Many people in Florida didn’t vote in the primary some were told that yesterday’s voting was for republicans only and some were still lead to believe the date for voting was Feb. 5, it seems that we can’t get it together!

First of all, Obama won in South Carolina because he obtained 55% of the vote, not because he is Black. Yes he received 80% of the Black vote, but he could’ve still lost with 100% of the Black vote…AND he earned those votes over the past several months. He was initially behind Hillary several months ago, so that alone shows that votes weren’t just handed to him on a silver platter.

He won in Iowa which is predominately white and he came in a very close second in both New Hampshire and Nevada which also have a small Black voting population. So CHECK YOUR FACTS.

It’s a shame when White folks vote for Obama it means something, but when Blacks vote for him it is so easily dismissed…even by our own ignorant people.

Also, about Florida, what people fail to realize is that Hillary “won” the vote because she campaigned (regardless of whether she wants to call it that or not that is what she did) by ADDRESSING FLORIDA voters and telling them that she was going to try and make sure their votes counted.

It is very likely that Obama supporters stayed home instead of wasting their time on a vote that didn’t count. The fact that she gained 50% of the vote after actively and very publicly seeking their support in the past few days and Obama did not make the same plea yet received 33% shows something. Just like the fact that she only received 55% of the vote in Michigan against “Uncommitted” says something. Before you guys go around repeating Clinton party lines…do some critical thinking.

I’m still torn between Hillary & Barack.
However, as long as a Democrat takes office I’ll be smiling.

Some issues:

1 — That we are not allowed to say that the issue of race is huge in this campaign, but over 50% of South Carolina’s population is Black, 80% of the Blacks in South Carolina voted for Obama, and it’s the state where he has seen his largest support so far. A COINCIDENCE?

2 — That Michelle Obama can address a church congregation following her husband’s victory in Iowa and say gleefully, “Ain’t no Black people in Iowa!” but she isn’t faulted for bringing race into the campaign. Bill Clinton, however, can’t even begin a word the letter R without being chided.

3 — That the cult of personality around Obama is so fierce, his supporters seem akin to those who were possessed with a mad fervor for George W. Bush in 2004. (YES, THEY DO.)

4 — That Obama himself can diss and throw potshots at Clinton for MONTHS and has continued to do so even in his victory speeches, but he is lauded for running a dignified campaign. When Clinton merely fights back on agenda- and issues-related matters, she is branded shrill and vindictive and her defenses are deemed part of the “Clinton machine’s” dirty campaign tactics. I have never seen or heard her mock her rivals, yet this is EXACTLY what Obama does and it is regarded as “humor”.

5 — That Obama can say something as racially stereotypical as needing to see how Bill Clinton dances to determine whether he’s a “brother” — and during a formal DEBATE, no less! — and it doesn’t cause a ripple. Just imagine the reverse!

6 — That America is so desperate to find a hero, our citizens and our media are treating Obama like he’s the second coming.

7 — That once again, a qualified, experienced woman of superior achievement and intelligence is not only being passed over in favor of the slick man — please, this is America Sexism 101 — but she is in essence being FAULTED for wanting to do so.

8 — That prior to the Iowa caucuses, Obama was said to be “not Black enough” for Black Americans. After his win there, he was suddenly the heir to MLK in some people’s eyes.

9 — Obama’s thinly disguised arrogance.

10– That Obama’s supporters are so immature in their behavior and comments. Can they even discuss ISSUES or is it all just about “inspiration” for them?

11 — That people would actually believe, with the hot mess this country is in, we need an inspirational speaker as opposed to a savvy and seasoned politician in the Oval Office come January 20, 2009.

Kinda messed up that two states where Hillary won in a major way earned her no delegates because they moved up their primaries. In the end, it’s all about those delegates.

Now what’s going to make a difference at this point is who John Edwards will endorse, because whoever gets his endorsement, gets his delegates. I don’t even want to make a prediction on who he will choose.

