doubt what he is capable of doing, not only for Black American but America as a whole. Honestly It wouldn’t matter to me if Hillary or Barack won; actually they both should win: Barack Pres, Hillary Vice Pres. With the state that the nation is in now we definitely need to pull for someone who can make some improvements around here. And for those of you, who it seems just wants to go against the grain, that is constantly saying oh “I’m not voting for Barack because every black wants to vote for him because of the color of his skin,” you are all ignorant and hypocritical, come up with a better reason not to vote for someone rather than the color of their skin.

Who watches BET anyway? BET is for teens (if that!). There’s nothing to learn from BET its all crap on syndicated shows. I am disappointed in BET, they have the opportunity to be something so much bigger and the chance to educate our up coming youth, to guide our future but they don’t! We College Hill- that has NOTHING to do with College! Hell Date - no comment! The FAKE hills - no point to that show.
Basically mimicking MTV, taking all their shows and inserting black actors. It’s very shameful! BET needs to hire me because I have so many ideas that can benefit BET. Because BET has been a Joke for so long.
Anyway, I shouldn’t comment on Obama and Clinton because I am not 100% sure what either really stands up for but I will say this: Just because I’m black doesn’t automatically mean I’m voting for Obama. And just because Ms. Clinton was once our First Lady don’t mean she’s getting my vote either. The person I vote for must be qualified and share some of my morals (very hard to find politician with morals).
Let’s not waste our votes and end up with another fool for President.

It’s alright to vote for Hillary, provided that you’ve done the homework of understanding what her platform is and are comfortable with it. I support Barrack not because he’s Black, but his ideaology fits me to a tee. The problem that I have is a guy (Johnson), who puts two of his sellout cents into the equation, is an opportunity hound! Should Obama win the Presidency, watch him scurry over to Obama’s side like a wothless cur with his tail between his legs! He’ll go as far as stepping up to the podium with knee pads in hand…

Is this the same man who fired Tavis Smiley (WHO IS ONE OF THE FEW BLACKS WHO STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT IRREGULARLESS OF Consequences) lets be real he doesn’t know what it is to be black so how could he speak for black people. He is a capitalist he has to capitalize on every and all things that affect him not the black community. I can’t understand why we as black people fail to stick together. It always amazes me how white people think they can get a so called BLACK LEADER IN THE COMMUNITY and he is to act as our spokes person. If anyone can take the time to read his book Obama’s book it is very powerful, not just for blacks but for our nation. It is sad that drugs affect black communities and when someone can relate to it people act as this is something out of the norm. Do you really think people wake up and say I want to be a drug addict but it happens this is a part of list

NO, Sharpton, Young, Jackson, Johnson — Obama didn’t come to ask your permission to be who he is and run for president. That just pisses you off, doesn’t it?!?!
I was going to vote Democrat for president no matter who the nominee was, but now I’m not so sure. The Clintons seem to think that they are owed the black vote. They are making this unnecessarily divisive and by doing so are playing right into the Republicans hands.

He divorced his wife of many years to live in one of the biggest penthouse in downtown Charlotte. He has done nothing for the Black Charlotte community EXCEPT gave out free tickets for the Charlotte Bobcats in the nosebleed section. He is a cheap man. Bob Johnson is an idiot. Everything that he does is for money. Do not get me wrong, money is a good thing. But when it consumes every part of your life like it does with Bob Johnson, it is no longer a good thing. While he is discussing politics, he needs to go fix the network that he founded. The last program on the network that was worth watching was Video Soul with Donnie Simpson and Sherry Carter. At one time, BET’s news department was great. It had Ed Gordon and Tavis Smiley. Now, the news department barely exisits. All that is on this pathetic channel is shows that encourage stereotypes and degrades our race and females too. “For them to somehow suggest that we’re interjecting race as a consequence of a statement she made, that we haven’t commented on, is pretty hard to figure out,” Barack told reporters on Sunday.
Here goes the Clinton Machine and all of their supporters, (FOX, CNN. CNBC and the like) falsely reporting that this is coming from the OBAMA campaign.
Why is it being reported that this is coming from the “OBAMA” campaign when all of the comments and subsequent comments are coming from the “CLINTON” campaign and the main stream media?
* I am tired of people telling me I support him b/c he’s black when I’ve done my HW. I read his books, I watch the debates, visit his website, and watch his interviews and speeches. I also have read up on the other candidates which is why I also support Kucinich and Edwards. I support Barack b/c he has proven to me that he is the best person for the job. I don’t need the media or other blacks telling me I’m supporting him only b/c of his skin color…the man is also half white. His race has nothing to do with the large support he gets from both minorities and white people. His character and his message resonates within us. For those of us who have learned a lot about him it’s even more clear as to why we want him to win. I will not listen to the people on here or anywhere else tell me why I shouldn’t vote for him, or tell me some bull crap as to why they think the Clintons can deliver us all, especially with their negative dirty politics. The media doesn’t seem to want to address that. I’m thankful that Barack has raised the bar in politics and I hope more people LISTEN & OPEN THEIR EYES to what is really going on. I have become more and more distanced from the Clinton machine. I never supported her candidacy per se, but as a 25 African-American woman, born into a family of Democrats, I resolved myself to voting for her IF she got the party’s nomination. However, I am so dismayed with the way she has carried herself throughout this election that not only will I not vote for her if the get’s the election, but I will definitely vote for the Republican candidate because I do not want to see her in office.
If fact, she has done something very positive for me. She has made me take a good look at the Republican Party and particularly the Republican candidates in this election. I am researching them as opposed to assuming they are the villians that many young Black people were told they are our whole lives.
As a result of Hillary’s antics my vote will be a lot more informed with respect to candidates on both sides of the aisle. And if she gets the nomination that Mr. Johnson wants her to have, then my little ole’ vote will join the social conservatives, libertarians, national security conservatives, and those good ole’ Reagan and Goldwater Conservatives–who will unite not necessarily in support of the Republican candidate, but to ensure that she does not have the seat.

It’s amazing to me the number of black people who criticize other black people because they plan to vote for Barack Obama simply because he is black.
I haven’t heard one criticism of the women who are voting for Hilary simply because she is a woman. My co-worker told me plainly that she was voting for Hilary, #1:because she’s a woman; #2: because she’s the most experienced.
How many white males are voting for Edwards, Thompson, or Paul simply b/c they want to keep the presidential power in the hands of white males?
How many evangelical Christians are voting for Huckabee simply b/c he’s an evangelical Christian?
How many Mormon’s are voting for Romney simply b/c they want to see a Mormon as President?
I’m not condoning the reasoning of the voters I mentioned above, but I have noticed that black people are the ONLY ones attacking, belittling, and berating each other about this issue.

They’d rather that black people be a flock of sheep who look to them for the way they should think instead of becoming strong individuals who don’t need mouthpieces.
We need more Bill Cosbys, Corey Bookers and Barack Obamas and fewer Al Sharptons, Sharpe James and Bob Johnsons.

I believe this is how blacks kill one another. we kill each other in the streets, black brothers killing black brothers in the street, then we degrade our women by calling them whores and seeing what people like imus said which is what all or most whites think anyway. he just was more vocal publicly, but this is what they think and say in private anyway. there is nothing we can do about blacks like johnson, and those who feel like him, I would encourage every black and other people who are strong in the conviction about Obama, and not just because he’s blacks, to contact Obama’s headquarter and give your time and money to support him. together we can make a difference. I heard jesse jackson on saturday state the there were blacks who were against martin luther king, so blacks like johnson is not anything new.

Barack Obama has been a champion of improving government ethics at both the state and federal level. AND
New York Times: “A Review Of Mr. Obama’s Statements On Iraq Since 2002 Shows That He Has Opposed The War Against Saddam Hussein Consistently.”
AND LASTLY….
a quote from MY president:
“The time has come to help homeowners who are struggling to pay their mortgages, provide relief to those who were ripped off by lenders, and raise the minimum wage so working families can afford the rising costs in this country,” Obama continued. “Now is the time to put divisive politics aside and come together as a nation to solve our problems and bring about change we can believe in.”

During the Clinton administration Bob Johnson received tons of favors. When Bill was president, Johnson was a fixture at the White House. (probably slept in the Lincoln bedroom more times than Lincoln did) Now that Hilary is running for President, those favors are being called in. The Clintons do not want his financial support, they want his loud and vocal support for Hilary and his loud and vocal opposition for Barack. Hilary took a play from the Willie Lynch playbook. If she can not get all of the black vote, then why not splinter it so that it does not benefit her strongest opponent.

Some may be too young to remeber, but Bob Johnson also had serious beef with another black man witha little power and intellect. The man at the time was Tavis Smiley. Tavis had THE BEST show on BET at the time…I believe it was BET tonight or Talk withTavis circa 2000. Anywho, it was going great and Tavis had quite the influene around the circuit. Well needless to say Bob didn’t like it, he and Tavis apparantley had words and Bob pulled the plug on the show THAT DAY. Literally one noght the show was on, the next Bob was on in its time slot “tactfully” tearing down Tavis.
My point is that Bob is a house nigga that can’t take true intellectual competition. He likes, in my opinion, to be the “first black…” the “only black…” He OBVIOUSLY has coonish ways, given the direction that BET has taken. There are many like him. Many of us work with or for some. It is what it is. He is an easy make. Hiliary is a liar and a loser, with no credibility in my book. Just look up what she had to say to a crowd of hispanics this past week. She is saying and doing whatever is necessary to win. I don’t like her…and I will not vote for her. “Work in the neighborhood” historically for me has been beneficial. I think race should not play a factor period when it comes to the 08 Presidential election. We should vote for the person we feel is best qualified for the job and who we feel will help do the best job for our country (and its going to be hard for whoever will be replacing Bush period). We should not let whose supporting or whose not supporting these candidates influence our decisions at all.
As far as Mr. Johnson is concerned, he helped to bring BET down. I mean being a Black Female I’ve tried to support BET but nothing is on BET but a bunch of garbage and it has been that way for a long time. Sometimes we need to take a long hard look at ourselves before we start to point fingers at others. We are all human and ALL have made stupid mistakes especially during our teenage years and honestly once you grow up, change, and do better, and in Obama’s case has talked about it openly for everyone to know, why do others continue to bring it up in an effort to bring him down.

We are bickkering amongst ourselves, but lets analyze this thing,
1. Pres Johnson sign the voting rigths bill, which Bush probably did not want to sign, but why did he have to? Blacks in America, the country we help build is at the mercy of every other race when it come to voting. they must sign a bill every 25 years that gives us even the right to vote. other people come to this country and that right is given to them as citizens, give me a break, our fight is about the wrong thing. people love to see us fighting among ourselves, killing ourselves, hating ourselves, while drugs is been pushed into our community by who? bad loans are offered to us by who? college education is a joke to many of our hard working blacks who want to go to a school other than a black college. UCLA IN 2006 ADMITTED ONLY 96 BLACKS, we have are fight against the wrong people , and hillary and everyone else loves to see it that way.
now they accuse Obama for bringing up the race card, reverse psychology, I’m tired of it. this man(Obama) has not gone negative, but they would like for him to. let’s all try to stay above the negative, and stick to the facts, go to obama’s web site find out what he is all about, do your research on both candidates, hillary carries a lot of bagage because she has been in the game longer, she is establishment. and she has made a lot of wrong votes and choices, but for some blacks that’s okay, but it’s not okay if you are looking at obama, people are looking back to the good old days when they were better off. some act like clinton was passing out million dollar bills. people we will not be going back to those days, stop living in the past. it’s time to turn the page.

Go to this site and see which candidate you line up with most:
http://www.electoralcompass.com
The survey takes about 10 minutes and it will show you how different Obama is from all the other candidates!
==============================
Also, I really think Bob had an obligation to keep BET in the black community, but he put his own personal goals first! He sold out! Who does he think bought all those Ebony and Jet magazines? Mexicans can watch “Telemundo”, while black people have to watch “Brother Gerald’s Inspirations” all night long! Bob Johnson is just wrong!
Obviously, Johnson owed the Clintons for some past favor! Don’t be surprised if she wins and appoints Bob Johnson to some glorified position over black community relations.

