Listen, normally people get put away for 10 years for being involved in counterfeit check schemes. Marion Jones lied to the Feds on two counts. She only gets 6 months, and that’s only after she got arrogant and asks that she serve no time at all. Marion Jones has enough connections and probably knows enough people in the law profession that she would have had to serve no time for what she did. Even though she lied to the feds, she’s still very well connected. If she were a poor woman with no resources, they would have locked her up long-termly.

And once she’s released, life will not be hard for her. It will go on, she will have more options, still, than most for making a considerable living.

So, I don’t feel sorry for her as far as having to serve 6 months. On the other hand, I don’t feel that people should throw the book at her either. The Feds lie to us every day. As people of African descent, we’ve fallen victim to their lies and corruption before and continue to. So, what’s the big to do about it? The Judiciary System is corrupt, this country is corrupt.