Bill I live in NY and I don’t have anything malicious to say about Bloomberg like I have to say about Guiliani but one thing that pissed me off was his handling of the transit strike. We have the biggest mass transit system in the world and he couldn’t get those workers to stay on the job. He had no influence. Hillary is an extremely intelligent woman and she’s a fighter. I think that’s what we need, not another “feel good” president. Obama has the most delegates, therefore he is in the lead. Hillary had NO victory in FL. All of the democratic candidates SIGNED an aggreement not to campaign or accept delegates from Michigan or Florida. When Hillary found our she was in the lead in FL, not only did she go to the state to have a “victory” speach, but now she is try to BREAK THE AGGREEMENT all the candidates made at th beginning of the race and is trying to get the FL delegates seated. She’s desperate to win and will use dirty tactics (i.e. her voter suppression in Nevada), to do so. If she can’t even keep her word in an election, how do you expect her to be an honest president? I can’t for the life of me figure our how anyone of good conscience can vote for this woman!!!

I just read some of the comments and all I have to say is the following:

1. Please give the sexism argument a REST. You can not convince me that well connected white woman is getting discriminated against more than a black man who’s virtualy and outsider to the entire establishment. Hillary Clinton is only a candidate because HER HUSBAND WAS PRESIDENT!! If he were not president and if Guiliani hadn’t got prostate cancer and dropped out the NY senate race, she would have never been elected to the senate and she would not even be a nominee today. As a woman, I have much more respect for a woman who actually earns something on her own MERIT. Not riding her husbands coatails. Barack Obama doesn’t come from politcally connected marraige or family. All of his success he earned the hard way and his support is genuine and not based on brand name identification like Hillary.

2. Experience!! People who run the “hillary has experience” line prove to me that they know little about their candidate and are just regurgitating what they hear on the news and in slogans. Joel Biden HAS EXPERIENCE. Governer Richards HAS EXPERIENCE. Hillary Clinton is is one of the least experience candidates in the race. She only has 2 more years in the Senate than Obama and unlike Obama that’s her FIRST public office. Obama has 8 years as a state senator in the Illinois state Leigslature, in addition to his experience as a senator in the US Senate, he’s a Civil Rights lawyer, Constiutional Law Proffessor and a grassroots community organizer. Hillary’s claim to fame is being married to the ex president. Sorry that does’nt count for me, because she was not responsible for being accountable to anybody other than herself and the one thing she tried to do (health care), she failed at. Barack actually delivered healthcare to Illinois.

3. Specifics!! For all of you people who are asking for specifics I challenge to you to actually read about these candidates plans. Actually use some discernment and wade past the media hype. You will see that not only is Obama’s platform the best, but it’s also the most innovative.

If Hillary gets elected, I don’t want to hear any complaing from black folks. I can garuntee you we will still be stuck in Iraq, we will have a healthcare plan that has not support in congress and by the end of year 1 I can garuntee you there will be a scandal. I could never get pass congressional black caucus members, who claimed that Bill was the “first black President.” What a fucking insult. Why would you want to compare a black man to a president who lied under oath about receiving fellatio in the oval office? Many of you Negroes are delusional. I have been completely turned off by the arrogance of the Clinton camp. Bill has attacked Barack on the lowest levels. This shows how class-less he really is. Bill also made a statement that if Hillary was elected it would be like getting a two for one deal. So what are you saying Bill? We can interpret that in a few ways:

As a black woman, I will definitely say my race. Before anyone even goes “there” with my gender, they acknowledge that I am black. It is a pressing and prevalent issue for those of us who are in corporate America. The media treats Obama like he’s the second coming. JFK reincarnated. But they arent being hard on him. I didnt really like Edwards b/c i heard of his personal use of campaign money, but he did have good ideas that were overlooked by the American people. I just dont think he should be a running mate for Obama or Hillary. Obama and Hillary need to work together. Hillary can give Obama more substance while Obama can break down Hillary’s walls and her vision in trade for a vision of better change. These two together is what America really needs b/c they both have great ideas.

Now all we need to do is regulate the CIA, Federal Reserve Bank, and the World Bank. Or at least eradicate those programs that are hurting the economy.

Those delegates in MI & FL don’t count. Because Obama is doing so well she went down to Florida rather than thanking the people in SC for helping her with her campaign, she just left and flew to TN. She told the newspaper in Iowa that MI & FL didn’t matter which Edwards and Obama including herself decided they wouldn’t campaign there. But we’re talking about Delegates. She got more votes but she has to divide some of those delegates with Obama and Edwards. She’s playing dirty politics. She’s a snake.