#150: Obama was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 1996. In 2000, he made an unsuccessful Democratic primary run for the U.S. House of Representatives. He was re-elected to the Illinois Senate in 1998 and 2002, officially resigning in November 2004 following his election to the U.S. Senate. Obama was sworn in as a Senator on January 4, 2005.
Following the November 1978 election of her husband as Governor of Arkansas, Clinton became First Lady of Arkansas in January 1979, her title for a total of twelve years (1979–1981, 1983–1992). When Bill Clinton took office as president in January 1993, Hillary Rodham Clinton became the First Lady of the United States. When long-serving United States Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York announced his retirement in November 1998, several prominent Democratic figures, including Representative Charles Rangel, urged Clinton to run for Moynihan’s open seat in the United States Senate election of 2000. She became the first First Lady of the United States to be a candidate for elected office. She was sworn in as United States Senator on January 3, 2001.
Clinton’s talk of experience is based on her husband’s gubernatorial and presidential past; don’t get me wrong: she’s served as adviser to a lot of committees and held positions on various boards. Her elected experience, however, did not occur until she was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2001.
A friend sent me this great analogy:
In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. During this period of time she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move.
Does this sound idiotic and unbelievable to you? Well, Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified to be President and 50% of Democrats polled agreed. She has never run a City, County, or State.
When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has 8 years in the White
House, Dick Morris stated “so has the pastry chef.”

Here’s what I don’t understand in regards to this non-issue. This is the presidential electoral process for America, not black America, so why does it make a difference who Robert Johnson chooses to support? According to the Americanized negro, Dr. King “fought so that color shouldn’t matter”. Is Robert Johnson, as an “affluent” negro, supposed to stand behind Obama because he is black? I thought that the democratic electoral process was not about color, allegedly. This is what I mean when I refer to the confusion of black people and this faux “pro-black” mindset. Either you’re for your people, or you’re for America. You can’t have both because the last thing that America, any of these candidates, democrat or republican, care about is black people or the black community. The black community must be tended to and given attention like infants so that they think that they actually have a say in how their plantation is run. This is why when Clinton or Obama speak in front of a predominately black audience they both alter their diction. It’s mockery and black people are not in on the joke. Honestly speaking, this whole thing makes me laugh because most of the black people that are for Obama and castigating Robert Johnson are the same ones that would be “cooning” for Hillary if Obama was not in the race, and probably still will be if she receives the nomination for the democratic ticket. Furthermore, this proves that black people have no scope or ultimate goal for their governmental takeover of America if they cannot even handle Robert Johnson coming against Obama in the early part of this charade. Most of Obama’s laundry is going to be aired out, and if Robert Johnson didn’t stand with the Clintons, there are a long list of negroes that would take his place. In my opinion, if Hillary as a white woman is shrewd enough to stand back and coordinate a verbal or ideological altercation between two negroes so that she can emerge the winner, more power to her. It’s the American way.

Bob Johnson is such an Uncle Tom! He won’t take a take a stand on the ‘nappy headed ho’ comments, but he chooses to use his influence to attack Obama. All the while Republicans are laughing because they know this willl split the Democrat votes , thus making easier for them to stay in office. He should be ashamed of his self. Clinton is just as self -serving as any of the Republican candidates. She does not care about black people. He may want to do some research before decides top bad-mouth Obama and jump in bed with Clinton.

Although I’m incline to partially agree with you Judah on some points, I think the fact still remains that Bob Johnson was in no way in a position to throw stones, nor should he had allowed himself to be used to be a stone thrower. We know that he sold his company to white media, and now owns a ball team. Which by the way, is co-owned by a certain “ex-drug dealer” turned rapper/business man. We know this because he has said it on his records, yet he (Johnson) still pushing his product without every mentioning Nelly’s past. Nor Jordan’s who is a confessed gambler and a known womanizer.
Also to be fair, Mr. Johnson could have said “Hillary was fighting for us in the trenching, even while Bill was getting some head in the oval office.” but he didn’t. It’s what he did chose to say that has me concerned not from the political aspects, but for the ethical one. Where was Hillary’s voice after Katrina, Jena 6? If she and Bill were fighting the good fight for us, that would still be fresh in our minds and she could stand on that, but the batch was absent. Bill was a cool Pres, but we know he’s playing us, because they (both) are the masters at this type of politics. They did it first and Rove did it worst.
Bottomline, I think they went with Bob Johnson to sort of off sets Oprah’s millions and support and to show a rich nig,…I mean black man supporting them too.
I’m with OBAMA, not because he’s blacks, but because the republicans don’t give a dam about us, Hillary cares even less. Obama is the change we need to at least get the conversation started that we need to be heard and the world needs to know these fools talking about war aren’t speaking for all Americans. Plus healthcare is a mess. Futhermore, I think that Michelle Obama will do great things for women and children issues, particularly because they have young kids to consider. The others don’t have small kids. They could careless about child care, welfare, jobs, education or anything that really matters to working families, except Edwards, and he better jump on board the Obama train so he don’t miss the ticket. Hillary is running for history and to kick Bill out. We know she couldn’t leave him because she wanted to be President, but after this its a wrap, because how can you run the country when you can’t run your (White) house? While she’s at peace conferences, hell be in the back porking the help.
Let’s (The Obama) talk about restoring class, honor and family values to the White House, they (The Clinton’s) can’t run on that.

Thanks for the info. That puts the whole “experience” argument in a different light for me now.
The Deanna Favre analogy sounds like what Chris Rock said:
One of his best bits involved a sideways reference to his personal life. While discussing Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign, he mocked the notion that she had presidential experience, explaining that marriage doesn’t confer professional expertise. By way of example, he mentioned his own marriage.
“I’ve been with my wife for 10 years now,” he said. “If she got onstage right now, y’all wouldn’t laugh at all.”

I have been reading this thread all weekend in regards to t he political scene and just last night I told someone abotu how proud of the young people of concreteloop for posting this and that you guys were really doing your homework.
listen young people I am 56 years old and you are not off key at all, in fat most of you are wise beyond your years and you all seem to know game and sabotage.
Let me say this I voted for the Clintons twice and even when I heard a year ago that she might be running I had said then i would not vote for her and the reason was since she likes to use the word experience, I remembered what we “experienced” as a result of Bill being a liar, adulterer and during his impeacment hearings his whoremongering while in Arkansas. He lied to the country, showed no respect for his office or us as a people we as a people as his position or his family were the first ting on his mind. Hillary then was a ride or die wife and she still is. I said then if youtell two lies then you will tell three and even God hates a liar.
I am not voting for Hillary because a vote for Hillary is a vote for him. Yes, i forgave just like the rest of the country, but it does not mean I have to back track.
I have been blessed by God to see this day a black person having th courage to believe they could hold the highest office in this land, what is wrong with that dream????? I have two sons and I would support them, because they dared to dream and believe and to do it with integrity and character says a lot more than ability. Your abilities may get you in the door but it is your character that will get you there.
Hillary insulted me as a Christian to use to house of God for her devilish mess.
Mr.Obama is a man and it was a total disrespect to his manhood for her to notsaw anything, she knew what Mr. Johnson was up too.
She has the spirit of Jezebel and that is a deadly and evil spirit. She and Bill are throwing rocks and trying to hide their hands, just like satan.
You young people pay attention.
She and Bill have no right to say one word about Me. Obama, not one word. Because it is because of Gods grace and mercy that he was not impeached and if he had been, we wouldn’t be dealing with them today ot their mess today.
Yes, they have experienced, they are experienced at being messy and destructive with anyone who gets in their self-serving way. Since is their favorite word.
They need experience in class and tact and keeping their mouths off of other people.
My sons are voting for Obama and my 8 year old grandson has been listening to his speeches and my son is now reading Mr. Obamas book Audacity to Hope to him each day.
This is your hour to make a change and make a difference…this is your future……and your childrens, why do we have to wait before we elect a black man as President….how long do we wait. We can give our best shot.
WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!
I am proud of each of you.

It should be against the Laws of the Governing office for Families to try to monopolize the Presidencey. Next thing you know the Clinton’s daughter will have a run at the office as well. The Bushes and the Clintons would like to hand the presidency to as many family members as possible. Obamma represents a new vision- The clintons Rep means been there done that.

This comment is somewhat directed at #141 Jayla07, but more generally to many of those who responded to this post. You made a couple of comments regarding your support of Hillary, one of which you began by stating that you are a proud graduate of Spelman College.
As a proud graduate of Rutgers University (State U in NJ), and a soon to be graduate of The Howard University School of Law, I have no problem with your support of Hillary or any other candidate of your choosing. However, you have repeatedly assumed that the Obama supporters who have commented on this posting are in favor of him because of his race. That is problemmatic. I think it is unfortunate that when you wholeheartedly and unapologetically support a candidate that happens to be Black, it is assumed that you are solely supporting him because he is Black. I support Barack because I think he is a movement candidate. I think he represents more than a Presidential nominee, but a force that is diametrically opposed to what American politics currently stands for. He seems so different because he is that different.
One commenter suggested that Black people want the same patronage politics game that they have received from White politicians for years. That is, they embrace a handful of folks who do not threaten the establishment, all the while doing nothing for the masses. They passify us, not work for us.
Barack Obama (to me) is changing that specifically, but generally is pushing to change the face of politics, and will make it such that we are not dealing with the lesser of two evils, but rather moving towards a viable solution to the problems plaguing all Americans.
I also remember another post (#98 Simone) that said “Obama is too liberal,” and his politics will affect children, Christians and our economy. This person seems to be calling for is a “conservative” in Liberal clothing! This is precisely the problem. If you do not want anything to change with respect to how this society is governed then yes vote Hillary, or McCain, or Romney, or Thompson. If you want a candidate that will do little to shift the statusquo then I agree with you all, Hillary is the girl! She is the only Democratic candidate of the three that are left that supported the war in Iraq, and that will keep the troops there “until it is safe for them to return.” Those are her words, and it is political speak for “indefinitely.”
I will say this, I believe despite race Barack Obama will be good for America domestically. In addition, he is a uniter who can do much for this country’s image abroad, and I think his “extremely liberal policies” are what is needed to provide the change that this country needs.
Although I would believe this regardless of his race, I think it is his rac–in part–that makes him such a dynamic speaker, thinker, politician, and leader. You can deny it if you want to, but race plays a significant role in EVERYTHING in America. A Black man with the name Barack Obama graduating from Columbia University and Harvard Law, and making Law Review while at Harvard (do your research the Harvard Law Review is a very big deal), then working for Sidley Austin–a large Corporate law firm. Trust me, this man has been reminded that he is Black everyday of his life, and that in addition to everything else that he is, is what has shaped his politics and his worldview. Unlike many candidates who range from indifferent to the predicament of the Black masses, to patronizing, I am supporting a candidate that not only can be sympathetic towards my plight as a Black woman in America, but can also empathize with me.
I will end here, because I am sure some of you folks will motivate me to post some more of my thoughts.
Thank you all for such a thought provoking dialogue. I think this type of exchange is beneficial to us all because if we allow ourselves to at least understand the other person’s position (as opposed to dismissing it) we all can learn something. And if nothing else, hearing the opposing argument gives you the necessary ingredients with which to strengthen your own.
Peace & Blessings.

If Obama did compare himself to Martin Luther King and Kennedy, it is a very apropos comparison. He’s subliminally telling his audience that he also is a figurehead “Christ figure” with no real intent on executing any agenda outside of the one stipulated to him by his benefactors. At least Clinton and Bush are good actorswhen they enact their agendas; Obama is like a piece of cardboard. He is also a Zionist puppet of the Israeli government and the MI5. His father has ties to Al-Qaeda but it is being kept on the hush hush until the right time, if that time ever presents itself. This is why the caucasian media mocks him by referring to him as “Barack Osama” and acts as if it is a typographical error, lol. The same typograhical error made numerous times? Obama is loyal to his benefactors while the Clintons can be rebellious and are scions of the Rockeller ruling family, hence the reason why they got Bill Clinton in a compromising position with that Israeli Mossad agent Monica Lewinsky.

Personally I think Hillary’s run for President of the U.S. is Bill’s back door way of serving a third term as President. Because a U.S. President can only serve two terms as President. There should be a new law stating a spouse can’t run for President if their spouse was a former President! Hillary might have gotten my vote if Barack didn’t get nominated but I will vote republican (I kind of like Mike Huckabee (sp?) even though it dosn’t look like he will get the GOP nod) if she gets the nod.
I researched her and she has some good plans but what bothered me the most is that she fills she is intitled to the black vote and why? She has been playing dirty since she lost Iowa and I don’t like that. I’m not saying vote for Barack because he’s black but I don’t condone anybody trying to bring a possitive black man down.

You know what’s really amazing to me..
*J, Dakar, please chime in. We are waiting to hear your analysis sir..
it’s That Sen. John McClain could be the Republican candidate !!
“McCain is now the choice of 33 percent of Republican primary voters in the poll, up from just seven percent in the last CBS News/New York Times poll taken in December. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee is in second place with 18 percent, down from 21 percent in December. The biggest drop downward is in former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s support, from leading at 22 percent in the last poll to ten percent now. Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson are tied in this poll at eight percent”
But what is REALLY amazing to me is that Barack Obama won Iowa.
A Black Man won the Iowa caucus !!!!
and He almost won New Hampshire…..
Although Democrates favor Clinton over Obama, it’s only by a few percentage points
Barack Obama can REALLY win this thing…
Isn’t that exciting !!!!

