Danity Kane – Tip Toe (full) – listen
New music from Danity Kane and I am super excited! Their debut album was wonderful, and when I started seeing the new promos running on MTV for the next season of Making the Band 4, I was really excited – but at the same time, disappointed. Danity Kane has already established themselves as a group that can put out a good album, so they shouldn’t be in competition with those boys. In any event, I am excited for them and can’t wait for more material from the album. The quality of the song sucks, but it has a nice sound.
Lil’ Mama feat. T-Pain & Chris Brown – Shawty, Get Loose! (Remix) (full) – listen
You may remember we posted this song. But this is new version featuring Chris Brown – before, it was just Mama and T-Pain. This is slated to be Lil’ Mama’s third single from her unreleased album, Voice of the Young People, which has yet to have a solid release date. I’m interested to see what this video will look like, considering that Lil’ Mama always has such great energy and her videos are always so much fun.
Trey Songz feat. Plies – Can’t Help But Wait (Remix) (full) – listen
“Can’t Help But Wait” was a great single for Trey Songz to release for his latest album, Trey Day. Seems as though they are revisiting the track and adding Plies to it for the Step Up 2 soundtrack, which also features new music from Missy Elliott, which we posted sometime last week. The song, either way, with or without Plies is still a nice track. The production is near hypnotic.
Sean Paul – Pepperpot (full) – listen
I remember back when the whole dancehall thing was huge, and everyone loved Sean Paul – I also remember that for some odd reason, I just couldn’t get into it. I know that he released a couple of singles and also had the single with Eve, but I haven’t heard anything about his upcoming project. “Pepperpot” is a cool, mellow track – I’m not sure what Sean Paul fans expect from him this time around, but as far as dancehall goes, this is very radio friendly.

Danity Kane song has a nice concept but their harmonies seem a little off to me.

damn they still have dawn leading off and i mean shit, her voice does not compliment every song they do and it doesn’t have range or variety…I DON’T LIKE THAT SONG AT ALL!! a huge part is that it sounds like a single choice for dawn and i’m not a huge fan of her voice and because all the other girls can sing, i mean shit, they might have sounded great on that but we will never know, TRY AGAIN!!

It seems like Trey Songz and Plies make some great music together…I loved their version of “Shawty” a helluva lot more than the original. Trey is sooo slept on…”Trey Day” was one of the hottest releases in ’07.
I am not feeling none of the songs. I thought I would like the DK track. Trey should have left Can’t Help But Wait alone. Shoot me but I like Plies.

The Danity Kane song is all Dawn singing and she has a seperate career from Danity Kane so whoever posted this needs to get the info straight. Despite the sound quality the song is hot and relatable to peoples lives. People need to stop hating on Dawn cause she forms the base for harmony in Danity Kane plus has a killer voice on her own.

Trey Songz Remix was REAL DRY, Rather the original and if he was going to do a remix… Plies is definatly not a canidate for that specific track.

The lil mama song is alright. It’s the only song that she has came out with that I can actually tolerate. Save that shit for the kids though. Im suprised Jive is having a hard time getting her the right single. Her album was supposed to come out last summer.
All these songs are hot. I actually like the danity kane song and by the time it comes out it might be more polished but its a good look. Putting them back in the house is a good idea because thats what made their album sell last time so dont stop what works. oh gees – @ Danity Kane. That was a lot going on in that song. I also don’t think Trey should have put Plies on this song. This song is really positive and Plies is really a raunchy rapper. It came off strange to me. Anyway, Lil Mama is cool for the kids, good little beat. Sean Paul’s is ok.
Danity Kane…it was ok, nuttin special. I like that Lil Mama sounds like a youngin’ makin youngin’ music which why I like her and that song (Y’all haters are prob the same one teaching ya 4 yr old sister how to do splits & beyonce booty pops and then wonder why she’s fast in the ass at 10 !) The idea of a remix is the make the song better…plies is wack! Sean Paul is track is radio friendly but not anything impressive

Danity Kane: I don’t know if it’s just me, but Dawn can’t sing to me never could IMO. D-Woods and Andrea are the best vocally. Not feeling the song something is very…oh well can’t find the word. Don’t like it though.
Lil Mama: I’m 23 so maybe I’m a little old for lil mama but I like the way she reps for the girls her age I might her album on that alone.
Trey Songz: I don’t know why I been sleeping on him, I never cared for him like other peopl but he puts out good music I might get his album.

That Lil Mama Remix is really good…
I actually kinda liked the DK song. It could be tweaked, but I think the concept is good. I kept waiting on it to go somewhere, like for the other members to take a verse or something. It stayed on the same level the whole song and didn’t build up to anything, but it has potential.
