I think I expected to much from the Tina Turner and Beyonce performance because after it went off all I could say was “interesting”.

Kanye’s performance ended up making me cry. I’m glad he got a chance to perform.

Chris Brown looked nice in his male skinny jeans. LOL

Is it me or was Rihanna looking like Prince long lost daughter with that hairstyle. LMAO

But overall mostly everyone looked nice. And congrats to all of those that won and were nominated.

All and all it was a slow moving uninspiring show for the 50 Anniversary of the Grammys. It was more like the AMA which I usually skip each year but I will say Kanye’s performance and the legendary Tina and Beyonce turn that mother out and the Time. Okay I was doing the bird dance, yeah I said it. Jamming on the One.

Beyonce is the it girl. When it comes to live performances and entertaining she takes the cake everytime. No one is as engaging and fun to watch as she is. She always thinking outside the box. No im not saying she is the best singer to ever grace the stage (Shes not) or the best looking woman to ever pick up a mic (shes not that either). But what she does she does very well and she has the respect of LEGENDS like Cher, Tina, and Patti. The girl is no fluke. Shes here to stay.

I thought the show was good overall. I really liked both of Alicia keys performances. I also liked Carrie Underwood’s, and the Foo Fighter’s performance also. The other performance I really liked was the tribute to the Beatles. The young kid and the older women with the choir who did “Let It Be” were really good. I was really impressed with the young boy though. Tina and Beyonce’s performance was good and they both looked great on stage.

What’s up with the dude sitting next to Alicia Keys in the Brown Shirt. Ok Ri Ri killed the style game last night. She really needs to stop trying to sing and just model or something. I thought the show was a complete bore…I could not watch it all the way through. I turned on the NFL Network and watched the repeat of the Superbowl.

I liked Kanye’s first performance w/ the lights and everything. that’s it. He is always seeking sympathy, so it’s hard for his performance to his mother to touch me.

Beyonce and Tina - Boring. Beyonce has done that same performance of Proud Mary so many times it wasn’t even exciting to see her and Tina on stage. The Time should have performed solo. Rhianna sounded a mess and has zero stage presence. She looked like a stiff on stage.

Beyonce & Tina were the highlight of the night. I wish they would have let the Time do their reunion w/o Rhianna… it just seemed too random. I loved John Mayer’s guitar solo w/ Alicia Keys (Now THAT IS Music). Kanye! nice tribute, seemed very heartfelt and it’s a nice change of pace from the tantrums.

I think Rihanna’s problem is that nobody likes her songs. lol She tried to sing her heart out, though. Her outfits, though, yet another failure to translate runway to reality. But she did look fun, I guess. The Time enjoyed her, so I guess that means she did a great job.

Beyonce and Tina all over the place, yet boring. The introduction, as someone said, was something everyone has done and then the fact that she used her own songs, which pale in comparison to the GREATS she was honoring. Would I ever utter “to da lef, to da lef” after saying Sarah Vaughan’s and Ella Fitzgerald’s names? lol Then, Tina did two ROCK SONGS because she is a ROCK STAR (and she ROCKED too lol) and Beyonce comes back for the final song. Blah. It just showed that, aside from mimicking her wild dancing, Beyonce has NOTHING IN COMMON WITH TINA. Beyonce’s voice did NOT meld with Tina’s and she DID step on the woman. lol!

Amy Winehouse, on the other hand, ROCKED!! I loved her performance, even though she was a bit extra with the dancing. Her style is so unique and she’s just got it…watching her is like going in some weird black contraption or something. She’s crazy artistic and deserves every one of the 5 Grammys.

Alicia’s vocals were crazy last night when she performed “No One” and she and John sounded great together I just wish she’d chosen another song. “No One” did win a Grammy or a couple but I don’t like it. She sounded great last night, though.

You need some tips in making observations, don’t you? First of all, we don’t know anybody stepped on anybody’s foot…all we know is they collided and we know that because we heard the sound, we saw the loopy camera action and we saw TINA abruptly jolt back, we heard her shrieking briefly as one might before a fall. On-stage collaborations at the Grammys are always a surprise (and sometimes, even good!). I loved the Alicia Keys performance with John Mayer. Wow! She really brought it and it seemed like the most natural thing in the world for them to perform together. Also LOVED Herbie Hancock’s piano duet performance with Lang Lang of Rhapsody in Blue. Double wow! I thought the Tina-Beyonce performance was only so-so, to be honest. Love Tina, but I could hardly hear her sometimes! Also wondering about that outfit. Rihanna’s performances were good. I’m not worried about Beyonce and Jay, though. They’ll ‘work it out’. Finally, Kanye got his due, but his arrogance is growing tiresome. I was kinda happy for Amy Winehouse. Alicia was the best female performer. And props to her for her Grammy wins (what is her count up to now?) Her voice is so angelic and soulful. It’s almost not fair that she’s pretty on top of eveything else.

Rihanna has all the syle, beauty and hits in the world, but she’ll never be able to fill the hole in pop music that Britney Spears left. After watching Rih and Fergie, I felt the loss. Britney was such a great and exciting performer. Pop is almost dead without her.

I was underwhelmed by the Tina/Beyonce gig. I would have rather just seen Tina get down, b/c Bey just took up space with her same ole big booty and glitter foray. They both lit up the stage though. And props to Tina, b/c she and J.Hud remain the only two artists I ever actually paid attention to while they were on the stage with Beyonce. Bey’s great presence usually drowns out everyone else, but Tina mesmerised me. She really did. I didn’t know she could still get down like that!

No, wait,I just saw Amy’s performance, and .I’m going to cop the album tomorrow!.She’s extraordinarily talented. The awkward dance moves work for her and her image. I knew she coud sing, but man her voice is really awesome. She sounds like someone from another era-no wonder she’s gotten so much buzz. When I first saw the performance I too thought it was just ok. But then I watched it a couple more times and saw that it was actually pretty great. Tina’s outfit was actually CHANEL. I think Tina and Bey bumped into each other and they both looked down quickly to make sure the other was okay. Professional. This was probably the most down to earth I’ve seen Bey and it shows how humble she is. I was happy to see one Legend passing the torch to someone who is well on their way to becoming legendary!

Bey and Tina were the best performance of the night in my view. Alicia bores me like always, rihanna and the time we’re ok. Carrie was good. The Gospel section was on point. Two things I didnt like was the fact that Ne-Yo won best contemporary r&b album and we all know Keyshia Cole’s Just Like Me shouldve won and them playing Kanye off. Im not even a fan of his but it was kinda rude.

Beyonce tore da pant off the mudafocking wallz!!!! Tina rocked too and kept up with Bey pretty good. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Beyonce’s opening outfit with the metallic green nails. The tie, the outfit was bananas!!! Her hair looks so good like this too. I hope she keeps it.

Alicia’s my girl, but I barely watch her live performances because she struggles to sing. If you have to look up at the sky just to stretch your vocals, you can’t sing. Singers that sing effortlessly - e.g., Beyonce, Steph Mills, Jaheim, OLD Whitney, etc.