# 167 I saw the you tube clip it was very inspiring. this is the affect Obama is having on America, White America, Black america, old and young.
Stay positive, after all , this is Obama’s philosphy. Just as mlk’s philosphy was non violence. of course there were people who did not want to remain non-violent just as we have people who does not want to remain positive. at least on obama’s camp we can remain positive. Obama has not gone NEGATIVE even though hillary wants people to think that he has.

You know, for all intense purposes,
Either Barack Obama or Hilliary Clinton WILL win the Democratic Nomination…..
No one else is capable of winning
*Come one, Edwards, doesn’t have a chance…It’s not his time
The next President will be either Obama or Clinton, ESPECIALLY if John McClain win the Republican Nomination
It would be great if Obama & Clinton could come to sort of agreeement…
If one of them were to win, the other would serve as Vice President.
Barack Obama for President !
Hilliary Clinton for Vice President !
If they ran their campaign in THAT particular manner, they would both be unbeatable……

–Anybody have the quote where Obama compared himself to MLK or RFK? I have heard no such thing. I watched the returns from Iowa and New Hampshire around the clock and heard or saw no such thing. Now several media pundits were beside themselves after hearing his speech in Iowa and said it was the most stirring political speech they had heard since MLK or RFK. Big difference.
It is amazing that the Democrats are the ones to bicker over this racial nonsense. Shows you that hypocrisy runs deep.

Hey there, I looked into some of the reading material we discussed. You know what I found funny? Ancient & Modern Briton was NOT in any of my city’s libraries. Not even in storage. There was a “retrospect” book available but not the actual book. They had an excerpt evailable on Amazon where you could read a random page of the book. But I must say it was a very hard read. And I’m an educated person, and an avid reader. I still want to read it but I’m going to be mad if I buy it and cant understand it at all. Where there any particular books by J.A. He is the man responsible for creating BET. BET is the most filthy, derogatory, ignorant trashy piece of shit network on TV. How can he judge Barack and not acknowledge how his creation has negatively impacted the Black community and tarnished the perception of the Black community to the world at large. If you would take time out to read my post carefully, you will see that I was in no way referring to ALL African-American supporters of Obama.
You’re a proud graduate of Rutgers right? It does not take a brain surgeon to see that many of the posters on this thread have not done their homework in politics, and are simply voting for Obama, because he’s African-American. I can justify my statement by reading some of the ignorance that’s being posted. With that being said, if Obama, “a black man”, was not running against Hillary, the majority would be in her ass…….just like they were in Bill’s!
Let me ask you this…..Do you think Hillary’s statement, referring to Dr. King, was inappropriate? I know that you of all people can answer this question with common sense and comprehension.

@ 212 You are no fool baby, You are absolutely 100% correct.
@213 You better say that.
As far as what someone can and can’t do God has the firat and final say so about that, that’s our problem now as a race, just because it has never been done does not meant it cannot be done or it is Gods will not to accomplish it, He has a timing and i believe the timing is now. Mr. Obama was not was not suppose to be running (Bill Clinton was the one who told Oprah he should not and even told Mr.Obama he should not run now because he was too young). Go figure were you all aware of that?Mr.Obama did not take his advice. That’s why they keep talking this experience mess. Gov. Richardson had more experience than all of them and had to bow out of the race????
Mr.Obama was not expected to win Iowa and he recieved the same amount of delegates as she did in New Hampshire this has never happened with any black before. His is on her neck and she is running scared and that is why she ibehaving this way no excuse, can you imagine the havoc she would cause with this prideful attitude as a leader no humility.
This is the problem Mr.Obama once again has done what no other black person has done in history, he has already made history by being the first and only black US Senator.
By the way young people we as a race have done more fot the Clintons than they have ever done for us, it was our vote that put themin office twice and we prayed and defended him whole heartedly in that Monica Lewinsky mess.
Will I quarantee you this I know someone else who will not be voting for them and that is Monica Lewinsky and her family believe that, that young lady had to leave this country to have a life and walking around here saying someone elses existence is a fairy-tale please!!!!!

Hillary Clinton’s comment about MLK wasn’t inappropriate ON ITS FACE. However it was passive-aggressive and wholly unnecessary. What was the origin of it? Why did it need to be said? What was the purpose? What was her point?
We are all familiar with passive-aggressive comments that appear innocent on their face. But it’s not hard to see that she didn’t even need to go there about MLK. What did she need to bring up his name for? She and Bill were simply responding in a knee-jerk fashion due to their shock and dismay at being routed in Iowa and squeaking by in New Hampshire (where Hillary’s 20+ point lead evaporated). They were seething so the ugliness came out and they went for the obvious: race. They think we’re too stupid to see the venom beneath slick words but we are not. If Obama had not been black, they would have gone for something else. But he is black so they put their feet in their mouths big time and showed their hypocrisy.
Bob Johnson’s comment was also passive aggressive and pointless. What was the origin of it? Why did it need to be said? What was the point? He doesn’t have to support Barack Obama but why coon against him?

Contrary to what some people in this thread may think, many of us do follow politics and do know what they stand for. I recently read a Vanity Fair article on how the Clinton’s helped undermine Al Gore’s presidential campaign in 2000. The fact is that they are ruthlessly ambitious and the plan has long been to have another Clinton White House so if it means throwing your former VP, Al Gore, under the bus, so be it. I have no problem with ambition, in fact I love ambition, but let’s be truthful here. The Clintons have a history of trampling people in their paths on their quest for power.

Monday, January 14, 2008 /
Hello everyone one of the young members of the chuch which I pastor told me about you all and this post.
I am impressed at your wisdom and your ability to discern right from wrong.
Today I have spoken to quite a few Pastors and they all agree with me in saying that first of all they would not have been sitting on my puplit, maybe front row and if he she or anyone else were to speak once they said anything that did not line up with the word of God and be founded upon the love of God we would have stopped them dead in their tracks, our pulpits are not to generate any strife but to bless people. Mr. Obamas blood would not be on our hands. I thought the church and state were to be separate and the Lord said His house was to be called house of prayer. I wouldn’t have this mess in my church and neither would they. He was wrong, she was wrong but mostly importantly the man of God was wrong for allowing this in his pulpit.
We are called to teach the Word of God and allow people to be led by the spirit of God in making decisions we are not to manipulate or control and as one person said yes she does have a Jezebel spirit. (study Jezebel in the bible its not what you wear and look like that determines that spirit in operation but what you act like.)
She is clearly all the way wrong. The earth belongs to the Lord and the fullness there of and all that dwell in it.Mr.Obama has a much right to run for office the leader of this country (and as he said himself last week he is in the will of God when he was interviewed on GMA on his bus and God confirmed it by giving him the same number of delegates and her (9)) as she does and if you know the Godly principles this nation was founded upon bibically he has more right than she does, and that’s. the word
And another thing I would be more concerned about their souls than their so call worldly positions are they even saved. I know a little about Mr.Obama and the church he and his family attends in Chicago.
Using Gods house that way to manipulate decieve and the hurt people God created.
We are truly in the last days?????
God Bless each of you and to all you students stay in school. Be encouraged.
To the young people who run this blog, good job giving the young a place to debate.

Hillary Clinton’s comment about MLK WAS inappropriate, when you place it in CONTEXT
“Mrs Clinton, trying to make a point about presidential leadership and Mr Obama’s constant references to Dr King, the civil rights icon, said: “Dr King’s dream began to be realised when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It took a president to get it done.
Mrs. Clinton made the remark last Monday as part of her latest political argument that Mr. Obama was an eloquent speaker but not a proven force for change, a description she is applying to herself.
“I would point to the fact that that Dr. King’s dream began to be realized when President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when he was able to get through Congress something that President Kennedy was hopeful to do, the president before had not even tried, but it took a president to get it done,” she said. “That dream became a reality, the power of that dream became real in people’s lives because we had a president who said we are going to do it and actually got it accomplished.”
In a combative exchange on the NBC News program “Meet the Press” during a campaign swing through South Carolina, Mrs. Clinton was confronted by the program’s host, Tim Russert, over her remark and the unflattering news coverage that depicted her as insensitive toward Dr. King. She and Mr. Obama are squaring off in the South Carolina primary on Jan. 26, a contest in which black voters may make up 50 percent of the Democratic electorate”.
241.
By the way......
Monday, January 14, 2008 /
What was wrong with Mr. Obama making reference to Dr.King???, or anyone else from that era he is goign through some of the same stuff Dr.King went through????
He never said he was Dr.King but he probably knows how he felt to have a dream and people trying to oppress you and hold you back…all because of the color of your skin…and this is all this is…..and if a black or hispanic man did what Mr.Clinton did when he was in office then their great, great grandchildren would not even been able to run for dog catcher and and they would have been impeached.

All all of a sudden the voting system need to be revap? Who has the most skeltons in their closets and who has the most famous person backing them up. We as Americans do realize that there is time for change and we really need to sit back and listen and decide which can really do the best for our country. I myself would like to see a new face, not a son or wife of a former president but someone with new veiws and ideas. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Bill Clinton as a president. He made presidents seem human. And i must admit he did a hell of a job. NOw just let someone new take the rein and see what happens. I’m only interested in the “conspiratorial” aspects of these “elections”, and current events in general, as they relate to biblical prophecy. I personally don’t believe in happenstance. I believe that things happen for a reason at all times and that any and all people in power maintain their power through the coordination of events and the misleading of the people that they rule over. It honestly makes me laugh when people use the term “conspiracy” for the simple fact that “to conspire” simply means to have a group of people come to an agreement and work together to fulfill their common goal. I mean honestly, what would one call the “European Union”, but an organization built and bent on the maintained dominance of the caucasian over the other races. The “U.N. meetings” are nothing but get togethers where the leaders of the other races are given their marching orders. If they get rebellious, they get bombed after a year of propaganda in the white man’s media. The connotation of the word “conspiracy” is something that is not the thought process of the masses and an ideology or doctrine that cannot be corroborated or proven. By that connotative definition, it’s a “conspiracy” that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, but American people still say “God Bless America”, lol. When you have the knowledge of how wicked these people are, but you are not humble enough to deal with the Most High, insanity is right around the corner. No disrespect to you, but I’ve never seen a black man that calls himself “Yusef X”, that so willfully engulfs himself in this political system, let alone be a shill for a diversion like Ron Paul. You come off like a bugged out white man desperate to save the last inkling of your empire, lol. If you are a black man, brother, you need to raise your level of thinking to include the Most High. You have a muslim name as your screen name, but I’ve never seen or read you cite the Koran or anything of relevance to what you project yourself to represent, other than your insistent stomping for a man that you know damn well will not win the upcoming election.

Cmeez & Judah, did you read this (posted by the new riter here on ConcreteLoop J.Dakbar).
It’s listed in that post about 50 cent on steroids.
Cmeez, maybo you can find all the books your looking for on either
Cushcity.com or MosaicBooks.com (I found Ancient & Modern Britons on Amazon)
“Three Largest Black Book Sites Join Forces to Promote Black Literature
AALBC.com, Cushcity.com and MosaicBooks.com, the three largest and most established web sites focusing on black literature, announced today that they have joined forces to offer comprehensive online book promotion options to self-published authors and small publishing firms.
Together, the three web sites have over 30 years of combined online presence and over 4 million page views per month. Each site brings different strengths to the venture.
AALBC.com, founded by Troy Johnson of Harlem, N.Y. in 1998, is now the largest website dedicated to promoting books by and about African Americans.
Cushcity.com, co-founded by Willie and Gwen Richardson of Houston, Tex. in 1998, is the world’s largest African-American Internet retailer with over 20,000 products online, including books, DVDs, Greek products, calendars and art.
MosaicBooks.com, founded by Ron Kavanaugh of the Bronx, NY, in 1996, was the first site created to showcase African-American literature. It recently celebrated its 10th anniversary online.
“This effort brings unprecedented exposure to millions of African-American book readers worldwide,” says Johnson. “I am pleased to work with Cushcity and MosaicBooks to bring African-American authors and consumers together.”
The three sites will initially offer self-published authors and small presses simultaneous, prominent placement on each of the three sites’ home pages. There are also plans to expand these coordinated services in the future to include e-blasts and other marketing opportunities for authors.
The announcement comes on the heels of recent news reports highlighting the growth in the number of African-American titles published annually and the resultant increase in book sales revenue. Based upon book sales figures for 2006 released by the American Association of Publishers, African Americans spend about $1 billion of the estimated $24 billion spent in the U.S. annually on books”

My mother has had a long dislike for Hillary Clinton and I always disagreed with her. i was all set to vote for Hillary if Barack lost, because 1) I didn’t have a hugely negative view of her and 2) I thought a democrat, any democrat, would be better than a republican at this point.
But now I don’t know what Hillary could do to get my vote. I’d rather abstain or cross party lines. My mother always said to watch out for certain white liberals because sometimes they can be more racist than the KKK — just slicker with it. I’m starting to see the veiled insults and I hate the condescension. Reminds me of the kids I went to school with — all smiles until I started kicking their butts with my grades, LOL.