If you did some reasearch you’d know that blacks of all income levels SIGNIFIGANTLY lagged behind there white counterparts during the Clinton years and blacks with the least income actually experienced a signifigant economic DECLINE during his presidency. Well respected mainstream economists have studied this over and over, because they can’t figure out why black people thought they were doing so well under Bill Clinton, when the NUMBERS show they were not. I know why, it’s because we sold our loyalty for a little saxaphone playing and pandering.

Bill Clinton, who is admittingly responsible for moving the democratic party to the RIGHT, made two key moves to prove he was a moderate - increase the Prison population and institue welfare reform (both which have proven to be a failures if you do the research).

And as the Clinton’s have shown time and time again, they will sell black folks up the river to get what they want. Anyone remember Lani Guinier???

Not to mention the terrosim problems we have now did not start with Pres. Bush. Pres. Clinton, missed opporutunities to address Al Queda in afghanastan before Bush got into office. He dropped the ball on our national security, before it caught up with us. And then his wife continued his screwed up legacy by sending our troops to Iraq, which has only made our national security situation even worse.

You have oppourtunity to continue a dynasty in America that has already proven to NOT BE YOUR FRIEND, or you can vote to actually make a change in this country and vote for someone who’s progressive, qualified and has the BEST PLAN of all the candidates. Someone from the outside, who actually earned his candidacy and is fiercly intelligent, or shall I say brillant as his former Harvard law proffessers refer to him as. We seem to be so caught up with the Clintons that we can’t see the truth. In the last couple of weeks I’ve reached the point where I can say that I truly dislike the Clintons and will never vote for Hillary if she is the nominee in November. I’ll have to find some alternative.
I wish people will stop with the healthplan– it will not pass through Congress. The Clintons have so many enemies in Washington that all of her bills will be bottle-necked and nothing will be accomplish.

I love Obama– and please do not shun the inspiration this man seems to give many of us. In these dire times, we need someone who can work with all- democrats, independents, republicans, liberals and conservatives and get things done.

I also liked Edwards– it’ll be nice to see him endorse Obama. But their base is quite different. Clinton and Edwards base are rural, working class and less educated. Whereas, Obama has more of the upper to upper-middle class, college educated, younger voters as his base.

As for Giuliani- being Italian was not his problem. He was an arrogant, misguided, disgusting, souless leader that tried to use 9/11 to get into office. He was also a terrible mayor and did nothing but divide our city. I’m from NYC and know this all first hand.

Last word–don’t forget to watch the debates tonight. It’s supposedly the hottest ticket in LA at this time. They are getting more requests than the Oscars.

You guys sound silly. Its like everything is a conspiracy when it comes to Hillary and Bill. I like Obama and Hillary both. I dont give a flyin fuck if you think im brainwashed. I know about Hillary’s so called past. And yes I’ve done my damn research. The best word to describe Hillary is Ambitious. And yeah, its obvious she stayed with Bill for political reasons. She’s had this goal of being President for quite some time. She’s very clever and everyone move is calculated. Ive always been aware of Hillary and her strategies. She’s no dummy.

The only problem is that so many people have these misconceptions about the Clintons. Independents, Republicans, and some Dems hate her worse than BUSH. ANd for what reason? These people voted for Bush who screwed up our nation and took us back to the dark ages. Thats not what the Clintons are about. Money is definitely not Hillary’s concern. Like i said, Its OPPORTUNITY.

But people are makin Hillary out to be the anti-christ, yet those same people are the ones that voted for Bush not ONCe, but TWICE. So i cant take anything u say seriously.

I would like Obama in the White House. It would be nice to see what he can do. Bill Clinton may be a decent guy but he’s not as corrupt as the shit we’re seein in the White House NOW. And his wife would be President, not him. He’d simply be her personal advisor.

I hope Obama does not become a puppet to the Powers ThatBe who are controlling our govt and economy. I really do hope he makes a change. Hillary is an Opportunist and i think if we gave her a chance she’d succeed in bettering our economy.

Personally i hope Barack wins the election. Another part of me wants to see what HIllary can do.