Praise the Lord Pastor!!! Great points about the church and state! I guess its true that everyone sitting in the pews are not God’s children! And yes, the “Lord said His house was to be called house of prayer.” But, people try to turn it into a den of theives! Thankfully, He said the gates of hell would not prevail!
I’m glad you mentioned Obamas beliefs, because the southern states are gonna play a big role in this election! And, you know how the belt is in the south! Southerners have the gift of “knowing”! That’s why it was so easy for MLK to cut right to the chase and appeal to the core of southern whites!
As you visit this site, you will discover that there are people from all walks of life. Please don’t get offended by some of the “Judases and Jezebels” who spread their brand of confusion and “use God’s word to minipulate, decieve and hurt people God created.”
Again, I say greetings, honor and respect to you!

I’m disturbed by a line of argument developing in some of the comments that seeks to discredit black voters who vote for Obama “just because he’s black.” Let’s tease this one out shall we?
A white person who votes for Clinton or Edwards or any of the Republican candidates would never be accused of voting just because the person is white. A candidate appeals to a group of voters cause they seem to have their best interests at mind. Whatever a white person might decide is a reasonable factor for a candidate taking care of their interests would never be mistaken as a white person simply voting for a white person because they’re white. And yet white people vote for white candidates all the time.
However, when a woman votes for Hilary, or a black person votes for Barack then and only then does a line of argument of this nature ever come up. Why is that? Some people vote for Democrats just cause they’re Democrats. Is that also wrong? Some people vote for candidates because they come from their state. Others may decide upon a candidate cause that person just happened to show up at their local church or attended an event of an organization they support.
The fact is that there are a myriad of reasons that a person may base his allegiance on any candidate. These reasons are quite various, sometimes slanted to personal biases, and often considerate of a number of different factors, but sometimes not. I think the real WRONG here is to deny anyone the privilege to base their vote on ANY reason or reasons at all even if these reasons don’t seem logical, significant or reasonable to you. There will always be some voters who base their decisions on more factual, well-thought out, objective reasons and others who will be motivated by more subjective, emotional or even spontaneous reasons. Everyone has the right to vote for whatever reason in whatever manner they decide and because of that I think it is unfair to ever say, “It is wrong to vote for… just because…” You fill in the blank.

You’re not going to find that book because that book contains our REAL history. You must go onto Amazon.com. Bookstores like Barnes&Noble are weak. They have that “afro-centric” stuff which is meant to purposefully throw our people off with false pride built from false history. That book, Ancient & Modern Britons is essential though, both vol. 1&2 for you and any black person who is serious about understanding our true history. Mind you, it was written by a white man in 1885. It goes into detail on the origins of the so-called “germanic tribes”, i.e. the Vikings, Huns, Scythians, Franks, Goths, etc. and how they were negroes. That is important information because it was these people that eventually conquered the Romans and took over Europe. Next time you watch a football game, if you watch football, notice the mascot on the Minnesota Vikings helmet. The white man depicts the emblem as a caucasian man but he has braids coming down the sides, lol. The term “blackmail” comes from when the Vikings would conquer a town and extort them or make them pay tribute. The people would say that they had to deliver the “mail” to the “black men”. The white man mocks this time period in European history by calling it the “Dark Age”, which is a play on words because this is when the blacks ruled. All those kings, queens, and princes of the medieval period were the blacks while the white man was reduced to what is known in the white man’s HIS-tory books as the peasants, serfs, and slavs (which is the genesis of the term slave). Look up Slav and see what it means. Note that when the white man came back into power he refers to it in his books as the “Renaissance” or rebirth of Greco-Roman ideals.
J.A.Rogers is also excellent and you should read “Nature Knows No Color-Line”, “Sex and Race” (all three volumes) which tell you with empirical proof that Beethoven and Franz Joseph Hadyn were black men, and “Africa’s Gift to America”. Those are very good starts.

It’s a funny thing
I was all for Hillary Clinton up until about 2/3 weeks ago.
I was laying in bed, late @ night about 2:30 - 3:00 in the morning watching a clip of her giving a speech on TV.
I immediatly had a dislike for her at that time while she was giving this speech.
She was speaking to a group of Black People, and her entire facial expression, the tone of her voice, her vocal cadence had changed.
it’s almost like she was trying to talk “black” for the negro people watching her.
If there’s one thing in this world I can’t stand, it is a phony white person.
Mark my words.
Listen when Hillary Clinton gives a speech to a group of Black People.
If I close my eyes, I can hear my 6th Grade Teacher (who was caucasian) trying to be down with the black folks by talking black.
I didn’t like it then

Judah…I have read the book, “Nature Knows no color line”…and I agree with many of the things you’ve said.
The Rockefellers, the Rothschilds but also the Morgans and other powerful rulling families rule this world. The Illuminati have established worldwide networks which have essentially made up a secret government on this planet. These networks include the Trilateral Commission, the Council of Foreign Relations and the Bilderberg [or Bilderberger] Group. These organizations are Illuminati front organizations and make up a world secret government, completely undemocratic and fascist and support super capitalism.
In fact the Illuminati own 97 per cent of all the western capital assets and thus control the Military-Industrial-Entertainment Complex of the Western world. The evil international media baron Rupert Murdoch is bankrolled by Chase Manhattan which is owned by the Rockefeller family who also owns the biggest company in the world, Exxon Oil. The Bush family is, of course, intimately linked to the Illuminati through years of deals and negotiations. The Bush Administration’s drive into Iraq is mainly the work of the Illuminati.
But, Judah…with all that said…I believe people are becoming more aware…people are becoming more knowledgeable…with that, change is inevitable.

Every year, the Bilderbergers hold a super private meeting. I believe a few years ago, it was held somewhere in Canada. Admitted to those meetings are the heads of states, prime ministers, queens, and top senators of the world. It was reported, Hilliary Clinton was one of the attendees at this meeting, along with Tony Blair, and the current Canadian Prime minister. It was said, these meetings were striclty for the appointment of New Presidents, and Prime ministers.
If this holds true, then Hillary Clinton will be the next President Elect….

He’s considered the most liberal of all the conservatives and was recently quoted as saying that, “There have been times where I put the country ahead of my party, and I will continue to do that as president of the United States.” That statement/sentiment really says a lot, whether rhetoric or reality.

Just now I heard Chris Matthews on Hardball call Bob Johnson “brilliant” because he is a billionaire. Does this mean M.L.King, Jr. and Malcolm X were fools because they died (for all practical purposes) broke?
Both Matthews and Johnson (an honorary white racist given his BET exploitation of Black youth) underestimate the intelligence of Black folks, Matthews because he keeps mining a “non-story,” and Johnson because he expects us to believe he wasn’t referring to Obama’s youthful flirtation with cocaine.
We’re smart enough to know that Hilliary and Bill were not dissing M.L.King, and we didn’t need johnson to explain what they meant. We’re also smart enough not to vote for Hilliary because she’s a woman or Barack because he’s Black.
For the first time, we Black people have a real choice when we vote. I haven’t decided between Hilliary and Obama yet. But, I can guarantee you this: my decision won’t be based on television talking heads or stupid remarks made by either of their supporters, it’ll be based on who best addresses issues of importance to my family, my community, and me as a citizen of the world.

To often money distorts people — and if nothing else, he needed to understand that the Clinton camp needed a prominent Black person to parade out - esp. after Obama rec’d Kerry’s nomination.
They needed a brother to lead the parade, and Bob Johnson got played as the Grand Marshall…..

This is for those of us who know Barack Obama for who he really is: A two-faced and extremely partisan opportunist.
He was made popular for one reason and one reason only. That being a speech in which he gave lip support to bipartisanship, but Obama himself is anything but bipartisan.
His voting record is party line democrat on the issues that really count. The misinformation about this man is a travesty and this group is for those people who wish to right this wrong.
So the next time you see some pretentious jerk flaunting an “Obama for President” sticker, let them know the truth. Someone has to do it.
ATTENTION ALL CHICAGO OR COOK COUNTY RESIDENTS:
BARACK OBAMA PUBLICLY ENDORSED TODD STROGER for the 2006 elections, a man who the public DID NOT EVEN VOTE FOR during the primaries, and who has already been tied with scandal since he took office as the Cook County Board president.
HE HAS ALSO ENDORSED MAYOR RICHARD M. DALEY FOR REELECTION, A MAN WHOSE NAME IS SYNONYMOUS WITH MUNICIPAL CORRUPTION.
If you think that Obama will stand up to corrupt politicians, THINK TWICE. He has already proven to be a sheep to the Chicago Democrat Machine, and that is nothing compared to the Wahington Beltway.
He is a democrat tool, not the independent “bipartisan” fresh face that he pretends to be.
All I ask is that you think about what you value, look up what and who Obama supports and think: Will he uphold the kind of government you deserve?

The Obama campaign recently prepared a detailed memo, obtained by the Huffington Post and made public elsewhere, listing various instances in which it perceived the Clinton’s campaign to have deliberately played the race card in the Democratic primary.
The memo, which can be found below, is organized around five incidents in which either Clinton, her husband Bill, or campaign surrogates, are said to have made comments that could be interpreted as racially insensitive.
SHUCK AND JIVE
Clinton Supporter Andrew Cuomo, Referring To Obama, Said “You Can’t Shuck
And Jive At A Press Conference. All Those Moves You Can Make With The Press
Don’t Work When You’re In Someone’s Living Room.” Clinton-supporting New
York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said the thing that’s great about New
Hampshire is that you have to go out and meet people rather than “shuck and
jive” through press conferences there. Cuomo said of New Hampshire on an
Albany radio station: “It’s not a TV-crazed race. Frankly, you can’t buy
your way into it. You can’t shuck and jive at a press conference. All those
moves you can make with the press don’t work when you’re in someone’s living

MARTIN LUTHER KING / LYNDON JOHNSON COMPARISON
Clinton, Criticizing Obama For Promising “False Hope” Said That While MLK
Jr. Spoke On Behalf Of Civil Rights, President Lyndon Johnson Was The One
Who Got Legislation Passed: “It Took A President To Get It Done.” Clinton
rejoined the running argument over hope and “false hope” in an interview in
Dover this afternoon, reminding Fox’s Major Garrett that while Martin Luther
King Jr. spoke on behalf of civil rights, President Lyndon Johnson was the
one who got the legislation passed. Hillary was asked about Obama’s
rejoinder that there’s something vaguely un-American about dismissing hopes
as false, and that it doesn’t jibe with the careers of figures like John F.
Kennedy and King. “Dr. King’s dream began to be realized when President
Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act,” Clinton said. “It took a president to

personal turn, with the New Hampshire co-chair for Clinton, raising the
youthful drug use of Obama. Shaheen said Obama’s having been so open — as
opposed to then-Gov. George W. Bush, who refused to detail his past drug use
during his 2000 presidential campaign — will “open the door to further
queries on the matter. It’ll be, ‘When was the last time? Did you ever give
drugs to anyone? Did you sell them to anyone?’” Shaheen said. “There are so
many openings for Republican dirty tricks. It’s hard to overcome.” By the
end of the day, Clinton campaign spokesman Phil Singer had issued a
statement asserting that “these comments were not authorized or condoned by
the campaign in any way.” And Shaheen himself issued a statement: “I deeply
regret the comments I made today and they were not authorized by the
campaign in any way.” [ABC News, 12/12/07]
Mark Penn, In Trying To Defend His Campaign Over Bill Shaheen’s Obama Drug
Use Comments, Used The Word “Cocaine,” Drawing A Rebuke From Edwards Adviser
Joe Trippi. Mark Penn, defending the Clinton campaign in light of Bill
Shaheen’s comments about Obama’s drug use, repeatedly referenced Obama’s
cocaine use. Edwards adviser Joe Trippi accused Penn of dropping the word
“cocaine” deliberately. Mark Penn said “Well, I think we have made clear
that the — the issue related to cocaine use is not something that the
campaign was in any way raising. And I think that has been made clear. I
think this kindergarten thing was a joke after Senator.” Joe Trippie
responded and said “I think he just did it again. He just did it again. …
This guy’s been filibustering on this. He just said cocaine again.”

FAIRY TALE
Donna Brazile Lashed Into Bill Clinton For Comparing Obama To A “Fairy Tale”
And Said “It’s An Insult… As An African-American” And That His Tone And
Words Are “Very Depressing.” Donna Brazile lit into Bill Clinton over his
insulting comments of Obama, where he called him a “fairy tale” and said “I
could understand his frustration at this moment. But, look, he shouldn’t
take out all his pain on Barack Obama. It’s time that they regroup. Figure
out what Hillary needs to do to get her campaign back on track. It sounds
like sour grapes coming from the former commander in chief. Someone that
many Democrats hold in high esteem. For him to go after Obama, using a fairy
tale, calling him as he did last week. It’s an insult. And I will tell you,
as an African-American, I find his tone and his words to be very depressing.
… I think his tone, I think calling Barack Obama a kid, he is a United
States senator.” [Politico, 1/8/08]

Its amazing. Pat Mc Cory the Mayor of Charlotte (a white mayor) did not want Bob Johnson to bring a basketball team to Charlotte- The Bobcats. as we all know basketball is so stereotypical because of the association of Black men and basketball. Well, Bob then decided to flaunt his money to pat Mc Cory’s face. Later, Pat Mc Cory accepted it. This is why Bob did not draft any heavy hitters in his team they are all inexpensive inexperience gym rats( except Jason Richardson from Golden State Warriors)…Bob is pathetic…The only reason why Charlotte bobcats got him because Michael Jordan runs the team)…Bob is nothing but a Clarance Thomas… A sellout…

the sad thing about that is how many people actually read, and fact check candidates. We just take politicians at their word, and usually their words are a lie, or at most muttered.

Obama is for postpartum abortion. AKA killing live babies 24 hours after birth
“When you get right down to it,” the Illinois Senator said before an audience at the recent Stem Cells R Us Annual Convention, “What difference does two or three minutes inside or outside the womb really make? One’s ‘late-term’ and the other’s ‘postpartum.’ Who’s to say if the postpartum fetus is truly viable? Postpartum fetuses die all the time for all manner of reasons…”

The comments by Bob Johnson don’t surprise me at all. You know its funny that every black supporter Hilary Clinton has are the people who profit unmercifully on the black community. From Bob Johnson’s “caricature” of a black television station to Magic Johnson’s “enter at your own risk” movie theaters and tgi.fridays. Neither of them care.
Obama has my vote and I sincerely hope that he infuses some of Ron Paul’s ideologies into his office. Ron Paul would be the candidate of choice, he would like to dismantle the three organizations that have been to the most detriment to black communities not only in America but worldwide. The CIA, IRS and the FBI….. he just can’t win due to a media blackout.

Obama: Stand Up Against People Peddling Bad Info
Email
Share January 14, 2008 6:54 PM
ABC News’ David Wright, Andy Fies and Sunlen Miller Report: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., held a hastily called press conference in Reno, Nevada on Monday because he was “a little concerned about the tenor the campaign has taken in the last couple of days.”
The Democratic presidential candidate made clear that he wants to stay above the fray with the back and forth between the candidates, “I don’t want the campaign in this stage to degenerate into so much tit for tat back and forth that we loose sight why all of us are doing this.”
Obama spoke about his Democratic opponents in a favorable light, “And you know I think over the last couple of days you’ve seen a tone on the democratic side of the campaign that is unfortunate and what I want to do is stipulate a couple of things, I think that I may disagree with Sen. Clinton or Sen. Edwards on how to get things on how to get there but we share the same goals, we’re all democrats , we all believe in civil rights, we all believe in equal rights. We all believe that regardless of race or gender that people should have equal opportunities, I think they’re good people, they are patriots and they are running because they think they can lead this country to a better place.”
The Senator put out a semi-challenge to other candidates to stand up against people (even supporters/surrogates) that peddling misleading information, “If I hear my own supporters engaging in talk that I think is ungenerous or misleading or in some way is unfair then I will speak out forcefully against them and I hope the other campaigns take the same approach. We’ve got too much at stake at this time in our history to be engaging in this kind of silliness and you know I suspect that other candidates may feel the same way.
Obama, just six days away from the Nevada caucus, still had to field questions from his devastating New Hampshire loss, after most polls had him winning by a wide margin, “that didn’t quite work out the way everybody thought, so if I ever put any stock in polls, that ended it.”
When asked if the loss in NH was due to the suggestion that perhaps white American and Hispanic America is not ready to elect a black president, Obama dismissed the notion, ” I don’t’ think that’s what was going on….as I understand it, basically there was a big shift in undecided’s going towards Sen Clinton, particularly among women in the last minute. And keep in mind there was a big gap, a gender gap that cut both ways - I won among men and she won among women -there were more men than women who voted. If it had been a racial issue, there’s no reason why that would have been something that was unique to women as opposed to men, so I don’t’ think that is the case.”

To MOTHER (above): To date, not one, but four African Americans have served as United States senators. In 1870, Hiram Revels of Mississippi became the first African American senator. Five years later, Blanche K. Bruce , also of Mississippi, became the second. In 1967, Edward Brooke of Massachusetts , and in 1993, Carol Moseley- Braun.
Last night, Obama and Hilliary each made conciliatory statements aimed at ratcheting down the rhetoric. They know, as discriminating news junkies do, that there is little difference in their positions on race and gender. Obama even spoke of the Clinton’s long history of being “on the right side of civil rights issues.”
This dust up over M.L. King is a tempest in a teapot and is playing right into Republican hands. Al Sharpton had it right: they’re not running to fill Martin Luther King’s shoes, they’re running to fill Lyndon Johnson’s, meaning what do they specifically propose to address race and gender issues in this country. Where is their Great Society?
Many of you have posted well written, thoughtful comments above. The problem is you’ve based much of what you’ve said on inaccurate news accounts. If you didn’t hear a candidate say something, and you don’t know the context, find other accounts and compare. So-called legitimate news outlets like MSNBC, CNN, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post blur the lines between news and opinion almost as often now as that disgraceful FoxNews.
Almost every slap against Clinton mentioned above is based on half-truths, inaccurate or out of context quotes, or slanted stories. Young people, learn to identify biased reporting whether it comes from the left or the right. Seek out trustworthy journalists like John Riddley of NPR. Google him, and see what this principled young Black man writes.
Tonight, watch the democratic debate for yourself. And listen to the news jockies when its over, and you’ll wonder if they were listening to what you were.
Right now I’m listening to Morning Joe on MSNBC. Joe keeps referring to the “race war” going on in the democratic campaign. What “race war?” They say it often enough, and the public gets duped.
Obama isn’t a coke fiend, and Hilliary isn’t a racist. But neither has outlined specific policies that address the kind of systemic change that prevents a future Jena Six, or lifts the poorest Americans - single Black mothers - out of poverty. Which one has a plan to get our families back in homes in the Lower Nine in New Orleans?
These are the kinds of things that oughta be raised by Black news outlets on the internet. Google them and you’ll find comment after comment on Zahara Jolie-Pitt’s hair, but nothing about her daddy’s phenominal Make It Right Project.
Folks, these are serious times. Enough of the bullshit semantics skirmishes. We got real problems that require real solutions. Let’s not get rope-a-doped by rhetoric as we have in the past.

What about Whitewater! and the other scandals during the Clinton administration. This is how they do it, they instigate another black to diss another black because we love to do that and I bet she did’nt have to pay him or make any promises to him to get him to do it. I stand corrected but what I meant was is that as a US Senator whether he is fifth or six, living in t his country and being a black man or boy I ma quite sure he has heard more than once what he was incapable of doing. I still applaud these young people, they not dummies and they have instincts and the most part street sense.
I am not going to speak about Mr.Obama, because I think he is a stand up kind of guy he is real. But I will say Hillary may not be a racis???, but what she has demonstrated to me is that she is a manipulator, shelf serving, even in looking at this picture in my spirit she does not look like the first lady of this country. She keeps talking about experience well someone expecienced in values and integrity sould have shut him up and I believe she was aware of what was going to be said because as they so clearly eluded to last night she and Bob Johnson are very close friends and it would be difficult for her to separate herself from, since you say she is so smart, I agree so that means she is no fool and she is well aware of what she is doing.
By the way I voted for the Clintosn twice and not again, you all can talk until you a blue in the face I have an eight year old grandsone who goes to a very good school and just last week he was told by one of his classmates that his dad said the black people could not run this country because they are not smart enough, and the child said it to my grandson who has skipped 2nd grade and is 8 in the fourth grade, and the school is one of the finest in Fairfax, Va, my oldest son has a PHD and works at the Pentagon in Washington so we are not fools, okay. We know how to make sound decisions and if we don’t we know how to pray and ask God for wisdom. Another thing when my daughter law left that principles office the next day she left with document which insured 50% discount for his next years tuition, and they promised he would never hear that again from any child or student or they would be dismissed.
It’s time for the young-uns to make their own decisions and I applaud and encourage them the legens have had their time.
By the way if you respond back, I will not answer. I have really had enough of Hillary and Bill. They both have been wrong and insulting and very condescending and just plain out and out disrespectful to another man. I would not want anyone to treat my sons or granson that way and if they did i would loose respect for the.
I have decide after this to concede with Mr. Obamas wishes in statement here and not go tit for tat. Thank you.

Who is it that watches Keisha Cole show? Black folks.
Who is it that has the audience filled on 106 and Park. Black folks.
I personally believe he messing with Keisha Cole or her mama because Bob Johnson trashy enough to do so.
It’s black folk that has kept them on the air, not Hillary or his crowd and he got the nerve to dis a grown black man, on the streets he would have gotten his you know what kicked, and he dissed him in front on on the behalf of a white woman.
Bill and Hillary must have promised him a kennedy honor and standing dinner invitations at the white hous when they are re-elected.
I agree with what some one previously said there should be a law against a woman running when her husband has once been president.
This is nothing but political sabotage and I would be too afraid to give them this much power, she is a fool already.

I think exactly what the Clinton’s wanted to happen is happening. When he started calling her out on her experience and calling her out on some other lies she has told that is when this story came up. When he started getting endorsements from big time unions and other top notch politicians this mess comes up.
Don’t fall for this. Black people stop thinking you owe the Clinton’s anything. Bill Clinton was the president of America. He did not do anything that he wasn’t suppose to do. It is a privileage for any politician to get our vote not a privileage for us to vote for them. Also, it is Hilary running not Bill and I think everyone keeps getting that confused.
We have to start taking responsibility for our communities and work with politicians. We also have to let them know what we expect for our votes. I find it really strange that the 50 and under african-americans are all for Obama, but, the people of the baby boom era is attacking him. I think that all of these black politicians that are doing this to him better remember that they too will run again. I think true character is beginning to show.
Let us keep the issues at the forefront of this election and lets not get caught up in this mess. I don’t think for one second that this is about the black vote. I think that this is about the white vote. I do believe that they expected Obama to get some of the black vote and even some of the hispanic vote, but, I don’t think they expected so any white people to go with him. That is what scares them. And, I do believe if they had to do a recount in New Hampshire that that would change.
Wake black America and move to the future. It is okay we can vote for Mr.Obama he is a good candidate.

He is a good candidate. I showed my grandmother this post with the pic and she said Hillary looks like a ___ fool and she said she must be loosing her mind.
My grandmother is 78 years young with good mental faculties, and in good health she taught school for nearly 40 years.
She sat me down and talked to me seriously she said baby you young people need to know this is your time she said yes I voted for the Clintons bothe times but she said that was another time, she said you we are not to look back she said the bible says remember Lots wife, she said I am not voting for the Clintons again because I have gone to the Lord and she said the spirit of the Lord has told me don’t go back, she said its time to move forward, she said the decision you young people make will effect you and the next generation.
She said I am going to pray for Mr. Obama and his family but she sid I feel so strongly in my heart that this is a chance for you young people to make history, she said and you can do this.
She said he was loose Iowa and she said people telling you all he lost NH she said pay attention to the delegates Obama has 9 delegates and Hillary has 9 delegates, she said you all can do this, she said yes you can she said this is your future on the line.
She said if his running did not mean anything thing Hillary and Bill would not be so nasty towards him she said if the Lord see fits that I live I am going to vote for this young man, she then said I am so surprised at Hillary she is acting like an alley woman not a woman who could possibly run this country.
She said the church has to really pray and she said that is probably the only time she set foot in a black church just to get votes,
337.

Yes, we should boycott BET.
No one seemed to mention the fact that when Oprah and others stood to speak on Obamas behalf they did not mention anyone’s name they spoke with class and style, I was impressed. Oprah did not trash anyone she eloquently said why she was endorsing Obama and Kerry was short and to the point as well as the Gov. of Nevada, maybe that’s what made Hillary angry because this Gov. said she wrestled with whom to endorse but she had to go with Obama because its time for a new whitehouse, its time for change.
I still don’t understand why Hillary would do this and Mr. Johnson would disrespect a black man this way in front of and with a white woman, maybe its because he has money and has forgotten the struggle.
For years we have been talking about a black person running for president and now we have one who is gualified he may not know everything but as any one else does we grow as we go I believe he is the one for the job this is no coincidence that he is running now.
The Clintons aren’t thinking about our young children their daughter is grown, Mr.Obamas understands, his children are still young and he will care about issues concerning our youth and I believe he really wants to help people he seems so sincere.
This is not a hard decision for me and as the previous post said about going back I thought about that too, I felt uneasy about voting for someone I had voted for before and they are already out the white house why would I put them back in,it felt like I was going back, just never felt right. Thank you for this post.

This discussion - and i’ve only read through about the first 10 - is surprisingly consistent on on target. Other media outlets are skewing toward this point of view in contrast to trying to be impartial. There has been too consistent a theme of surrogate foot-in-mouth disease, all of it from the Clinton camp.
I want to get it out there because I have not yet seen it in print or have i yet heard it on the broadcast media, but it seems to me that its quite obvious that the design of the Clinton offensive, in the form of her Martin Luther King references was to equate Obama to, at best, an eloquent orator, like King who needed a president to move the pen across the paper to turn acts into law. That was an indelicate metaphor, but very clear to me. Her camp needed to dullen some of the luster of Obama’s edge in the oratory department. The indirect assertion, however, was to suggest that Obama is, at best, an orator, which also says indirectly that his aspiration to be president is nearer to the likelihood of former rhetorically blessed presidential aspirants of African American descent - Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton - than it is nearer to an actual possibility. Thats the true unsavoriness of the Clinton campaign’s offense.

I watch it very little and it would not be a problem for me, the few times I have had it on I flip the channel, no substance and they favor certain, my friend said she believes Bob is messing with Keisha Cole or her mama (joke).
This is a shame and that picture of Hillary does look sick no class, no grace, looks like poor white trash I pray she never represents this country. I tell you this if she is the nominee, then the republicans can have it because I am not voting for Hillary ever I swear before you and God almighty because if she gets in and there is some mess and I believe it will be and she and Bill gives black folks her you no what to kiss, I can hold my head and say I not put them there.
I believe a lot of these women are single, some are lesbians and they are into this womens lib mess and they hate men and they think a woman is going to do something great for the, stupid all Hillary wants is your vote.Hillary don’t give a flip about you all you bit the bait when she cried, I believe some women has wised up and know they were manipulated, and I know black women are not this stupid and gullible.
The other people are right, it doesn’t make any sense to vote for someone who was once in the white house been out for eight years Hillary&Bill have control issues and this has been their plan for years her becoming a senator motive was to run for the presidency when she and Bill were acting like they weren’t sure they knew all the time, I don’t trust them, I just don’t have a peace about them or their legacy, they are all for self. They want total control of the country…we are in some serious trouble I feel it. I don’t not have a peace about Hillary Clinton or any woman at this time being president and I am a woman. Like someone else said we know how to pray and something is not quite registering and these antics don’t show any integrity or character.

You know its really strange but I have had this uneasy feeling about Hillary and it started before the Iowa race, I wasn’t sure about anything but I was so elated when Obama won Iowa.
I too know something ain’t right and when I went to church Sunday my Pastor talked about bibical leadership and he spoke about the Jezebel spirit and I read all the post, and he he said you women are going to have to be careful because that spirit is trying to decieve you he talked about it being a controlling spirit and it hates any authority other than it’s own and has to always have it’s way and is powerful in manipulation, witchcraft.
I went home because I know I had my answer, and I read these post and a couple of people mentioned the Jezebel spirit and it was my confirmation that this woman is not right.

I like the way you responded and there is the difference between. You meant he was the only black senator in the senate today, and he had to dream and believe to even get there. I feel you.I guess he meant a lot of sceptics along the way even then.
Oh yea it is true as someone else said when people spoke on his behalf they did not speak ill of anyone. They stayed with the purpose of why they were speaking did not trash anyone. Class act and I don’t believe Obama is having that mess in his camp either.

President Clinton’s 1994 Crime Bill and Bob Johnson’s BET were two of the worst things to ever happen to the Black community. Bob Johnson needs to go back to the country club or go watch his daughter ride her horse and stay out of intelligent VOTING Black folks business. If he thinks the voting Black Community is going to jump on Hillary’s bandwagon because Bob says jump, he is one stupid billionaire. By the way, I’m not voting for Obama because he’s Black and I could care less that Hillary is white… I listen to what comes out of her mouth and see that she is NOT TOO DIFFERENT than the idiot running the country now. She will give huge tax breaks to the wealthy, pour a few more trillion into the Iraq war, maintain the injustice system that is crushing the Black family, and bow to the pharmaceutical companies’ and insurance conglomerates’ stranglehold on America’s healthcare system. SHE AIN’T GON’ CHANGE A DAMN THING!!! I’ll take Obama’s “inexperience” over Hillary’s so-called “readiness” ANY DAY.

For Obama research it on youtube, look it up on news sources. I agree he hasn’t spoken much on Jena 6 (understandable because even the hype behind it has been flawed, I’m not even for the Jena 6 now, after the whole donation money controversy and the way the boys have handled their situation) but he has alluded to it when discussing Genarlow Wilson, the young black man who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for having underage sex (even though both him and that girl were underage at the time). He spoke out against that and pledged to prevent future issues of discrimination like that.

The majority of you seem to be going for Obama and some for Hillary, so I’m going to toss a thought out here for consideration:
Keeping in mind the Republican trickery of the past, what if all the Obama hype is setup? Think about this.
Ultimately, the white-right don’t want a black man or a woman to be President, so with all that’s happening, how do they make sure it doesn’t happen? By allowing Obama to win the Democratic nomination and all the Hillary supporters swinging Republican on election day. Then, guess what, Republican rule is still in effect.
Hillary and Bill are not friends of the Black community no matter what you may think. They are in bed with the Bushes, so whether Hillary wins or not, she and Bill are still being taken care of. Those two are power-hungry and dirty. Bill’s been playin’ the Black community for a fool for a long time.
This election is the most important one ever. While I truly do think Obama is a solid candidate, I don’t trust the majority-white and their machinations. They are not above outright cheating (as you’ve seen before). Therefore, while Obama is still on my radar, even if he did win the election, he would be a target for ignorant fools. I’m really concerned with the Republican party trying to pull another “okey-doke” on everyone again. We really need to take a second look at Edwards and how he’s voted on issues that impact us…..
Just a thought….I’d love to hear feedback.

I promise, this will be my last post. I rarely post online, but you young people have delighted me with your intelligence and thoughtfulness. My concern is that you not - out-of-hand - accept something as true simply because it appears in the New York Times. I am more concerned, though, about this thread’s dangerous subtext.
Blacks are being pitted against women, young people against old, and Barack has been attacked for being pro-Israel - anti-Semitism is rearing its ugly head. Bob Johnson is being castigated (and rightly so) for his crimes against the Black community, but some because he’s rich. And Lesbians and the women’s movement, for no apparent reason, are being maligned.
And, we’re attacking each other as coons and Uncle Toms, simply because we disagree.
Racism, classism, sexism, ageism, anti-Semitism, and homophobia - a prescription for the devisiveness that will render us powerless as a people and guarantee a Republican win. Don’t get bogged down with my generation’s baggage, and the hatespeak we lay on Jesus. Your generation is ready for the conversation on how these oppressions interlock, and you are ready to build the kind of coalitions we need to bring about real change.
To develop the polical analysis you need to frame this conversation in a useful way, start off with Michael Eric Dyson, Bell Hooks and Barbara Smith, not necessarily in that order.. Then, you’ll better understand - and question - how Obama and Clinton fashion their policies around race and gender. (Incidentally, both are pro-choice, and both support gay rights, gay marriages, notwithstanding. )
Peace, young brothers and sisters. You make me proud..

Had to respond to to Stop the Hate:
Re-read the post to which you responded of mine. The reference to the Jena Six was not specific to those six young Black men, but to the socio-economic conditions that shape the lives of young Black men in general. (Nothing justifies gang banging anybody, but the punishment the Jena Six received was not equal to that dished out for similiar offenses committed by white kids in the town) My query to both candidates is what policies they’re proposing to make this a more equitable and just society. I’m also concerned about poor young white men in appalachia, poor young Mexican men in Texas, etc. - Oppression is oppression and ranking oppressions doesn’t make a helluva lot of sense. “When any of us is oppressed (women, gays and Lesbians, old people, Blacks, Jews, Arabs, the elderly, the disabled), all of us are oppressed.”.

Mark and J (both of whom are directly above my post) seem…well..suspect. I know that we all know there are people of varying races and genders who will go to boards and attempt to bring discord.
If you are real–Mark, how dare you assume that everyone who is pro-obama has failed to examine the issues? The condescending nature of that very assumption makes you a suspect undercover “other” in my book.
Furthermore, Hillary Clinton has the audacity to continue harping on her alleged 30+ years of “experience”. WTH is her experience? She has only been a senator for a short time. She was not in public office prior to that. So should my husband be able to go into the Supreme Court and be permitted to argue because he has 14 years experience being married to a lawyer? (of course he won’t be permitted to do so)
Do you want to have surgery done by a woman who has been “married to a doctor” for the past 30 years? She won’t get a chance to put a knife to me–that’s for sure!
The Clintons KNOW some black people, generally, can show a real severe lack of good logical reasoning…That is a nice way of saying “dumb as a box of rocks” . They KNOW this because black people have continued to sing their praises for no good reason. A white man blows a saxaphone in a jazz concert and all of a sudden it means he loves black people?!!! That is insane and a very sick showing of people who desperately need to believe they are loved.
Hililary is showing all Black people what she truly thinks and feels and believes about Blacks. It is 2008 and Bill just told you that having a black man as president is a “fairy tale”. They are telling you that they think you are DUMB AS A BOX OF ROCKS and the older generation seems to be buying it.
Those of us under “ancient” years of age will have to go out en masse and vote…which is why they are trying to push voter identification rules….see? Don’t believe the hype.
And you infiltrators need to kick rocks. (that means get lost) and stop pretending to be young african-americans for hillary when in reality you are probably bored white dudes with too much internet time on your hands.

Don’t you all think its funny that something like this would come out right before the Hilary campaign special on BET is going to air? They’re just mad they don’t have Oprah’s support.
Of course it took President Johnson to sign the Civil Rights Act into law but THE CONTEXT OF HER REMARK was offensive for two reasons - first, it minimized the work, perseverance, struggle, pain, and accomplishments of Dr. King and all who fought and DIED alongside him as if Johnson was the one who was on the frontgounds. Secondly, her timing couldn’t have been worse - making a comment like that on the WEEKEND of Dr. King’s birthday made what she said even worse.
TRUE supporters of the black community (black or white) don’t work to divide it to gain advantage. It seems that some negroes are confusing Hillary with Bill. Hillary is NOT her husband, people!!! Bill and Hillary are only up in black people’s faces to exploit their votes. Anytime there’s something to gain from the black community, here they come and then they want to throw all their “support” back in your face. They’re capitalizing off that old house n**** mentality.
And don’t let the black skin fool you - watch out for the wolves in sheep’s clothing. Mr. Johnson needs to keep his mouth SHUT - this is a man who has used his network to do nothing but capitalize off controlling the mindsets of young black people through manipulation, degrading images of blacks, and reenforing stereotypes. He sold out a long time ago - to the conglomorates! Think for YOURSELVES, people. KNOW YOUR HISTORY- Find out the facts, and make the decisions for YOURSEVLES.

@ #56 JYGALO: “And for the last time, we are black…an African-American is a naturalized citizen from Africa!”
What an ignoramus you are. This innate lack of knowledge of self is the same reason Bob Johnson is so lost & confused. You dont rightly know who you are. YOU are an AFRICAN who was dragged over to America in chains, and where it not for MLK forcing the hand of your oppressor to pass the Civil Roights Act, you still wouldn’t have “naturalised” into an “African-American” proper. And so begrudgingly they passed that Act, that they never let you forget who you really are…that’s why they insist on calling you “African-American” and NOT simply American like they call themselves. It is a term coined out of a supremacist mind-set with the sole intent of dividing and differentiating.
Dont you get it? Talking bout “we in America are blacks NOT Africans”; so I guess those in Africa must be whites, right? GTFOH! Only one fate awaits a tree dis-associated from it’s roots - DEATH by self-consumption, for it would have lost it’s primary source of nourishment; and when you pit the mind-set of Bob Johnson against the mind-set of Al Sharpton, my point becomes quite clearly illustrated.

Not sure if this article has been posted.
This is great article on the hypocrisy that is Bob Johnson regarding his tactless comments on Presidential hopeful, Sen. Barack Obama.
Davey D makes some interesting points.
Why Bob Johnson is an Asshole & a Hypocrite
by Davey D
Former BET President and founder Bob Johnson is an asshole and hypocrite. Lemme not pull punches, be politically correct, beat around the bushes or try to impress high brow readers who feel I should be less crass and gentler with my words so I can appeal to their sensibilities. It’s 2008 and unfortunately being nice and proper doesn’t quite get the message across, especially when it comes to Bob Johnson and his recent disparaging remarks about presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama.
For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, I’m referring to Johnson getting on stage to introduce Senator Hillary Clinton at a rally and expressing outrage about Obama’s past. He said; “Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood. I won’t say what he was doing, but he said it in his book.”
It was a cheap shot referencing Obama’s drug use when he was a young man. This was an activity that Obama freely admitted to in his memoirs ‘Dreams from My Father’ and on some level I can see it being fair game, but coming from a guy like Johnson, that’s like former President Bill Clinton giving marital advice to Hallie Berry’s former husband admitted sex addict Eric Benet. I heard Johnson make these remarks and I was like ‘Negroe go back into your cave, please sit down and leave the politics to someone else’.
I keep asking myself, where does Johnson get off slamming Obama about the wrongs of drug use when he piloted one of the largest media institutions [BET] that provided a worldwide platform that for the most part glorified and legitimized the lifestyles of those who not only used drugs but also sold them. In all the years we’ve known of ‘billionaire Bob Johnson we have not seen him get on any stage and diss former drug dealers like Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Rick Ross or any number of artists whose videos he would routinely play coupled with sit down interviews conducted by fawning hosts who never ever challenged these artists for resurrecting a ‘criminal’ lifestyle in both their songs and videos they supposedly left behind.
The Bob Johnson we know, has never gone out of his way to publicly smash on artists who like Mary J Blige or Fergie who admitted to using drugs in the past and have since gotten their lives together and moved onward and upward. If anything, the former head of BET could be seen publicly praising them while courting them to appear at his award shows or Spring Bling concerts.
Johnson certainly never came out swinging on admitted drug abusing artists like Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Flava Flav or DMX who all had reality shows either on BET or the one of the other stations within the Viacom network where he had influence as a VP.
One would think a guy of Johnson’s new found ‘high moral character’ would’ve been smashing on drug use and drug peddling a long time ago. Could you imagine what sort of shockwaves would’ve been sent around the world if Johnson even as a retired media mogul had spoke out and said; ‘No Bobby! No Whitney! We won’t give them a reality show until those two get themselves healed and free of drugs’? Can you imagine if he insisted the DMX show ‘Soul of a Man’ was centered around him getting over cocaine addiction?
Imagine the shockwaves if Johnson said; “Hell no Jigga we ain’t supporting your album ‘American Gangster’ cause you highlighting the sordid lifestyle of heroin dealers like Frank Lucas and we are against that type of behavior?”
Could you imagine if Johnson found his nuts when at the helm of BET and shut down any and all videos from artists who had ‘dirty pasts’ that they were trying to exploit?
Sadly the Bob Johnson we know, has seemingly had no problem in making billions from highlighting the drug dealing, drug using lifestyle. Adding to this disappointment is the fact that this proud African American billionaire did things like remove programming that would make us question and shun such questionable behavior. It was on Johnson’s watch that BET got rid of great award winning shows like Teen Summit.
It was on Johnson’s watch that we saw incredible commentators like Tavis Smiley and Ed Gordon disappear.
It was on Johnson’s watch we saw the BET nightly news shrink and then became a non existent. These shows were shut down in spite the objections ranging from scholars like Dr. Cornel West to the 8 major Black fraternities and sororities to more recently church groups leading the Enough is Enough campaign. It was on Johnson’s watch that many in the community were up in arms protesting BET when they had that Step-N-Fetcher like cartoon called Cita’s World. Y’all remember that one right?
As I’m penning this article, I’m vividly recalling Johnson arrogantly responding to critics on a widely televised ‘townhall’ where he was confronted for firing Tavis Smiley, Johnson said that BET stands for ‘Black Entertainment’ and he is in the business to entertain the masses and that he was not obligated to provide news programming. Who knows, maybe Johnson was trying to be ‘entertaining’ when he made is divisive remarks about Obama.
How is it that Johnson found the courage to stand up against Obama but was mealy mouthed against the artists with questionable pasts that he highlighted on his network who in turn became the face and MIS-perception of all African Americans to the rest of the world? Many of us who are not celebrities and have traveled overseas know the pain we’ve endured of having to explain to fascinated yet misguided individuals in far off lands that we are nothing like the characters and depicted in the videos shown on BET? I know I’ve had my share of conversations where I had to put things in proper context in places ranging from Barcelona to Scotland to Beirut where BET specifically was cited as the referencing point.
Instead, of being a champion for our people who could use his resources and influence to change widely held, worldwide misperceptions and stereotypes of us, he opted to become something more foul then any drug dealer. He became a propagandist of the worse kind. Instead of hustlin’ crack, Johnson hustled Black pathologies, distorted images and misinformation under the banner of Black culture which has resulted in many believing we are part and parcel to the unchallenged buffoonery he allowed highlighted.
Instead of celebrating Obama for overcoming the odds including the scorch of drugs to possibly become the next president of the United States, this ‘negroe’ Bob Johnson wants to act like a lap dog for Hillary Clinton and bash on him all while being a media drug peddler of sorts who is in a big way responsible for normalizing drug culture.
And please don’t get me wrong, I am in no way saying Obama is not above criticism. I have lots of critiques that I can launch at him. For the record, I am not the biggest Obama fan. He gives great speeches and has lots of charisma There’s no deny the energy he brings to mainstream political discussion, but from where I sit his politics don’t go quite go far enough. I want Obama to be the type of politician to have been on the ground front and center leading the masses when we went to protest in Jena. Instead all I got was a prèss release.
I want Obama to have been the politician who is bold and assertive and uncompromising to the point that he would speak out on behalf of the SF8 or the Puerto Rican activists who are being jammed up by the Feds. I want Obama to be the type of guy who is smashing hard on police brutality and this current wave of gentrification. I want Brack to have been present in New Orleans when they were demolishing all that public housing. However, when I argue with my colleagues like writers Adisa Banjoko or Eric K Arnold, our spirited debates center around Obama’s position on issues.
Even the big debate between rap stars Rhymefest (Obama supporter) and Lupe Fiasco (Hillary supporter) has centered around the politics of the candidates. Nobody is brow beating Obama for having used drugs in the past. The Obama we know and see today is clean, smart and razor sharp and we don’t see him coddling and being a big enabler to drug culture the way that billionaire Bob Johnson has been over all those years. He made his billions by pimping drug culture on his network to the fullest.
The biggest challenge that all of us as African Americans have is because Johnson had made some significant economic accomplishments he led many into believing what he was doing as the head of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate like BET was building upon past freedom struggles waged by the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, the Black Panthers and others.
The sad irony to all this is that if King and X were still alive waging battles against oppression, they would probably be excluded from the day to day banter of BET. We barely see or hear about these past leaders on the station today. What was the last in-depth discussion you saw or heard on BET under Johnson’s reign about King beyond I have a Dream speech? What’s the last insightful story you saw on Malcolm X?
If you listened to Dr. King’s thoughts on media then you know one thing, that BET and the foolishness its put out in the name of our people would’ve been in stark opposition to where King stood in terms of using media as a tool to uplift and inform the community. Like I said Martin and Malcolm would never be on BET aside from a few documentary clips and sound bites if they were around today. If you don’t believe me and think this is far fetched lets take a short trip down memory lane.
Those of us who are old enough to recall, when BET first came out it held a lot of promise and became a source of pride. It promised to fill the void and become a much needed answer to MTV which started out refusing to air videos from Black artists. Eventually Michael Jackson, Run DMC and later Yo MTV Raps knocked down some of those doors, but BET started off promising to be our uncompromised mouthpiece.
I recall in the late 80s as the cable industry expanded, BET was not included on many of the cable systems and there were spirited campaigns to get them on. It was young 20 something year old activists who were then part of what I would call the Public Enemy/ Afrocentric generation that took to heart some of the promises made by Bob Johnson who at that time called upon people to stand up for BET and demand it be included as a cable channel. BET’s exclusion from local cable systems was seen as yet another example of how prevalent racism was in this country. Many of us were coming out of the tailspin of the crack era and as Hip Hop’s Golden Age kicked in many eagerly sought to fight the power. Getting BET on cable was one such fight.
Here in the Bay Area it was rap activists like artist Chill E.B. who worked tirelessly, organizing letter writing campaigns and call ins to get BET on cable systems outside of Oakland in neighboring cities like Concord, Fremont and other areas it was absent. I recall doing radio shows and even having someone from BET (it may have even been Johnson himself, I have to check my tape archives) come on the air to talk about the importance of all of us pulling together to help insure that BET got a fair shot. I recall giving out phone numbers to the offending cable outlets and encouraging listeners to stand up for BET. Years later many of the activists who spearheaded the fight to get BET on cable for the masses to see can’t get on BET themselves to share and inform viewers of on going struggles in our community. For example, I know Chill EB who is a war vet and has spoken out against the war and has even done songs and videos about the topic never has been invited to sit on the 106 & Park couch.
It’s ironic that Obama who at 40 something would’ve been part of that Public Enemy/ Afrocentric generation that initially rallied for causes like getting BET on cable systems now finds himself being criticized by a guy like Bob Johnson. How quickly they turn. But I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. Shiesty people rarely change their stripes.
My boy and fellow writer, Jelani Cobb raised an important question in his recent article on this topic for the Washington Post which was; ‘What were the Clintons thinking when they got Johnson to stomp for them? She might as well gotten Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch or his employee Bill O’Reilly to stomp for her. Her picking Johnson is like me running for office and getting a gestapo like guy like Rudy Giuliani to stomp on my behalf-its not a good look and brings into question Senator Clinton’s clear lapse in judgement. All she had to do was look at the number of protests launched against BET in the past few years for their degrading images of women. That should’ve been a clear enough message. In other words if Hillary thinks so little of Black people that she went and dug up a cat likes Bob Johnson then I’m gonna have to close the book on her and bounce the other way and roll with Obama, Cynthia McKinney, Jared Ball or Dennis Kucinich-anyone but her.

We have got to stop falling for this foolishness. Everytime something really great is getting ready to happen in America the powers that be always go to the race issue. It is the one thing that they know will divide everyone. It is still a sinsitive issue and they know that. And it keeps everyone off the reall issues.
Did anyone watch meet the press this past Sunday when she stated she did not realize she was voting for war. This is suppose to be a leader. A woman who did not even realize she was voting for a war. Come on people stop falling for this foolishness. I am talking about all of us as a country.

I can tell that this move by Bob hit a “set back” nerve with you just like it did with many of us! And, you should know that many of us read every word that you wrote! The Bobs, Wards and Cosby’s are self-serving, “I got mine” people who quickly forget from whenced they came!
I hope you keep sharing your views!

366. KEEPING UP!!!!!
===================================
I’m feeling you!!! Hillary wants to be a “Superwoman” like the song Stevie and Donny sing! She’s already saying the wrong things and hurting people! She’s divisive and sneaky like her husband, Bill! Problem is…in the end, they always get caught!
The love among black people is still strong, but there are those like Bob, Ward and Bill who are chosing to break the allience! And, they have that right! And, we’ll open our arms to them when they come running back. But, man it sure does a lot of harm!
Translations:
Hillary wants to be a superwoman
But is that really in her head
But I just want to live each day to love her
for what she is
Hillary wants to be another movie star
But is that really in her mind
And all the things she wants to be
She needs to leave behind
But, very well, I believe I know you-very well
Wish that you knew me too-very well
And I think I can deal with everything going through your head
Very well, and I think I can face-very well
Wish that you knew me too-very well
And I think I can cope with everything going through your head
Hillary wants to be a superwoman
And try to boss the bull around
But does she really think that she will get by with a dream
The woman want to be a superwoman
And I just had to say good-bye
Because I can’t spend all my hours start to cry…
===========================================
Remember that one?
Soon she’ll be singing Yesterday like the Beatles and Donny:
Yesterday, all her troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they’re here to stay
Oh, Hillary believe in yesterday.
Suddenly, she’s not half the man she used to be,
There’s a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.
Why she had to run I don’t know she wouldn’t say.
She said something wrong, now she longs for yesterday.
Yesterday, politicing was such an easy game to play.
Now she need a place to hide away.
Oh, Hillary believes in yesterday.
Why she had to go I don’t know she wouldn’t say.
She said something wrong, now she long for yesterday.
Yesterday, politicing was such an easy game to play.
Now she needs a place to hide away.
Oh, Hillary believes in yesterday.

Yes, Laugh Out Loud, I’m angry as hell and I’m not gonna take it anymore, lmao! I always enjoy how the people that accuse me of being an angry negro will be the first ones to expose themselves as true creatures of hate because the most hateful people in the world are those that love lies. Make a counter-point to my point since I’m so nonsensical. I bet that your clownish ass cannot. What difference does it make to you whether I speak about my people or not? Are you a cave-dweller or a rambunctious, loyal, well-trained circus monkey? Please edify me. Before you attack me, since you’re so “pragmatic”, please present a precedent for when the American government has assisted the negro at all, much less through the voting system. Get back to me as soon as possible. You have to either be a caucasian or a coon n***er because those are the two most patriotic creatures on the planet earth and those are also the two creatures that love lies the most. I have nothing “pragmatic” to offer about this issue because I have no hope for this society. The only people that do have hope for this society are those that love Satan. So that’s my challenge to you, lol. No more bullshit rhetoric. Give me precedent and better yet, get back to me when this shit fails. I want statistics and numbers detailing how the quality of life for the negro has systematically improved.

It’s possible sis, and your thought process is great. The only thing is that, from what I understand (as Dats Da Truth alluded to in comment #278), Hillary has already been anointed for the presidency. In my opinion, many people don’t grasp that the point of these elitist groups is that they do not believe that the average person deserves the right to have a say in who governs over them. The average person; in the estimation of these elitists, is too stupid to understand what’s good for them, so to placate said average person, a ruse must be designed that is intricate enough to convince that person that they have an effect on their own fate. Hence, the “electoral process” in which “candidates” parade across televisions and enact performances reminiscient of the WWF until the already known winner takes their rightful place over the populace. Based on the comments on many of these threads, the elitists are correct in their gauge of the stupidity, and outright gullibility, of the average person. Keep in mind that only certain politicians are aware of the inner workings of the system because even average politicians are too stupid to be trusted. This is why most of these presidents and dignataries must be trained at these illuministic institutions like Oxford, and at a lower level, the Ivy League schools in America to even be considered as possible caretakers for the continuation of the agendas of the “elite”.

Billary’s a damn fool if she thinks that aligning herself with this buffoon is gonna rub most Blk folks the right way. Fuck outta here.
& so what if Obama dabbled in drugs when he was a kid? So? Bill admitting to smoking weed yet he “didn’t inhale.” Bush was a cokehead alki & is a 2-term prezy. Stop the madness. Obama’s not the same person he was when he was younger. Most ppl evolve. Obama experimenting with drugs as kid doesn’t equate to the daily denigration of the Blk race via BET.
Billary better find a cure for that foot-in-the-mouth disease before her Blk supporters start an exodus.
Edwards & Obama are better candidates.

C’mon now. If Bob was referring to Obama’s community work, why didn’t he just say “community work?” Why allude to something dirty if your words are harmless? What’s so vulgar about those words that he couldn’t just say them? It’s well-known that Obama has a political grassroots background & that’s neither vulgar nor offensive to anyone’s senses.
It’s amazing how he’s gotten some of you fooled into thinking that he wasn’t bringing up his teenage drug use.

SHE MUST BE ANOINTED BY SATAN BECAUSE THE ANOINTING OF GOD WOULD NEVER HAVE ANYONE DOING THINGS THIS WAY IN ORDER TO GET ELECTED INTO AN OFFICE OR POSITION THAT HE ORDAINED….NEVER…………
AND SINCE YOU SO FOR HELLARY…JUST BECAUSE SHE FORGAVE BILL AND MOST OF US BALCK FOLK TOO AND HE DID NTO GET IMPEACHED DOES NOT MEAN THAT GOD HAS CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT ADULTERY AND HOW HE EXPECTS A LEADER TO CONDUCT HIMSELF…….I AM JUST GOING TO POINT BLANK TELL YOU AND YOU CAN TAKE THIS TOO THE BANK……I DON’T KNOW WHO THE NEXT PRESISDENT WILL BE BUT I PROMISE YOU THIS ON THE AUTHORITY OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS THAT HELLARY AND BILL WILL NOT BE MOVING INTO THE WHIT E HOUSE AGAIN…..ANY DOOR THAT GOD HAS CLOSED NO MAN CAN OPEN…LET GOD BE TRUE AND EVERY MAN A LIAR…THE DEVIL IS LIAR!!!!!
THIS IS NOT ABOUT BARACK OBAMA THOUGH IT IS NO CONINCIDENCE THAT HE IS RUNNING AT SUCH A TIME AS THIS…THIS IS ABOUT THE WAY GOD ORDAINED THINGS TO BE…….GOD IS PROGRESSIVE. …..HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW…..HE IS DOING A NEW THING.
THAT IS WHY BILL TRIED TO CONVINCE OBAMA NOT TO RUN, BUT TO WAIT BUT THANK GOD HE (OBAMA) AND HIS WIFE HAD ENOUGH SENSE TO GO TO PRAY TO GOD AND SEEK OTHER COUNSEL AND GO FORWARD IN FAITH AND NOT FEAR AND DECLARE HIS CANDIDACY…..BILL AND HELLARY WERE AFTER THE BLACK VOTE BECAUSE THEY KNEW IT WAS WHAT PUT THEM OVER BEFORE AND IF A BLACK MAN RAN THEN THEY KNEW THAT MANY IF NOT ALL BLACKS WOULD VOTE FOR HIM…THEY KNOW OUR HISTORY AND THEY KNOW HOW LONG WE AS A PEOPLE HAVE WAITED FOR THIS DAY TO COME.
YOU ALL BETTER KNOW AND RECOGNIZE THE CLINTON STRATEGY…THAT’S ALL THIS HAS BEEN TO THEM A STATEGIC PLAN TO GET BACK INTO THE WHITE HOUSE AND I AM NOT VOTING FOR THAM AGAIN EITHER!!!!! I WILL NOT HAVE MY GRANDCHILDRENS BLOOD ON MY HANDS FOR LOOKING OR GOING BACK. YOU ALL CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT BUT THE TRUTH IS A PLAIN AS THE NOSES ON YOUR FACE!!!!

VERACITY
Thursday, January 17, 2008 /
I’m fairly certain that any one with enough intellectual inclination to not only be interested in this issue, but to read through this forum and also post in it - is not, has not, can not and will not be fooled by Uncle Bob’s thinly veiled rhetoric fissiparously aimed at Obama in particular, and the black populace at large.
Here’s what Bob said:
“To me, as an African American, I am frankly insulted the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues - when Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood; I won’t say what he was doing, but he said it in his book - when they have been involved”
Bob, Bob, Bob, the Obama campaign did not imply that WE (black people) are stupid, YOU on the other hand have overtly, even explicitly implied that YOU are stupid. And here’s why:
1. If it is true that what you were really alluding to about Obama was his community work, then your failed attempt at inspirational oratory would have read thus: “To me, as an African American, I am frankly insulted the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues - when Barack Obama was doing COMMUNITY WORK for and on behalf of the black people…in other words, while Bill & hillary were TALKING & THINKING about it, OBAMA was actually DOING it…and umm…I just realised how much of a contradictory, confused, pointless sell-out moron I must sound like as I’m saying this…so umm…err…nope that’s it, I’ve lost my train of thought…(Maybe they’ll be too busy smoking pot to realise that I never said Obama or anyone for that matter had ever said that Billary hadn’t been involved in the first place)…so I’m just gonna go on ahead and say - when they have been involved. Yeah, that sounds like a good way to end it. Hehehe, stupid people”
2. Your alleged intelligence actually lead you to use eighteen words were only two would have sufficed. But then again I guess it’s understandable why a black billionaire sell-out would consider the words “community work” so dirty and beneath him to even mention in his speech.
In summary, Bob, you just managed to use and attempt to re-inforce a black stereotype far more viciously, invidiously, nefariously, and perhaps efficiently than any white man ever could. Shame on you. And all for what? You are already a billionaire are you not? It cant be about the money! So pure logic must conclude that you did this out of an innate hatred for your own kind (yourself included by implication). Again, shame on you! I know, love, and believe in my people enough to know that they wont listen to this guy. Success does NOT have to come at the price of YOUR SOUL.
OBAMA 2008!

UPDATE!!!!!!
Thursday, January 17, 2008 /
Everyone guess what Hillary (I like Hellary as some have posted), is up to today. She played the role of a flight attendant at the airlines….this woman will do anything to get phones…reported on the news this morning…she has heard the word stupid from Bob Johnson so much she actually thinks we are stupid.
By the way she and Bill are as much as fault as Bob Johnson he was just the mouth piece but I guarantee you they strategized on his speech and knew what he was goiong to say, they are just as guilty. They can’t stand Barack and they really don’t give a flip about us.
@# 376 You are so right it is plain as the noses on our faca, just last night my husband said maybe God allowed us to see the Clintons at their worst because many of us needed a wake up call in regards to the Clintons it was like black folk had made them some kind of Gods.

I saw that on the news this morning too about her being a flight attendant for the day, they call it retail politics and CNN saying she is trying to rebuild her image.
You are either a real or you are not. The woman is so full of pretense and gimmicks everything is strategy she is obsesse with winning for the sake of winning. I wonder if she ever sleeps at night just stays awake thinking of ways to get votes.
I wonder what kind of conversation she, Bill and Bob Johnson have had behind closed doors about Obama, because if they been dropping dimes in the open man, i wish I was the fly on the wall.
I am so sick of this woman and Barack didn’t make me sick of her she and her husband did and they way she runs her campaign always some gimmick.
I wish the Clintons would just go away, just be gone!!!! Has anyone else ever been tired of someone, its like Enough already.

@376 and anyone else:
Yes God does make all things new, but things but must die to themselves first before they can be made new again. And that’s exactly what this world is doing, dying, in preparation for a new one. That being said, if we look around we can tell that we are living in the end times. The things that are going on now, and especially the damage that has been done under the Bush administration, are irreversible. Do you all really honestly see things getting better? Look at our dollar…it’s damn near worthless. Everybody is struggling, from the housing crisis to the closing of many small businesses. You might be doing “okay” right now, but trust, the way things are headed if you are not filthy rich you will enter into the struggle as well. Then look at the world outside of the U.S. Look at the genocides happening overseas. If we dont intervene, we have their blood on our hands, if do intervene, we taking away from our own homeland security, leaving us more vulnerable. If we support Israel we will be blessed but eventually as other nations rise against them, we will make more enemies. Damned if we do, damned if we don’t. If we read the bible, it talks about earthquakes in desolate places and wars, it’s all coming into fruition people. Personally, I knew the world was coming to an end a few weeks ago, when I saw that a black man (in America) had killed and ate another human being. Since when did we get down like that? All this time, these elections and debates have been going on and I thought something was wrong with me for not having hope for the future. But it is was it is. HIStory has already been written and there’s no changing it. All we can do is ask the True and Living God for grace and mercy while we’re here on this earth and then prepare our souls for the next life time. Bless.

Have another drink, lol. When did I ever say that I was for Hillary or any of these other candidates? You read my post but you didn’t comprehend it because you’re so damn emotional you were looking for a reason to go on a religious tangent with no references for you nonsense. Any leader of America is of Satan because the fabric of America is of Satan; whether it be “Hellary” (lol), Obama, Ron Paul, or whoever. There is not one ounce of integrity in any aspect of this empire and the Most High will not build anything new here. This land, and this entire world, is under Satan’s authority by orders of the Most High until Christ comes back to destroy it and create the new earth in righteousness. Just you wanting to vote shows that you have the mark of the beast on you.

Thursday, January 17, 2008 /
That’s exactly why blcak folks can’t get anywhere the so call religious crowd hates everybody and no one wants to admit this is racist country and if obama was a white man no one at anytime would be having these conversations and if all the candiates were white Hellary’s ass wouldn’t have a chance because everyon in their right mind knows that this country in the state that it is not ready for a woman president and a white one at that.
But you rather put a white woman in office than vote for a black man.
My pastor prohesied she is not called of God to lead this country, he didn’t say who was but he sur esiad who wasn’t. She is decieving people and the ones who don’t want a black man in will vote for her for that reason.
That’s when i see this country will go to the dogs.
I’m not saying a woman can’t be president but now is not the time and Hellary is not the chosen one.
